Chapter 696: Chapter 6: The Painted Command Seal

Su Xiao wasn’t sure if the upcoming transformation would succeed. If it were an ordinary person, they would undoubtedly die after being injected with these substances.

But Matou Yanye was originally the Master of Berserker, and had command seals to control Berserker, maintaining a close relationship with the deceased Berserker.

Previously, Su Xiao collected some blood from Lancelot’s corpse. Although Lancelot was deceased at the time, the Mad Enhancement was still attached to him.

Using storage space, the blood of the berserk Lancelot was preserved. In the Naruto World, Su Xiao obtained the blood of the Tailed Beast using this method.

Su Xiao originally intended to inject this substance into the bodies of other Heroic Spirits to see if a Berserk reaction would occur, but now he used it on Matou Yanye.

Su Xiao first injected Lancelot’s blood into Matou Yanye. The Blood of Madness was black, like ink.

As soon as the Blood of Madness was injected into Matou Yanye, the veins all over Matou Yanye’s body swelled, and the command seals on his hand glowed blood red.

After waiting for a moment, Su Xiao injected a high concentration of RC cells into Matou Yanye’s body.

”Ah!!”

Matou Yanye writhed in pain on the ground, but his internal injuries were rapidly recovering.

Stomping on the rolling Matou Yanye, Su Xiao picked up diluted Hashirama Cells and injected them into the body. These were Hashirama Cells he modified several times; simply diluting them would make Matou Yanye transform into a ’plant’ (woodification) instantly upon injection.

Kaka kakaka...

Saplings grew crazily on Matou Yanye’s body as Blue Steel Shadow energy gathered at Su Xiao’s fingertip. He placed his finger on Matou Yanye.

Blue Steel Shadow energy flowed into Matou Yanye’s body, starting to destroy both RC cells and Hashirama Cells.

Su Xiao wasn’t aiming for a perfect fusion of these two types of cells; given current conditions and his scientific expertise, that would be pure fantasy.

Su Xiao merely aimed to enhance Matou Yanye with these two energies in an extremely brutal manner, without considering the consequences, which is why he annihilated these energies.

As for the Blood of Madness, it served to ensure Matou Yanye’s survival.

After convulsing on the ground for several minutes, Matou Yanye kicked out his leg and went still.

Sakura Matou witnessed this scene and seemed to recall Matou Zouken’s modifications to herself. She instinctively shrank back.

”Hmm?”

Su Xiao noticed Sakura’s reaction and was quite surprised. There were actually emotions like fear present, which caught him off guard.

However, upon seeing Sakura Matou’s small hand tightly clenching Bubu Wang’s fur, Su Xiao thought of how Bubu Wang’s Charm Attributes must be at play.

For Sakura Matou, who had already lost hope, the sudden appearance of Bubu Wang, with a charm score as high as 53 points, was almost equivalent to mind soothing + spiritual harbor + reliance.

The power of Charm Attributes is fully embodied here; as one of the six main attributes, how could Charm Attributes merely increase others’ goodwill?

Or rather, Charm Attributes are the attribute with the most functional capabilities, including gaining others’ goodwill, mind soothing, disguise, and even control.

There is a saying in Reincarnation Paradise: a powerful control class is never an Intelligence specialty, but a Charm specialty.

Charm-related strong control abilities are hard to counter, though they are extremely rare. At least, Su Xiao hasn’t encountered one yet.

From Sakura Matou’s current mental state, the power of Charm Attributes is evident.

At this moment, Bubu Wang was somewhat resigned as Sakura Matou’s small hands clung to it tightly. Wherever Bubu Wang went, Sakura Matou followed closely, never missing a step.

It’s a good thing because if Matou Yanye’s transformation failed, Su Xiao would have to rely on Sakura Matou to continue staying in the Holy Grail World.

”Kill, kill them all!”

Dark red smoke exuded from Matou Yanye’s body as he slowly stood up. At this point, Matou Yanye’s eyes were scarlet, and his muscles had become somewhat woodified, crisscrossed with dark red plexuses.

”Did it succeed?”

”Roar!”

Matou Yanye roared angrily at Su Xiao.

”It seems it failed.”

Su Xiao stood up, and Dragon Slash appeared in his hand, encased in Blue Steel Shadow energy.

Seeing the Blue Steel Shadow energy like lightning, the drastically changed Matou Yanye instinctively retreated two steps, his glowing red eyes fixated on Dragon Slash.

”Is this... fear of Blue Steel Shadow energy?”

In a certain sense, the transformation succeeded, but Matou Yanye had already lost his sanity. It would be a fool’s dream to expect to become stronger through various cells and still retain sanity.

The current Matou Yanye is neither too strong nor too weak. If he were to engage in a fight with Su Xiao, he might hold out for a few minutes, but hoping to defeat other Heroic Spirits is delusional, given that Hashirama Cells + RC cells = extremely resistant to beatings.

Strength increased, but sanity was lost.

”What is this number?”

Su Xiao extended three fingers towards Matou Kariya.

”Roar!”

Clearly, three fingers don’t mean ’roar’, so Su Xiao charged forward and kicked towards Matou Kariya’s face.

With a bang, Matou Kariya was kicked by Su Xiao from the living room into the kitchen, creating a big hole in a wall.

Unable to control, unable to communicate. In Matou Kariya’s current state, it’s not suitable to bring him along, because ’this thing’ might take a bite at Su Xiao’s nape when he isn’t looking.

If you overlook these flaws, Matou Kariya’s current appearance is somewhat similar to the Berserk state of Lancelot.

His eyes have turned blood red due to the erosion of RC cells, and black smoke is wafting out of Matou Kariya’s body, which is due to the Blood of Madness.

Kicked into the air by Su Xiao, Matou Kariya was unharmed, though some parts of his body have turned tree-like, making his movements stiff, but his defensive power increased significantly.

Matou Kariya stood up, those blood-red eyes watching Su Xiao. As his gaze shifted to Sakura Matou, his body suddenly halted.

Seeing Matou Kariya’s reaction, Su Xiao’s eyes narrowed slightly.

”Tokiomi Tohsaka.”

”Roar!!”

Hearing this name, Matou Kariya let out an angry roar, the black smoke around him becoming denser.

”It’s all... Tokiomi’s... fault.”

Matou Kariya actually spoke, his voice dry and hoarse.

Seeing Matou Kariya hasn’t completely lost his mind, his brain has been eroded by a combination of the Blood of Madness + RC cells + Hashirama cells (diluted), resulting in his current appearance.

”You, come here.”

Su Xiao looked towards Sakura Matou, she hugged Bubu Wang tightly, shaking her head.

This surprised Su Xiao even more, as Sakura Matou already seemed to have feelings of refusal, indicating her Charm attributes are stronger than he imagined.

”...”

Su Xiao looked at Sakura Matou, she hesitated for a moment, then stood up, pulling the rag closer around her. After all, it was given to her by Bubu Wang.

”Order him to take a few steps forward.”

Su Xiao pointed at Matou Kariya, who had been staring at Sakura Matou since she stood up.

”Take a few steps... forward?”

Once beside Su Xiao, Sakura Matou’s mental state began to change again. She could restore her mental state beside Bubu Wang, but near Su Xiao with his fierce aura, she showed signs of reverting to her previous mental state. If this continued, the little girl would be overwhelmed sooner or later.

Crunch...

Matou Kariya took a step forward, but it wasn’t just a few steps, he walked right up to Sakura Matou.

”Sakura...”

Matou Kariya raised a hand emitting black smoke, seemingly wanting to touch Sakura Matou.

Still unable to fully control, but Su Xiao noticed one thing: Matou Kariya would not harm Sakura Matou and would somewhat listen to her.

Su Xiao immediately understood the situation, Matou Kariya actually had two obsessions, not just a simple rescue. The second obsession is destruction, specifically the destruction of Tokiomi Tohsaka.

There are two things that can cause Matou Kariya to show emotional fluctuations: protecting Sakura Matou and killing Tokiomi Tohsaka.

However, Matou Kariya is not stable at present, his body is collapsing at a slow pace, and it won’t take long for him to die. This process might last a few days or it could be a month.

Even so, Su Xiao was quite satisfied, as intervening with Matou Kariya beforehand meant that after the death of Matou Zouken, the imprinted worms would lose control. Whether or not Blue Steel Shadow was used to kill the imprinted worms inside him, Matou Kariya would still die. From the moment he accepted the imprinted worms, his death was already determined. Although it didn’t achieve the expected results, the current situation was also not bad.

In a sense, Su Xiao helped Matou Kariya, giving him the possibility of completing his revenge. Death is not fearsome, but dying meaninglessly like in the original story is what’s truly terrifying.

The already berserk Matou Kariya stood there in a daze while Tohsaka Sakura ran back to Bubu Wang with tiny steps.

After instructing Bubu Wang briefly, Su Xiao quickly left the house.

Five minutes later, Su Xiao returned inside, carrying a suit of armor and a bucket of black paint. Carefully maintaining his vigilance, Su Xiao painted the armor black with the paint and dressed Matou Kariya in the full body armor.

As long as the armor isn’t broken, any magician seeing Matou Kariya emanating black smoke would immediately think of a Berserker enhanced with Madness.

After finishing all this, Su Xiao looked at the back of his right hand, where he drew a command seal.

Now Matou Kariya was disguised as Berserker, and Su Xiao was posing as Berserker’s Master.

In most cases, it’s Heroic Spirit versus Heroic Spirit, Master versus Master. But if another Master confronts Su Xiao, he will certainly make them doubt their life choices.

The Master enhanced with Madness and wearing armor, while the Heroic Spirit has a command seal drawn on his hand. Undoubtedly, Su Xiao’s team is the most peculiar of all combinations.
