Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 188: Chapter 188 What are you talking about?

After all, that probe had involved many Iwagakure Ninjas, and Kano had been planning to use that as an excuse to stir up trouble.

”What are you talking about? Isn’t it nice to have a bit of peace?”

”Yeah, a bit of peace is quite nice.”

Kano hadn’t intended to turn the Ninja World upside down from the beginning; she just wanted a stable and peaceful life. After all, no one hated her, and no one wanted to harm her.

Unlike other transmigrators from the Uchiha Clan who were full of deep hatred as soon as they transmigrated, racking their brains just to awaken their eyes.

”But Kano, you have to be careful. Your fame is growing, and there’s no guarantee that someone won’t be jealous or that a fanatic fan might try to hurt you.”

”Then you have to protect me. I’m just an Idol who can only sing and dance and has no strength to truss a chicken.”

”No strength to truss a chicken, huh? Then this fanatic fan is going to kidnap the soft and cute little Idol.”

...

Meanwhile, in Iwagakure, ōnoki frowned.

He had originally planned to take advantage of Konoha’s weakened strength to launch a sneak attack, seize the opportunity to start a war, and snatch some benefits.

But the Daimyo of the Land of Fire suddenly wanted to throw a party, and the ministers of the Land of Earth, along with his son and granddaughter, were all going, so he decided not to cause trouble for now to avoid them being taken hostage.

As a result, after his granddaughter went on that trip, she didn’t even want to be a Ninja anymore, insisting on becoming an Idol, singing, dancing, rapping, playing basketball, and so on.

Moreover, he also saw that the konoha songstress had a strong appeal; if utilized well, she could even be incredibly profitable.

It wasn’t just him who saw this; the Daimyo of the Land of Water saw it too. Although Mei Terumī’s original intention was just to have Kano sing to boost the atmosphere, which had been depressed due to the Blood Mist policy, and to revitalize the Hidden Mist Village.

However, the Daimyo of the Land of Water had heard Kano’s songs last time and knew how big the business opportunity was. Hearing that the konoha songstress was coming to the Land of Water, he immediately ordered the Hidden Mist Village to seize this opportunity.

He made these Ninjas work overtime to build a stage. Even if all the Ninjas of the Hidden Mist Village went into the audience, they would only make up a small portion. He intended to seize the opportunity to make money from the better seats, and he intended to make a lot of it!

For this reason, the Daimyo of the Land of Water advertised extensively, sending people everywhere domestically and abroad to spread the news. For a time, the entire Ninja World heard the name of the konoha songstress, and everyone was curious about just how magical she really was.

Even on ōnoki’s desk lay a flyer, which stated that on such-and-such date, the hottest Idol in the entire Ninja World, the konoha songstress, would hold an unprecedented, grand performance in the Hidden Mist Village.

A whole bunch of exaggerated descriptions.

Plus, there was a cute picture of Kano-chan, and next to it was written [I am so cute!]

ōnoki felt this was a good opportunity.

As for Idols, he was confident that he could cultivate one with some time; it was just singing and dancing, wasn’t it? Since this was profitable, they could naturally try it out too.

But before that, he had to break the monopoly at the top of the industry. In other words, he had to eliminate the konoha songstress first!

And he already had a perfect plan!

For this concert, the Daimyo of the Land of Earth planned to go and see it. After all, he was the only one who didn’t go last time, and this time, with the Land of Water also promoting it, it piqued the curiosity of the Daimyo of the Land of Earth.

Saying that he had to go and see it this time no matter what.

Actually, the Daimyo didn’t want to go, but ōnoki planned to trick the Daimyo into going.

This way, he would have a reason to accompany him as a bodyguard, and incidentally, train his disciple Akatsuchi to temporarily act as Tsuchikage.

ōnoki planned to bring more Ninjas as bodyguards; after all, it was normal to bring more guards on a long journey. But these Ninjas weren’t really going as bodyguards; they were going as assassins.

As long as they could assassinate the konoha songstress on the way and then seize the opportunity to frame the Hidden Mist Village, Konoha would go to war with the Hidden Mist. Iwagakure would have great opportunities, both economically and militarily!

ōnoki also considered the importance of the konoha songstress. The Land of Fire couldn’t be stupid; they would definitely have people specifically protecting the weak songstress who had no combat ability. So, he had prepared multiple arrangements, and even ōnoki going personally was to ensure everything was foolproof.

After all...

Without the Third Hokage, he, ōnoki, was invincible in the Ninja World!
