Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 176: Chapter 176: Infiltrating the Akatsuki Organization

The subsequent drill was said to have been interrupted due to bad weather, but in reality, it was because the Akatsuki Organization was nearby, and the drill was canceled just to recall Naruto.

Kano had been comforting Sakura the whole way.

There was no help for it; compared to Naruto, she was practically more of a clown than a clown.

Sigh, Sasuke had no interest in romance while focused on completing his great revenge, and with Sakura repeatedly trying to hinder his revenge, if it weren’t for the fact that they were still friends, he would have long since added her to his kill list.

”There are plenty of flowers everywhere in the world, why insist on hanging onto a single blade of grass? Sasuke doesn’t like you, you can’t just hang yourself on his tree, can you? There are still plenty of good men in Konoha Village.”

”I still can’t let go of Sasuke. He is the only man I will ever like; I absolutely cannot like any other man.”

”Then if you don’t like men, you can consider girls. Look, aren’t girls sweet and soft, better than men?”

”Huh?”

The sudden lesbian comment completely baffled the weeping Sakura.

”Look, even if Ino has conflicts with you, she still cares about you. Isn’t that better than Sasuke? You and Karin have been partners for a while now, and she’s a good person too. Also, you could consider me...”

Faced with Kano’s flirtatious lesbian remarks, Sakura retreated three steps.

”No need, I only like Sasuke.”

”Well, if you don’t like people, that’s fine too. There are puppies, kittens, little hedgehogs...”

”That’s a bit too hardcore, isn’t it?”

It seems that trying to turn Sakura is quite difficult.

...

The next day, Kano changed into a leather suit and arrived at the agreed-upon location. The moment she saw Uchiha Itachi, she naturally put on her sunglasses.

”I heard you were looking for me?”

Konan stepped forward.

”That’s right. Since you are wearing our uniform, you must be aware of what kind of organization we are. So, I’ll give you two choices: first, join us, and second...”

”I’ll join!”

Kano’s decisiveness made Konan a bit unsure; could she be a spy or something? But her Chakra was truly scarce; even if she were a spy, she wouldn’t have the strength for it, right?

”You’re not going to hesitate? Aren’t you afraid that we are an evil organization or something?”

”The Akatsuki Organization is an organization that realizes peace! I love peace the most. I want to join the Akatsuki Organization and contribute to world peace!”

Konan didn’t know why she suddenly felt a sense of guilt for corrupting an innocent young girl.

”Actually, we aren’t that... Sigh, do you know how to achieve true peace?”

Looking at such an innocent young girl, Konan still intended to tell the truth and explain clearly to her what true peace was.

”Peace through absolute power is, of course, using force that surpasses the world to suppress all defiance in the current era! Whoever the hell dares to rebel gets killed immediately. That way, no one will dare to wage war, because those who want to wage war are all dead.”

”You... understand it... er... correctly.”

What is up with this girl? Why does she have the same ideas as Nagato? But Konan was still a bit unsure, so she asked one more question.

”Do you think peace can be achieved through dialogue?”

”That is simply wishful thinking. No matter how well you speak, there will always be deaf people who can’t hear, blind people who can’t see, and fools who can’t understand. But fists are different. If you can’t hear, you get beaten; if you can’t see, you get beaten; if you can’t understand, you get beaten even more. Without power, no one believes in truth. Without strength, dignity will only be trampled upon.”

These words spoke directly to the bottom of Konan’s heart. Isn’t that exactly what the Akatsuki Organization has been from the beginning until now? What they said, no one believed; they were used and discarded at will. Now, even though the girl was so young, Konan accepted her.

”Little sister, it’s so great that you can understand it this way!”

Konan was moved by Kano’s words, but in reality, that was indeed what Kano thought.
