Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 194: Chapter 195 The other companions also knew that Shadow Ninja belonged to Kano

The other companions also knew that Shadow Ninja belonged to Kano, but they hadn’t seen the Shadow Ninja move; how did Hidan just die?

On the other side, Asuma and Mei Terumī, who had already finished off two Earth Grudge Fear hearts, were also shocked.

”Shikamaru took down that monster?”

”Are the Chunin in your village this exaggerated?”

Asuma dazed for a moment before realizing it probably wasn’t Shikamaru’s doing. He knew Shikamaru’s abilities very well; it must have been his sister.

Mei Terumī was also very surprised. She had fought for so long and couldn’t kill Hidan, yet a Chunin leading a few Genin managed to slay him? Isn’t that a bit ridiculous!

No one understood exactly what had happened because they couldn’t see the Shinigami; they only saw Shadow Hiruzen standing there, and Hidan just dropped dead.

”Hidan, what are you doing! Get up!”

Kakuzu was fighting one against two and had already lost two lives; he was starting to find it hard to cope. But that guy Hidan was just lying there playing dead to mess with him.

Kakuzu cursed at him, but Hidan still didn’t move. Suddenly, he had a bad feeling... Crap, he couldn’t really be dead, could he?

Who exactly was it that took down Hidan?

First, rule out that diva; she looked like a weakling who was being chased all over. If she really had the ability to kill Hidan, she would have done it long ago.

The little fatty and the red twin-tails only had brute force, which couldn’t kill Hidan.

The pink-haired and blonde-haired ones only had control methods and no damage output.

The Chunin was commanding the battle the whole time, and only he was commanding the black Ninja to fight. Could it be that he used some special method to kill Hidan?

This is bad. I’m not in good shape and Hidan is dead; I can only retreat for now!

”Consider yourselves lucky this time.”

Kakuzu left two Earth Grudge Fear hearts to cover his rear while his main body fled first.

Asuma did not continue the pursuit after finishing off the Earth Grudge Fear hearts, and Mei Terumī did not abandon the group either. The two adults went to check if the children were injured, and only felt relieved after confirming everyone was safe.

”Shikamaru, you performed very well this time, commanding the battle perfectly as a Chunin. Everyone else did great too. And Kano, if you have tricks up your sleeve, bring them out earlier; you had us worried sick.”

Kano scratched her head.

”Sorry, sorry. They came so suddenly that I didn’t have time to say anything. But it was also a training opportunity for them; see, didn’t they learn a lot?”

”Kano-chan, you scared me to death. Next time you play weak, can you tell me first? I panicked when I heard you calling for help.”

”Exactly, Elder Sister really gave us a fright acting like that.”

The group returned to the carriage, first moving to a safe location, then resting well together and sharing their feelings about the battle.

Meanwhile, things weren’t going so well for Kakuzu.

Kakuzu fled to a deserted place alone to recover his Chakra.

This operation was a total loss.

He had lost four hearts directly, and Hidan had fallen too. Now the mission couldn’t be completed; had he really underestimated this big commission?

He had been careless this time, thinking the opponent’s combat power was only two Jonin and one Chunin. In reality, both Jonin were elites, and that Chunin’s methods were bizarre, possessing the combat power of a Jonin.

Furthermore, the opponent actually knew his intel; his weaknesses were all exposed, making it impossible to fight.

This round was lost due to information.

But he didn’t want to give up on this big commission. He had no choice but to call for backup. He heard from Konan that a new member seemed to be heading to the Land of Water; he could contact her to come and support.

What he needed to do now was to replenish his five hearts, then find an opportunity to team up with the new member, Kashi, to kill the konoha songstress together.
