Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Bang!”

The heavy stone hammer created a sound explosion, smashing down on Kasu’s little follower.

From Kasu’s perspective, he could clearly see the head of his sycophantic follower, crushed and splattered like a watermelon under the blow, with white and red splattering everywhere. A round eyeball rolled to Kasu’s feet.

The heavy hammer continued downward, instantly smashing the little follower into a mess of disgusting pulp until it stopped abruptly, just three centimeters from the ground!

The strength was unbelievably potent, and the control over the power was exceptionally precise!

Just as the estimation of the opponent’s combat strength formed in his mind, Kasu immediately labeled the adversary as unbeatable.

With just a single swing, it shattered Kasu’s heavenly armament. The physical prowess of the Furious Demon in the distance was at least three times his own!

However, the nightmare was far from over!

Although the transmission channel was bidirectional, without some special means, it was impossible to transmit information from one space to another—at least the gravely injured Kasu couldn’t do it now.

Thus, the tragedy began...

The members of Kasu’s team immediately followed their captain through the transmission channel. However, the overwhelmingly strong Furious Demon was savagely blocking the other side of the channel. As soon as another figure stepped through, the Furious Demon raised the war hammer once more!

”Boom!”

”Boom!”

”Boom!”

Just like playing a whack-a-mole game, one Sequence-class powerful expert after another entered the transmission channel, only to be smashed into bloody pancakes.

This scene made Kasu’s eyes almost pop out of their sockets, while the Frenzied Demon delighted in the slaughter, nostrils flaring with thick streams of breath. It opened its mouth wide and laughed hysterically to the sky, ”I am Executor Wajil, die, worms!”

”Boom!”

The hammer struck the ground, mixing blood and flesh with the soil into a crimson muck. In a matter of moments, seven military Sequence-class experts and three divine beast species all perished under Wajil’s hammer.

This was a short span, just enough for Kasu to down a bottle of healing potion!

At this moment, Kasu’s injuries had yet to heal, the broken arm showing no signs of regrowth, while Wajil, seeing no more moles popping out from the transmission channel, hefted his hammer on his shoulder, and with an ugly twist of his head, stared at Kasu with eyes the size of fists.

”Little guy, now it’s your turn.”

...

The wound on his right hand hadn’t healed yet, and the unexpected head-on blow had shattered his heavenly armament. This skill was unusable for now, yet Executor Wajil was pacing towards Kasu, large hammer propped on his shoulder, leaving each step stirring up clouds of dust.

Wajil wasn’t in a hurry. Prey, especially one that could withstand his attack, wearing a desperate expression when faced with death, was something to look forward to.

However, before closing in on the enemy, a bright white barrier of light erupted from Kasu’s body.

Pure Light Realm (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Skill): Pure light elements envelop the host within their range, which is determined by the host’s power level. Within the Pure Light Realm, non-light attribute skills are nullified (Esoteric Level skills will be contingent on both hosts’ power); simultaneously, the host transforms into a pure light body with limitless endurance in sunlight, with the potential physical cap slowly rising. Light attribute skill effects are doubled! All cooldowns on light attribute skills (if any) vanish!

This was a reward Wen Yu received during the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, where Wen Yu traded this skill with Tang Haofei for Cyclops’s Limit Breakthrough Level ability Great Feast. It didn’t mean the skill was weak, just that it didn’t fit Wen Yu’s skill system.

Once the Pure Light Realm was in the hands of the military, it remained at the bottom of their inventory until recently when Kasu completed an important task and received it half as a reward and half as a gift from Lin Haifeng.

And Kasu, this man referred to as the Apostle of God, possessed only light-based skills!

After the light burst forth, the white light within Kasu surged, quickly integrating into his severed limb, and his eyes remained fixed on the approaching Executor Wajil, watching as the earthy glow on its body began to collapse, allowing Kasu a sigh of relief.

Repelling non-light attribute skills—the Pure Light Realm’s attribute made Wajil’s defense skills ineffective.

Yet before Kasu’s injuries could fully heal, Wajil let out a wild laugh from the opposite side.

”Bang bang bang...”

The hefty right hand thumped against its chest, producing clangs like metal striking metal. Seeing Kasu’s confused eyes, Wajil seemed to find a sense of superior pleasure.

”What, thought my skills failed? Sorry, but as one of the guardians here, all my skills are Esoteric Level!”

”The glow just receded as the second stage of my defense skills. You really thought your puny strength could seal off my skills?”

Just as the words fell, a mountainous figure lunged at Kasu; Wajil’s rapid speed far exceeded Kasu’s reaction limits.

The white light turned into sharp swords, slashing and bombarding, but upon striking Wajil’s body, they merely made a ”ding” sound before being rebounded and shattered by its powerful surface defense capabilities.

Defense unbroken!

At this moment, Kasu could only look on helplessly as a rocky hand grabbed at his head, grasping tightly and lifting.

The sudden immense pressure that enveloped his body felt like a mountain, rendering Kasu immobile. At this moment, Kasu finally understood why his teammates charged out of the transmission channel one after another, standing idle as wooden blocks before Wajil’s massive hammer, only to be mercilessly harvested.

This was the suppression of skills...

Until Wajil brought Kasu before his face, four eyes meeting, and seeing the despair in Kasu’s eyes, Wajil sighed satisfiedly.

”Your performance pleases me, so I will grant you a beautiful death.”

”Hm, let’s do it this way...”

So said Wajil, then grasped Kasu’s body with his left hand, tightening the grip. Blood rushed violently; under the massive pressure, Kasu felt his blood quickly filling his head, his eyes starting to go red. Seeing Wajil raising his right hand, slightly curving his fingers before forcefully flicking!

”Boom~~~”

The forehead was immediately torn open by the immense force, blood spraying high like a fountain from the wound on Kasu’s head. This splendid spectacle left Wajil entranced.

”Did you see, Lord Uxas, Sager, did you see? Such a magnificent death!”

”Hm.”

Sitting at the back, clad in black armor, Uxas responded nonchalantly, whereas a sharp taunt sounded from above.

”Big guy, stop flaunting your fetish, someone’s approaching the transmission channel again.”

The colleague above spoke in a patronizing tone, making Wajil snort. ”Tch, you don’t understand art...”

After speaking, he scurried to the transmission channel’s entrance, seeing the light and once more raised his heavy hammer high.

”I am Executor Wajil, die, worm!”

”Boom!”

The heavy hammer struck again, yet was met with unexpected resistance below. The nearly three-meter-wide hammer head obscured Wajil’s sight, and at this moment, Wajil couldn’t see the face of the person below.

Until a voice came from beneath the hammer.

”Such a warm welcome.”

”Also, should I fittingly declare, I am Human Race Sequence Number 2?”

As soon as the words fell, Wajil felt a tremendous force arise from beneath the hammerhead, his proud strength abruptly suppressed by the tiny figure below; the massive hammer, like a toy, was casually brushed aside by the figure. Immense force burst forth, and Wajil’s body was uncontrollably off balance, about to tumble to the ground in an instant.

Unfortunately, the action of falling to the ground never completed. When Wajil’s head was less than a meter from the ground, a whip-like leg smashed fiercely onto Wajil’s forehead.

In an instant, the world spun violently, bones audibly fractured, and Wajil lost consciousness entirely.
