Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 155: Chapter 155 Sealing Jutsu

[host, do you want to swap? (?˙▽˙?) I’ll process it right away—too bad we’ll have to pay the fine again... (′.._. `)]

”Thanks for the hard work. I’ll do my best as an Idol and grind missions to boost your KPI.”

[host, you’re so sweet (-^〇^-)]

”All right, let me redeem it.”

[You got it ?(???)?]

A flash of light, and a scroll appeared in Kano’s hands.

This was the system-supplied forbidden jutsu scroll; it consumed almost no Chakra and placed virtually no burden on the user. Getting any random forbidden technique from the pool was a guaranteed profit.

Kano rubbed her hands together and started praying—please let it be Flying Thunder God.

Flying Thunder God, I want Flying Thunder God! As long as I get it, I can—

[Reverse Four Symbols Seal]

Good-bye. I’ll never trust the system again.

[Don’t blame me ∑(??д??lll) you just had rotten luck（｀Δ′）ゞ]

”Do you even see what it rolled? This counts as a forbidden technique? A self-destruct seal with tiny range and zero control.

It couldn’t even seal the big yellow dog at the village gate!

A garbage jutsu that costs your life just to seal a bridge—learning this is worse than learning the Seduction Technique!”

Looking at the Reverse Four Symbols Seal—trash activation conditions, trash effect—Kano felt she’d been scammed.

[Don’t panic yet ( ?? ﹏ ?? ) why not try fusing it? Maybe you’ll get something awesome ╮( •?ω•? )╭]

The system pointed at the ninjutsu fusion scroll worth a thousand popularity points. Kano had never bothered buying one since she lacked suitable material; now it had given her an idea.

Anything to dump this unlucky jutsu.

Whoever heard of a transmigrator learning Reverse Four Symbols Seal? Asking for death?

”Fine.”

Kano was still a bit shaken; last time, if not for a fluke, she’d have a pink Creation Rebirth Seal tattooed on her lower belly.

This time she came prepared: sitting on the ground, peeling off both white stockings, pressing bare feet to the scroll, forming seals, and injecting Chakra.

First jutsu: Reverse Four Symbols Seal. Second jutsu: already chosen—

Shadow Imitation Technique!

She couldn’t use it herself, but as fusion fodder it should work.

Super Fusion—activate!

A pillar of pink light shot skyward. Kano didn’t waste it; she had another scroll ready and sealed the beam inside—might be useful later. When the glow faded, a brand-new scroll lay at the center of the fusion array. Carefully hooking it closer with her foot, she opened the safe technique scroll and felt the new jutsu.

[Sealing Jutsu • Shadow Prison Pool]

Continuously consumes Chakra and grants the user’s shadow the following traits:

1. Anything that touches the shadow is sealed inside it.

2. The user can touch the shadow to retrieve sealed items.

Creatures sealed within cannot move; items remain unchanged.

After studying the technique, Kano found its seal strength far weaker than Reverse Four Symbols Seal. A Tailed Beast Ball-level blast could shatter her prison space.

That space existed inside her body; if she ever sealed some broken character who could blow up the world just by blinking, the explosion would cripple her too.

Probably because Reverse Four Symbols Seal was never on par with Edo Tensei to begin with.

Whatever—Kano figured she’d never use it on a living person; she’d treat it as a storage pocket.

If she really needed to seal someone, she still had Reaper Death Seal on a thirty-minute cooldown—no way anyone could survive that, not even an Edo Tensei corpse.

Because the technique had been fused from the system-supplied Reverse Four Symbols Seal, it inherited reduced Chakra cost and max proficiency. Keeping Shadow Prison Pool active constantly barely drained her, so she just left it on.

Once home she’d teach the jutsu to Dad and Mom. As for Shikamaru... he’d worked hard lately, so consider it his reward.

To measure others’ Chakra cost, Kano summoned a Shadow Clone and had it cast the technique.

After only three seconds the clone was empty.

Meaning anyone else would need hand seals and strict on-off control or they’d run dry. Luckily, sealing and retrieval were instant; once familiar, even an average clansman could use it for storage.

No more hauling scrolls everywhere—she could just dump her instruments into the shadow.

After tidying her scrolls, the cooldown on Shadow Exchange finished. Kano swapped places with Shadow Orochimaru and reappeared above the Valley of the End.

By now Naruto and Sasuke’s fight was almost over.

The Shadow Clone dispelled itself the moment the original returned, passing its memories to Kano.

Thanks to Kano persuading the Nine-Tailed, it gave Naruto far more Chakra, and far less malice.

This time Naruto pushed all the way to Three-Tails!

Sasuke refused to be outdone: Curse Seal Stage Two plus full Eight Gates, a dazzling array of jutsu—he held his ground against the stat monster through sheer skill.

”Sasuke!”

”Naruto!”

Kano didn’t know how dangerous their clash might be; she’d taken this fight seriously, expecting to enjoy the spectacle the way she had with Rock Lee.

But watching Naruto and Sasuke—companions she saw every day—trying to kill each other, her heart ached; she wanted to jump in and stop them.

Yet reason told her to let them finish—for both their sakes.

Chidori met Rasengan; a blinding white light swallowed half the valley. Naruto couldn’t bring himself to kill his best friend; his Rasengan lacked full force. Sasuke held nothing back, remembering Kano’s earlier words—

Naruto’s hidden strength.

Sasuke couldn’t afford to hold back; if he didn’t give everything, he’d lose.

In the end Sasuke edged ahead. Both drained of Chakra, they collapsed—yet Sasuke still found the strength to rise. Forcing himself up, the pain of the Curse Seal left him kneeling.

His face turned toward Naruto—his dearest brother.

”Sorry, Naruto, I have to keep this from you. I’ll come back—once my revenge is done, I’ll return. Forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye.”

The forehead protector with its single slash slipped from Sasuke’s head and landed against Naruto’s cheek.

Kano stepped up, crouched beside them, chin in hands, beaming like an amused aunt.

”Wow~ what a pair of star-crossed lovers~”
