Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

When Uxas raised his sword and roared furiously, Wen Yu indeed felt the threat.

The sword coming straight at him was both fast and strong, filled with black energy that extinguished life, even causing Wen Yu’s skin to tingle painfully.

This guy, being one of the Demon Spirit’s collection and able to stand out from them, forcing the Demon Spirit to consume a vast amount of Creation Energy for his Perfect Resurrection to serve as the final boss here, naturally has his merits.

In terms of physical qualities alone, this Uxas has at least more than 500,000, while his divine beast talent remains unknown, perhaps slightly weaker than Wen Yu, yet the gap is not large.

In other words, in terms of physical qualities, Wen Yu is far from being his match.

However, Wen Yu’s strongest point is not physical qualities!

Seeing the heavy giant sword descending with overwhelming momentum, Wen Yu merely took a step back, bringing along Fran and Kasu behind him into the teleportation channel...

As the teleportation light flashed by, Fran and Kasu were bewildered.

”This... this...”

Originally thinking it would be an extravagant melee, who would have thought Wen Yu shamelessly escaped without a fight...

For a moment, neither of them knew what to say.

Until Wen Yu resolved their doubts.

”You two, well, I mean no offense, but your power is too weak, I fear you can’t withstand the aftermath of the battle, so I brought you out first, from now on, just wait here, leave the rest to me.”

After saying this, Wen Yu gently patted Fran’s shoulder, then activated the concealment effect of the Heaven-covering Robe, and in a blink, his figure and aura completely vanished without a trace.

Then, the teleportation channel ahead flickered with light once more.

...

Everything was accomplished in the blink of an eye, and when Uxas’ giant sword hit the ground, the entire space returned to silence.

”Where are they?”

Uxas shouted incredulously, followed by the weak voice of Spider-being Sager from behind.

”Master, it seems they ran through the teleportation channel...”

”That bastard! How dare he humiliate me!”

Uxas roared with fury, not even noticing the teleportation light flickering once again in front of him, until Sager’s scream reached his ear.

”Master, watch out!”

The sharp voice cut through the eardrum, and at the same time, Uxas felt a tightness around his waist, a green vine had already coiled around his waist.

A familiar mocking voice sounded from behind: ”It’s not that I want to humiliate you, but you dare challenge me, I really wonder who gave you the courage!”

A massive pulling force came from his waist, instantly dragging Uxas’ body backward.

The scene before his eyes kept retreating, and out of the corner of his eye, Uxas clearly saw Wajil and Sager wrapped tightly in vibrant green vines, his two underlings at this moment were covered like steamed buns, the vines squirming incessantly over them, and his extraordinary hearing ability bestowed by his formidable physical quality allowed Uxas to hear Sager’s screams and groans.

However, whatever happens to the underlings is not within Uxas’ consideration, although the Demon Spirit appointed Wajil, Sager, and the Spirit of Fear as his assistants, never did it say to preserve their lives.

The real victory still depends on his own strength.

And Uxas is extraordinarily confident in his strength!

The body covered with black armor twisted slightly, the vines coiled around his waist shattered instantly, Uxas once more raised his giant sword, and then, exerting force from his waist, his entire body spun 180 degrees in an instant, and he saw Wen Yu behind him.

Thus, the attack came in a flash!

...

The heavy slash identical to the previous one, but this time, Uxas struck in anger, with no reservations, the sword edge was considerably superior, the swirling black light ripped through the dark defensive field beside Wen Yu, instantly touching Wen Yu’s forehead!

Feeling the tremendous strength emanating from above, Wen Yu, on the verge of being attacked, merely uttered four words lightly.

”Soul Battlefield!”

The soul power roaring instantly swept across the sword edge overhead, Wen Yu’s body softened at once, while Uxas’ sword edge also paused slightly, yet its momentum unchanged as it continued towards Wen Yu!

The Soul Battlefield likewise pulled out Uxas’ Soul Body which was practically within reach, yet Uxas himself was Soul-Armored both with the black armor on his body and the giant sword in his hand; thus, losing the physical body did not disrupt the soul body’s initial stance, the attack wasn’t interrupted by the Soul Battlefield.

What changed, was nothing but Wen Yu himself.

In Soul State, the original physical qualities automatically converted into Soul Strength, equating to the physical qualities changing from the initial 200,000 to a gigantic 5,000,000 while the divine beast talent from Universe of Immortals and Heroes still augmenting the Soul Strength.

The energy source for skill activation likewise transitions from physical quality to Soul Strength, in other words, in Soul State, Wen Yu’s raw power soared by a massive 25 times!

This disparity sufficed to crush everything!

Therefore, naturally, the sword blade coming their way came to a halt.

It was caught between Wen Yu’s fingers...

...

The sudden transition from physical to Soul Body state did not stir any waves in Uxas.

Already after his resurrection, Uxas received short-term guidance from the Demon Spirit, naturally making him aware of the two super powerful experts of the Human Race—Wen Yu and Tang Haofei. Moreover, Wen Yu’s famed Soul Battlefield naturally left Uxas prepared for it.

Even before arriving on Earth, Lord Demon Spirit utilized Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill to engrave the source of his skills within Uxas’s Soul Body, in other words, Uxas could still deploy his skills in Soul State.

As Nightmare said, Uxas had come specifically for Wen Yu!

Looking at the Sequence Number 2’s soul state in front silently clutching his attack, Uxas was astonished at the disparity between Wen Yu’s Soul Strength and physical quality, whilst not daring to slacken one bit.

Light began to flicker in his eyes, at both pupils, white light surged restlessly, facing Wen Yu in Soul State, Uxas without hesitation pulled out one of his trump cards, also the origin of his nickname.

Pale Eyes!

A laser-like white light beam shot out from Uxas’ pupils, carried within was pure bright force and incredibly potent lethal damage capability, leading Uxas to firmly believe that anyone caught in the gaze of his eyes would suffer, even a Level 11 powerful expert.

Sure enough, under the surge of white light, Wen Yu retreated...

Wen Yu’s Soul Body quickly merged with his physical body, until only the upper half remained yet to enter the flesh, meanwhile, the power of the Soul Battlefield began to disintegrate, Uxas could sense an enormous pulling force from the physical body dragging his Soul Body back into the flesh instantly.

But then again, the Pale Eyes attack had already been unleashed, and Uxas firmly believed Wen Yu was bound to be heavily wounded from this blow!

However, Uxas did not wait for Wen Yu to be severely injured, what he awaited was instead another Soul Battlefield...

And a forceful punch!

”Boom!”

The powerful punch landed fiercely on Uxas’ chin, the tremendous strength shattered Uxas’ jawbone and facial armor, simultaneously sending Uxas soaring, until he flew out of the boundaries of the Soul Battlefield, and concurrently, the body-to-soul pull force struck again, in a blink, Uxas’ Soul Body returned into the flesh.

The damage inflicted on the soul faithfully translated to the physical body, Uxas’ chin began to crumble, viscous light blue blood started dripping, while Soul-Armored crumbled piece by piece, till the body and Soul Body were fully synchronized.

Seeing Wen Yu smiling brightly in front of him, Uxas was shocked, puzzled, and incredulous.

”How could this... be...”

”There’s nothing impossible, I can only say, you’re too weak. Trying to challenge me is merely humiliating yourself...”

After saying this, Wen Yu strode forward, watching as Uxas defiantly fired another Pale Eyes, Wen Yu merely silently activated the Soul Battlefield.

The boundaries of the Soul Battlefield blocked in front of Wen Yu, until the white light touched the Soul Battlefield, then disappeared like fart into thin air...

The Soul Battlefield is utterly immune to any attacks except Esoteric Level Spirit-based attack skills, and not only does it lack cooling time, but also the range of its external release can be freely controlled by Wen Yu.

To put it another way, it’s the strongest defensive means with only Esoteric Level Spirit-based attack skills as its sole weakness!

As long as the timing of Soul Battlefield’s switch is mastered, when facing enemies devoid of Esoteric Level Spirit-based attack skills, whether they can utilize their skills in Soul State matters not, Wen Yu stands inherently undefeated!
