Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Departure, Head to the Land of Water

”Sasuke, you dare plot against your teacher!”

Kakashi clenched his fists in shame and anger, punching the wall with effort. He was currently confined by Kano in a ”room you can’t leave unless you xx.” Given that Kakashi’s Earth Release was very powerful, she had also given him a drug that disrupted the flow of Chakra, making him temporarily unable to use Ninjutsu.

Then came a long segment of content that couldn’t pass censorship. (It really couldn’t.)

Of course, Kano shifted all the blame for this onto Sasuke.

This was also the brilliant plan Shikamaru and Kano had come up with.

Kakashi had originally been prepared to accept the date this evening, but Kano and Shikamaru cooperated to drug him during the romantic candlelit dinner.

Even so, Kakashi still had his suspicions. Fortunately, Mei Terumī, who didn’t know the specific plan but was willing to cooperate, was there.

Kano had originally planned to leave after administering the drug, but Shikamaru felt that while Kano might escape the aftermath, the consequences would definitely fall on his head. So, he shifted the blame to Sasuke.

That day, Kakashi and Mei Terumī spent a fulfilling night of mutual affection.

The next day, Kakashi wasn’t the kind of bastard who would pull up his pants and refuse to acknowledge the person. Besides, he had already intended to accept her. He just hadn’t expected the gift Sasuke sent him to be something like this. He would definitely teach him a lesson next time!

Mei Terumī also returned to the Hidden Mist Village first, escorting Kano along the way. They also agreed on an address to exchange letters and prepare for marriage when the time was right.

Mei Terumī was incredibly impatient. Kakashi, by comparison, was much more reserved.

Kano didn’t even have time to tell Kakashi the information she had promised him before hurriedly leaving the village with Mei Terumī.

For this concert trip, Kano planned to bring her friends along again. But Hinata was too shy and didn’t want to go, and Tenten was out on a mission. Only her best friend Ino, her cute younger sister Karin, and her fellow disciple Sakura planned to follow.

Moreover, Ino didn’t plan to go on stage this time; she was just coming to accompany Kano. Since Kano had caused trouble with her older brother this time, she naturally couldn’t leave him alone in Konoha. If Kakashi-sensei realized it wasn’t all Sasuke’s plan and she and Sasuke weren’t there, wouldn’t her brother be the only one to suffer?

With her brother and Ino coming along, Choji also had the thick skin to ask to go together.

So Tsunade issued an escort mission, specifically arranging for Team 10 to guard Kano. This time, Asuma-sensei was traveling with them again. Although Shikamaru, who knew Kano’s true strength, thought:

”She needs an escort? It’s more like she’s escorting us!”

In fact, Tsunade understood this as well. This time was mainly to give Kano some company; she couldn’t really let the young girl run off to another village alone.

What if she was dazzled by some little girl from another village and forgot to return home? Just like Mei Terumī, Tsunade was already prepared to cause some trouble to try and get Mei Terumī to marry into Konoha.

Neji refused to mess around with Kano anymore, and Kano didn’t plan to bring anyone else.

In other words, only Kano, Karin, and Sakura would be on stage this time.

Sakura was diligent and eager to learn. Not only did she study the Mystical Palm Technique (Kano Version), but she also studied music-based Genjutsu and put effort into performing.

The relationship between Sakura and Ino had also improved significantly. The reason was a bit special.

Ino had Kano’s help in putting in a good word with Sasuke. Sakura had learned Sasuke’s secret.

Both sides felt they had won much more than the other and were already secure, so there was no need to treat a loser as a rival. Thus, in a misunderstanding, their relationship gradually eased, and they even comforted each other from time to time.

This time, Kano still traveled by carriage. There were three of them now. One for the girls, one for the boys and Asuma, and another for the luggage and Mei Terumī.

”Kano-chan, why do you have so little luggage this time? Does your mother not love you anymore?”

”What kind of talk is that? Mom’s love for me is still as heavy as ever. I’ve just put everything into my shadow.”

As she spoke, she used her small foot in white silk stockings to hook a piece of clothing out of the shadow.

”You can even store things in your shadow? That’s amazing! Can I reach in and feel it?”

”Of course.”

Kano stepped her small foot back into the shadow, maintaining the connection between the inside of the shadow and the outside world.

”Elder sister, I want to feel it too!”

”Kano-sensei, I want to try too!”

”Everyone can, everyone can.”

The girls were curious and reached their hands into the shadow to feel around. Most of what they touched were clothes and such. Only one thing felt warm, soft, and smooth.
