Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 195: Chapter 194: Kano was so scared she was running all over the place

Kano was so scared she was running all over the place, riding on the deer’s back as if she might be caught at any moment.

The other companions also wanted to rescue Kano, but they were still a bit flustered.

Meanwhile, Hidan was bewildered; why was this pitch-black deer running so fast?! Every time he was about to catch up, it would throw him off with a sudden turn.

Shikamaru was the first to react, and he immediately began to take command.

”Choji, I’ll cover you. Go and stop that guy!”

With his own sister in danger, he was naturally more anxious than anyone. He controlled Shadow Haku to move rapidly using Ice Release, constantly releasing ice mirrors to interfere with Hidan.

Choji responded and charged forward using the Super Multi-Size Technique. Kano was the one who shared her potato chips with him; he would never allow anyone to hurt her!

”Ino, find an opening to control him. Sakura, Karin, you two support Ino.”

Shikamaru didn’t dare gamble on whether his sister was truly afraid or just feigning weakness; all he could do was his best to save her.

Ino immediately began to aim, preparing to use the Mind Confusion Technique to possess Hidan, while Sakura started forming hand signs to release a Genjutsu. Karin, on the other hand, swung her fists with Monstrous Strength, ready to rush in and pummel Hidan. Kano didn’t know any sealing techniques to teach Karin, but she had taught her Monstrous Strength.

In truth, Kano had been kiting Hidan all along to let her companions learn more combat techniques; with her watching over them, no accidents would happen. Even if Hidan accidentally obtained her blood, Kano had ways to keep him controlled until death.

To prevent the aggro from shifting, Kano would occasionally shout insults like ”Zako~ Zako~” and spit at Hidan. Hidan’s hatred was firmly drawn by Kano, and he even cursed back incessantly. This resulted in Kano’s spit landing directly in his mouth several times, which stabilized the aggro even further. He had even taken off his Akatsuki cloak just to be able to slash Kano sooner.

Not just Shikamaru, but the others were also extremely anxious. They could only interfere with Hidan and had no way to deal an effective blow to him.

Shikamaru racked his brains, trying every tactic and filtering through hundreds of ideas, but he couldn’t think of a way to stop Hidan until Asuma and the others arrived for support.

Think, think! Is there any way? There it is!

”Sakura, use Genjutsu one more time!”

”I don’t have enough Chakra left; I can only use it one last time. Genjutsu: Falling Petals Narakumi Technique!”

Due to the massive gap in levels, even the most effective Genjutsu could only control him for a few seconds.

”Run, and hide once you get away!”

He planned to let Kano leave first, even if they had to risk their lives to hold Hidan back.

”Ino!”

”Got it. Mind Confusion Technique!”

Through alternating controls, although each one didn’t last long, they managed to stall for more time.

”Choji!”

”Made it!”

Choji dug a large pit in the ground with his bare hands; it was impressive to achieve this through sheer brute force without Earth Release.

As Ino’s control was about to break, Shikamaru followed up with his own.

”Ninjutsu: Shadow Imitation Technique!”

Choji grabbed the once-again controlled Hidan and threw him directly into the pit.

”Don’t you dare think of hurting Elder Sister!”

Karin, carrying a giant boulder, leapt up and smashed it directly onto Hidan at the bottom of the pit, burying him alive.

Kano also widened her eyes, feeling that her big brother was quite amazing. Although Hidan hadn’t attacked them at all since his aggro was locked on her, for Shikamaru to bury Hidan alive just by commanding Genin was truly impressive.

”Big brother, you’re so amazing!”

”Why are you still here? Didn’t I tell you to go hide? These rocks definitely won’t be able to hold him forever. Go, quickly.”

”What are you talking about? Big brother, didn’t you already finish him off?”

As she spoke, the panting group saw a Shadow Ninja in the shape of a withered old man standing before the pit, forming hand signs. Hidan had just crawled out of the pit, and before he could even get two curses out, he fell straight to the ground, unable to rise again.

Immortal body? Go tell it to my Reaper Death Seal!

”Big brother, you’re so cool! Thank you for protecting me! And everyone else, you guys actually took down such a powerful enemy! You’re all so amazing!”

Shikamaru’s eyes widened.

What are you talking about? Didn’t you kill this guy? Didn’t you say he was immortal? This looks like it’s over for him.
