Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Until Uxas’s uncontrollable body charged right in front of Wen Yu, the shadow at Wen Yu’s feet suddenly twitched!

From Wen Yu’s shadow, a black energy instantly tied to Wen Yu’s waist, pulling hard and dragging his body three meters to the right, avoiding Uxas’s impact. Meanwhile, the black light slowly poured into Wen Yu’s body. In no time, his body opened its eyes again and gave Uxas a strange smile.

”Is it fun?”

Holding the dual guns, Wen Yu’s Soul Body smiled at Uxas, who had stopped moving, and then the dual guns fired!

The furious barrage of bullets hammered down on Uxas like a torrential rain. The confused Uxas simply raised a giant sword, roughly the size of a door, which was enough to shield his robust body. Bullets collided with the giant sword, emitting a sharp ”ding dong” sound.

Uxas, who was enduring the attack, stumbled back, yet his eyes remained fixed on Wen Yu’s moving body, until he saw Wen Yu retrieve a pair of finely crafted daggers from the space ring and then turn to walk towards Uxas’s body...

”Damn it, you’re cheating! Don’t touch my body!”

Although Uxas didn’t quite understand the bizarre situation before him, it didn’t stop him from realizing that Wen Yu intended to do something to his body...

The chaotic gray light in his eyes burst instantly, the Pale Eyes—now more appropriately called the Chaos Eye—shot out two streams of violent energy, and in the blink of an eye, the energy streams struck Wen Yu’s body...

Then passed straight through!

The Soul Body is incapable of causing any harm or effect on solid entities!

Then, Uxas watched as Wen Yu’s body stiffly raised a dagger and fiercely stabbed it into his own body.

”Ding~~”

No defense break...

...

”Master, I can’t pierce through Uxas’s Soul-Armored body.”

”As expected...”

Darkness Puppet’s spiritual fluctuation conveyed the message, which was not good news.

Wen Yu maintained the fire suppression on Uxas while keeping an eye on the movements of his own body in the distance, even having the spare capacity to comment on the strengths and weaknesses of his new tactic.

”I should find a weapon that ignores any defense capabilities. Hmm, I remember Old Man Fran seems to have some bleeding crossbow arrows that disregard defense; those would fit this fighting style well.”

”Do you want me to look for Old Man Fran?”

”Forget it, instead, you leave the Dimensional Maze through the teleportation passage and check on the Origin Extraction Device outside. I’ll handle things here.”

”But once your body and Soul Body are too far apart, won’t it forcibly end the Soul Out-of-body State?”

”I don’t know, just give it a try.”

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s words, his body staggered towards the Dimensional Maze’s exit not far away.

...

Darkness Puppet was merely an incidental product when Wen Yu experimented with the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill. Its capability in breaching defenses was far inferior compared to Mountain Kui, Cloud Puppet, or Corpse puppet, and Wen Yu himself didn’t think much of this darkness element life form, treating it more like a pet—usually residing in Wen Yu’s shadow, suddenly bursting forth to deliver a surprising shock to enemies.

However, some time ago, when Wen Yu was sorting and summarizing his skills, he unexpectedly discovered that the existence of Darkness Puppet had another unimaginable effect on him!

Soul Abiogenetic Creation perfectly bypasses the Soul Battlefield, meaning Soul Abiogenetic Creation can freely enter and exit the barrier range of the Soul Battlefield. Once Wen Yu activates the Soul Battlefield, any enemy’s body loses control, but the Soul Puppet remains unaffected—the perfect conjunction of Soul Battlefield and Soul Abiogenetic Creation. Once Wen Yu initiates Soul Battlefield, no matter how powerful an enemy, before the Soul Puppet, they’re just helpless logs that can only take hits!

In this way, Darkness Puppet’s usefulness is significant... not really...

The enemies that require Wen Yu to activate the Soul Battlefield are absolutely terrifying in physical prowess, enough to make normal creatures despair with just their physical defense capability. Yet, Darkness Puppet’s physical attack power is weak, and its dark energy is not abundant, capable only of casting some dispensable curses. But curses also depend on physical prowess. Wen Yu’s curse could crush a normal Peak Level 6 life form into immobile flesh, but Darkness Puppet’s curse was more like drizzle.

Just like now, Uxas’s body lay there, but even the Corpse puppet with the most outstanding individual abilities couldn’t move this ironclad box...

Yet there is a solution—a weapon that ignores defense, which Wen Yu doesn’t have right now. So at this moment, the role of Darkness Puppet isn’t to attack, but to protect.

By channeling dark energy into the body to control Wen Yu’s body, similar to a puppet on strings, it could even manipulate an enemy’s body, either distancing them from the battlefield or performing simple tasks, greatly enhancing Wen Yu’s combat flexibility.

”Hmm, I should make a weapon myself when I return this time.”

Thinking this in his mind, the body being manipulated by the Darkness Puppet had already immersed into the last teleportation passage.

...

Accompanied by the flashing teleportation light behind him, Wen Yu felt a powerful force coming from afar, constantly tugging at his Soul Body. However, this force was not strong enough to affect Wen Yu’s Soul Strength, merely a slightly noticeable interference.
