Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Mei Terumī Enters the Village

”Hello, little ones. I am a Ninja from the Hidden Mist Village, here to visit a friend in Konoha.”

Mei Terumī greeted them naturally.

”Are you here to find a boy you like, Big Sister? I’ve seen you putting on makeup for a long time. You only go to such trouble to dress up when you’re going to see someone you like, right?”

Moegi pointed at the makeup kit in Mei Terumī’s hands.

”No, no, I’m not here to find someone I like. I’m here to find the konoha songstress.”

Upon hearing that she was looking for Kano, he immediately recalled that Big Sister Boss had been busy arranging some blind date, specifically for Kakashi’s fiancée.

”Oh! So you’re here to see Big Sister Boss. Could it be that you’re Kakashi-sensei’s fiancée?”

”Fiancée?!”

”Yeah, everyone in Konoha Village knows. There’s a foreign fiancée coming to see Kakashi recently.”

”Though, I heard from Big Sister Boss that Kakashi doesn’t seem very willing.”

”Th-that’s how it is...”

Mei Terumī felt a bit dejected. It seemed the success rate this time wasn’t very high. She had brought so many gifts, thinking victory was certain.

”Don’t worry, Big Sister, we have a way to make Kakashi completely infatuated with you!”

”You? Are you sure?”

”Of course, no problem. We’ve undergone intensive training with Big Brother Naruto; we’re experts at handling men!”

...

At the entrance of Konoha Village.

Kakashi waited from morning until afternoon before finally waiting for his target.

Looking from afar, her attire seemed different from what Kano had described. Kano had put on her cool Idol glasses, which were in telescope mode this time.

”Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!”

Although Kano preferred smaller things, bigger ones were definitely eye-catching; there was no denying that.

”What do you see? Let me see too.”

Ino snatched the telescope from Kano’s hands and looked in the direction Kano was peering.

”So big!”

Ino wasn’t interested in such things, but she still looked at the first glance. It couldn’t be helped; it was human nature.

She then returned the telescope to Kano and asked her suspiciously:

”Although you said she was wealthy and very generous, isn’t this a bit too generous?”

Although Kano quite liked it, she also sensed something was wrong. Was Mei Terumī really this kind of person? Why was she different from her impression?

Once they were closer, Kakashi could see the person clearly, but he still hadn’t made out her face.

His first reaction was that she was wealthy, and his second was that she was generous.

His head lowered, thinking: ”I must maintain control!”

His lower head rose, saying: ”I approve of this marriage!”

After they got closer, Kano finally discovered the source of the oddity: the Konohamaru trio following beside Mei Terumī!

Kano instantly understood what had happened. Konohamaru and the others must have snuck out of the Village to play and run into Mei Terumī. Hearing she was looking for a man, Konohamaru, being as helpful as Naruto, must have chosen to assist.

What did children know about love? The only tricks they knew were the Seduction Technique taught by Naruto. One dared to teach, and the other dared to believe. Thus, Mei Terumī appeared dressed like a woman from a brothel.

Even though Naruto wasn’t there, his influence still affected this operation. He truly lived up to being the protagonist!

”Kano, why does it feel a bit different from what you described?”

Kakashi pinched his nose, trying his best to remain calm.

”Don’t ask me, go ask Konohamaru,” Kano said, pointing at the boy wearing goggles in the distance. ”Ask him how he tricked Mei Terumī into dressing like this.”

”Did you teach him the Brainwashing Technique?”

”I even taught him how to slay dragons!”

Kakashi also felt it was unlikely that Kano had taught Konohamaru the Brainwashing Technique. Come to think of it, did she actually know how to slay dragons?

It wasn’t until the two met and introduced themselves that Kano was able to carefully appraise the outfit Konohamaru had put together. Essentially, it was just the original clothing cut up; the lack of a few pieces of fabric caused areas that were originally tightly guarded to become revealing.
