Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 198: Chapter 199 She is the most important guest of our Hidden Mist Village

”Brother, who is she?”

”She is the most important guest of our Hidden Mist Village, the konoha songstress.”

...”Karin, Sakura, you must perform well this time. My Summoning Beasts depend entirely on the two of you!”

As long as this public performance is successful, the task of training trainees will be pretty much secured.

The two were baffled, unable to understand what Kano was talking about. But Karin would unconditionally agree to whatever Kano said.

”No problem, Big Sister! I will definitely sing with 120% of my energy!”

On the day of the concert, tourists and travelers from various countries, as well as fans of the diva from all over the Ninja World, gathered. Over a thousand people sat in the entire open-air venue.

Killer Bee couldn’t be seen this time; she had originally wanted to chat with him a bit more.

In reality, it was because Killer Bee had been grounded by the Raikage for his unauthorized actions last time; he had tried to escape several times but was caught each time.

”Hi~ Mina~! I am the konoha songstress, Nara Kano. I’m so happy everyone could come from so far away to support Kano-chan! Thank you, everyone!”

Most of the audience were not Ninjas, but mostly nobles and wealthy people from various places who were willing to spend money and time to come to a remote country to listen to songs.

Even if there were Ninjas, most were from the Hidden Mist Village, and the rest were Ninjas serving as guards.

”This time I’ve prepared a new song—’Sign’—dedicated to the Hidden Mist Village that is about to undergo reform. Just like a cocoon tightening like shackles, every struggle is accompanied by a tearing pain. The old shell falls away, the bone wings unfold, and as the morning light spills down, the colorful butterfly wings break through the cocoon. All the suffering finally condenses into the stunning moment of flapping wings. After the pain comes the ultimate beauty.”

”I realize the screaming pain

Hearing loud in my brain

But I’m going straight ahead with the scar”

The low sound of the piano began. Unlike her previous song styles, it didn’t seem as pleasant. Instead, the opening music made one’s heart feel oppressed, as if a breath were stifled in the chest.

Then, the rhythm of the music gradually sped up, and the knot in the heart also gradually loosened. The rhythm became higher and higher, but it was still oppressive, feeling as if it hadn’t fully unfolded until the chorus began—

”Tsutaeni kita yo kizuato o tadotte

Sekai ni oshitsubusarete shimau mae ni

Oboeteru kana namida no sora o

Ano itami ga kimi o koto o mamotte kureta

Sono itami ga itsumo kimi o mamotterun da”

Just like a butterfly after struggling, finally, spreading its wings! The knots in everyone’s hearts dissipated like a torn cocoon. Their blood gradually boiled, and their wings shone brilliantly in the sunlight!

This song was the OP from when Jiraiya died in battle; the opening was very oppressive, but then it picked up, inheriting his will.

For this song, Kano used the Tearful Ballad to harmonize the first part, and then used the Marching Tune and Cheerful Tune to set it off. It was like continuously blowing air into a balloon and then exploding it all at once.

The scene was incredibly enthusiastic!

In Kano’s vision, there were originally only scattered hearts, but in an instant, the hearts spread over everyone’s heads like a tidal wave.

[Wow! ?(•’?’• )?????? So much income! ?(•’?’• ?)? host, what did you do? (⊙o⊙)]

”I just held a concert.”

[Since when was your concert on such a large scale? d(?д???)]

”I’ve made progress too, okay? By the way, will the evaluation for that Idol trainee work this time?”

[Looking at your rehearsal, it should be about right. I’ll stop chatting for now; the Fengling Yueying System senior is holding a meeting for us. ??·?c·??*?? ??]

Since the little system said there was no problem, it should work this time.

This time, in order to train Idol trainees, besides singing and dancing together, she also had Sakura and Karin compose songs individually.

”Hello everyone, I’m everyone’s Karin-chan! Today I’m going to sing my original song, ’World’s Number One Big Sister,’ on stage. I hope you like it!”

With sweet hearts sparkling in her eyes, her cheerful singing stirred the enthusiastic hearts of the fans. The song was all about the girl’s admiration for her big sister, specifically referring to Kano. It praised Kano to the skies, and the audience could really empathize, making them love Kano-chan even more.

”Hello everyone, I’m your Sakura-chan. This song, ’Love Like It’s Within Reach,’ is dedicated to everyone, and also to the one who left.”

Sakura wrote a love song expressing a girl’s longing and a love that felt reachable yet remained distant. This deeply touched the girls with unrequited love in the audience, and even Ino was drawn to the song. Unfortunately, girls with unrequited love were in the minority, so it couldn’t resonate with the vast majority of people present, and thus Sakura failed to meet the requirements of a trainee.

They all followed Kano’s suggestion to put their strongest emotions into a song, as this would make it more infectious.

It was still a bit difficult to have them choreograph dances now, but they were allowed to do it themselves. This time, thanks to Karin’s outstanding performance, the system task was considered completed.
