Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 169: Chapter 169 What kind of fancy rules are these?

When a squad brings the classified document hidden there back to the Village and reaches the finish line, the exercise will end. However, there is only one classified document, so competition with other classes is inevitable.”

After hearing about the competition, everyone’s morale was high. Kano also cheered on her subordinates.

”Let’s go! We’ll definitely take everyone else down!”

What kind of fancy rules are these? As long as you can use force, all competitive games will turn into PVP. It would be better to just prepare for PVP from the start.

”Younger Sister, your thinking is too extreme.”

Shikamaru had already guessed what his sister wanted to do; she would surely win by any means necessary.

”I’ll clarify one more point: everyone is a comrade, so try to avoid malicious competition.”

”Ahaha, I was just cheering them on; I won’t actually do that.”

After the dismissal, the various squads prepared or set off.

Kano didn’t rush to set off with her subordinates; instead, she took them to make preparations first.

”The most important thing before executing a mission is intelligence. Having sufficient and accurate intelligence can greatly improve mission efficiency, achieving twice the result with half the effort.

For example, if we know in advance that we will encounter a river on the way, we can prepare a grappling hook in advance. That would be much faster than taking a detour, swimming, or building a bridge.”

Kano pointed at the map and explained the importance of intelligence to the three children. The children nodded to show they were listening.

”For another example, if someone in the squad can use Earth Release or Water Release to build a bridge, wouldn’t we not even need to bring a grappling hook?”

The children nodded again. Whether they understood or not, at least they were listening.

”Therefore, intelligence about your teammates is also very important. As the saying goes, ’Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win every battle.’ The first step is to be familiar with yourself and your teammates. So, let’s start with self-introductions; introduce your specialties and the abilities you’ve mastered. Let’s start with the boy.”

”My name is Tanaka Renta. Compared to other things, I’m better at Taijutsu, but my Taijutsu isn’t very good; it’s only average in the class.”

”Very good, next.”

”My name is Watanabe Rio. I specialize in Water Release Ninjutsu; I can spray water!”

After speaking, the young girl demonstrated it. She performed the hand seals clumsily, then raised her palm forward, and sure enough, water sprayed out. However, the position of the spray was a bit strange—why was it on top of her head?—and very little water came out.

At her age, Sasuke could already spit a Great Fireball. Spraying such a small amount of water, and from the wrong position, was, more or less, a bit lacking.

”Very good, next.”

”My name is Takahashi Yang Hui. I don’t have any special combat abilities; I just like singing.”

”Liking to sing is not bad at all. If there’s an opportunity, I can teach you.”

Hearing that Kano was going to teach singing personally, the other two students were also filled with envy and raised their hands one after another.

”I like singing too!” ”I like it too!”

”Okay, okay, I’ll teach you all when there’s an opportunity, but for now, we need to focus on the practical exercise.”

”Yes!”

Kano had actually investigated her three temporary subordinates in advance.

Failures, absolute failures. Presumably, Iruka knew the situation, which is why he assigned the three of them to Kano to lead.

”The weather might not be very good these next few days, there might even be heavy rain and strong winds, so remember to bring extra quilts so you don’t freeze while sleeping at night.”

”Bring quilts?”

”That’s right. You need to rest well at night so you can travel during the day.”

The children were very confused. Even when sleeping, everyone uses sleeping bags; who would carry quilts and pillows directly? Plus, they had to prepare tents, bring all kinds of tools, and food and Ninja tools.

”If we bring so much, won’t we be very tired when traveling?”

”With such a long way to go, you aren’t planning to walk there on foot, are you?”

”If we don’t walk, how are we supposed to get there?”

”By building a vehicle, of course.”
