Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 187: Chapter 187: It’s Nice Not Having All That Fighting

Early in the morning, Kakashi asked Mei Terumī for a date in the village.

Although Kakashi was always late in his daily life, he actually helped many people on his way, so he was very popular in Konoha Village.

”Kakashi, is this your fiancée? This girl looks so pretty. Here, young lady, take this; it’s fruit picked just this morning, very fresh.”

The villager shared a tomato with you.

”Yo, Kakashi, finally willing to bring your fiancée around? Don’t let Kakashi’s gloomy appearance fool you; he’s actually warm-hearted. Here, have some dango; it’s delicious.”

The villager shared a skewer of dango with you.

”Kakashi-sensei, how can you go on a date with your girlfriend without flowers?”

The villager shared a bouquet of roses with you.

”Kakashi’s fiancée, this is for you.”

The villager shared a cookbook with you.

”Take this.”

The villager shared a delicious snack with you.

The villager shared an interesting piece of intelligence with you.

The villager shared a piece of nuclear fusion technology with you.

Mei Terumī:???

”The villagers of Konoha Village are truly enthusiastic.”

After thanking the enthusiastic villager, who looked a bit pale, Mei Terumī couldn’t help but sigh.

”The customs in Konoha Village are so simple and honest...”

The two of them were just deciding where to go for their date.

Kano, however, had already begun her daily performance.

”Kano-chan, do we really not need to do anything?”

Ino, who was helping Kano prepare for the performance, couldn’t help but ask. Last time Shikamaru and Temari went on a date, they had done quite a lot, even if it was just secretly following them.

”Blind dates and regular dates are different. Let’s leave everything to the young people to resolve themselves.”

”Why do you sound so old-fashioned? If Kakashi-sensei counts as a young person, then what are we?”

”Children. We aren’t at the age for marriage yet, so of course we count as children.”

She made a very good point.

Kakashi’s attitude was somewhat ambiguous, but Mei Terumī’s attitude was quite clear. Unlike Shikamaru and Temari, whose attitudes were both unclear.

Kano and her friends had already prepared a good environment for them, so there was no need to treat them like children. Kano just sang in Konoha Village as usual, and after singing, she planned to go find Karin and Sakura. If they weren’t out on missions, she would teach them musical genjutsu.

Ino noticed that although Kano said she didn’t care, every time she sang in the village, it happened to be near where Kakashi and the others were dating.

Providing BGM for their date.

”Hey, Kano, are you missing Naruto? You seem a bit distracted when you’re singing.”

Ino teased from the side, but Kano shook her head.

”I’m thinking about something. Why is everyone else always fighting and killing, while I haven’t really had to fight much?”

Kano felt that she hadn’t grown stronger recently. Or rather, she hadn’t grown stronger since finding Tsunade. She recalled the original work and other fan fiction, where everything was basically fighting and killing. In fan fiction, protagonists at this age were already stirring up the entire Ninja World, killing their way through countries domestic and abroad.

Joining forces with Orochimaru to create a bunch of Edo Tensei, killing anyone who disagreed, or randomly getting a Rinnegan to start custom resurrections and the like.

But on her side, everyone was getting along peacefully, and no one short-sighted was jumping out to cause trouble. She had been coveting ōnoki’s Ninjutsu for a long time, thinking about having a chance to kill the little old man.

However, ōnoki was behaving himself. The plot where he should have come to probe the borders of Konoha Village hadn’t occurred, which Kano had been keeping an eye out for.
