Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

After briefly examining Cyclops and Star’s transformations, Wen Yu turned his attention to the remaining three soul pets.

A smile slowly appeared at the corners of his mouth. Compared to Cyclops and Star, the changes in the remaining three soul pets were noticeably greater!

The Fourth Soul – Faceless.

The skill Human Creations (or debuff) was cleansed from Faceless long ago when it acquired its soul. The Second Skill, Manipulate (A-Class, Active Ability), was also efficiently cleaned up by Wen Yu. Faceless is quite unique; it only needs one Perfect Duplication (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Ability) to exert extraordinary combat abilities!

And Faceless’s remaining five abilities are even more interesting.

Deification (SSS-Class, Passive ability): Raises the host’s physique by two hundred percent!

×5...

That’s right, it’s ×5...

Apart from Perfect Duplication, all the remaining skills on Faceless are Deification (SSS-Class, Passive ability)!

This is an ability crafted and named by Wen Yu himself. The usage is self-explanatory: it augments Wen Yu’s own state! In the Soul State, stacking five Deifications will bring a tenfold increase to Wen Yu!

This is Wen Yu’s plan for Faceless’s future role. After Faceless uses Perfect Duplication, its own skills will be completely replaced. Generally, except for Perfect Duplication, the remaining skills are entirely useless for Faceless. Instead of leaving skill slots empty, it’s better to have Faceless become an augmentation device for himself, and a Level 10 Faceless is sufficient to provide Wen Yu with a nine-Deification increase – that’s eighteen times, which is quite considerable.

As for the change in The Fifth Soul – Victor, it is even bigger.

Victor has never had Limit Breaking Abilities; three years ago, the military brought a Limit Breakthrough Level ability that suited Victor very well. And two years ago, they brought an Esoteric Level ability, which Wen Yu installed entirely on Victor.

Correspondingly, Wen Yu removed two useless skills from Victor: Double Body (SS-Class, Active Ability) and Traceless (S-Class, Active Ability).

Double Body (SS-Class, Active Ability) doesn’t require much discussion. Perhaps for an Independent, having a carbon copy could be significant. Based on Wen Yu’s estimation, if Double Body (SS-Class, Active Ability) could be promoted to an Esoteric Level ability, it might create a carbon copy with the same strength as the original. But since Victor is Wen Yu’s soul pet, this ability became redundant—a carbon copy with 100 physique points unable to use Esoteric Level skills left Wen Yu stumped for a use, especially since Wen Yu gave Victor a Limit Breakthrough Level ability. Upon comparison, Double Body (SS-Class, Active Ability) was naturally discarded...

As for Traceless (S-Class, Active Ability), it’s somewhat regrettable. Victor’s combat style leans towards the mysterious side, with main skills like Netherworld and Dream Shaping, both possessing eerie and unpredictable qualities. It was discarded because Wen Yu obtained a better replacement.

Void Traversing (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Ability): Once activated, the host will possess the power of Void movement and can freely maneuver within invisible and undetectable Void.

Note: Void is a mirror world derived from the main world, where the time flow in both worlds is identical. Upon entering the Void, it’s akin to completely vanishing from the main world, but the two worlds cannot interfere with one another.

Note: Void Traversing has no cooldown, no restrictions, and no consumption; activation and deactivation are entirely at the host’s discretion.

Note: Once the Void Traversing state is ended, the host’s position will be the same as the Void’s internal position.

An extremely powerful skill encompassing stealth, assassination, and even defense. Wen Yu has conducted simple experiments to confirm the power of this skill. When Victor employs Void Traversing, even Wen Yu cannot detect Victor’s location. Moreover, the mirror world known as Void is somewhat special. Even if Wen Yu possesses the power to break space, he cannot harm Victor within the Void.

Although it seems like a stealth ability, in truth, it is a skill that combines offense and defense into one super strength!

And Victor’s Limit Breakthrough Level ability is related to this skill and the Netherworld...

Dimensional Toughening (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Passive Skill): The barriers between spaces are extremely sturdy. Correspondingly, after shattering space, the energy that escapes is also extremely formidable. In the former Mirror World, an unknown powerful expert developed an ability to enhance oneself utilizing space conversion power, named Dimensional Toughening.

When the host travels through different spaces (entering or exiting a treasure land, skills creating otherworldly space, even Instantaneous Movement, space shackles, dimensional space seals, etc.), it will passively absorb the energy dispersed from broken space barriers, thereby increasing the upper limit of the physique. The enhancement magnitude depends on the energy generated by space breaking.

The acquisition of this ability was a year ahead of Void Traversing (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Ability). At that time, Victor had the Netherworld, and Wen Yu didn’t hesitate to hand this ability to Victor while conducting a series of experiments with Victor.

This includes using Instantaneous Movement in the Netherworld—negligible increase in physique upper limit, converting between the Netherworld and the real world—moderate increase, entering and exiting treasure lands—low increase. And after acquiring Void Traversing, Wen Yu had Victor try it—identical to entering and exiting the Netherworld.

Before obtaining Void Traversing, Wen Yu let Victor alternate between entering the Netherworld and treasure lands—entering the Netherworld consumes a large amount of stamina. Under this scenario, the enhancement speed of this ability is comparable to Star’s Mountain Observing Technique, but if considering that Mountain Observing Technique offers ”Wonderful Rewards,” the effect of this ability is, in truth, weaker than Mountain Observing Technique. However, acquiring Void Traversing breathed new life into this skill.

As of now, Victor’s physique has reached 568342 points. As for species innate talent...it still remains a measly 9.6...

From this, one can clearly see the difficulty of enhancing species innate talent.

Regarding the remaining skills, they are still Night Eyes (SSS-Class, Passive ability), Dream Shaping (SSS-Class, Active Ability), Netherworld (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Passive Skill), Reality and Illusion: Nine Lives (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Skill) (7/9).

As for Night Eyes, it has upgraded from SS-Class to SSS-Class. The skill description hasn’t changed, but its power has significantly escalated, especially under moonlight, where its hypnosis and hallucination power is incredibly formidable.

Currently, Victor is wandering all over the world with Luo Luo, utilizing Void Traversing every now and then, leading to a gradual increase in the physique upper limit.

Luo Luo’s situation is simpler, being a five Esoteric Level one SSS-Class Amalgamated Willpower Entity inherently not requiring skill upgrades; she just needs to continuously gather ant colonies.

Fact has proven that ants, as organisms, can indeed be counted as a major tribe in the current era. Five years ago, Wen Yu already instructed Victor to take Luo Luo and run wildly across the world. Up to now, the action of ”scavenging ant colonies worldwide” has merely reached eighty percent—Wen Yu can’t calculate how many Ant Tribe he has in hand; he only knows Luo Luo’s current strength is beyond reason—Heavenly Yuan Breathing Technique, Queen’s Bodyguard...

If Faceless replicating Wen Yu or Tang Haofei counts as Wen Yu’s most powerful soul pet, then Luo Luo is undoubtedly the second strongest!

It’s rather amusing indeed that the representative of the Ant Tribe attending the All Races Conference is precisely Luo Luo...

This was suggested by Lin Haifeng, and despite knowing Luo Luo is Wen Yu’s soul pet, entire Ant Tribe being Wen Yu’s vassal, the other races all turned a blind eye to this matter.
