Chapter 671: Chapter 65: Meeting Again

As soon as Su Xiao finished speaking, with a crack, a bullet penetrated through Chrollo’s shoulder behind him, and continued through Su Xiao’s chest.

Even so, the bullet still had strong kinetic energy, passing through Su Xiao’s body and directly penetrating Ilmi’s abdomen, finally embedding itself into the road, leaving a bottomless hole.

This bullet came without warning and was so fast that Su Xiao didn’t even have time to activate his shield.

Suppressing the immense pain in his body, Su Xiao kicked at Ilmi.

With a bang, Ilmi was kicked back, forced to release his grip on the Dragon Slash, stepping back quickly.

Chrollo behind Su Xiao spat out a large mouthful of blood; he was the primary target of the shot, bearing most of the bullet’s kinetic energy, causing half his body to go numb.

The Dragon Slash reversed in Su Xiao’s hand, changing from a forehand grip to a backhand grip, as he unhesitatingly drove the blade into his own chest, doing his best to avoid vital organs.

With the sharpness of the Dragon Slash, it pierced through Su Xiao’s chest, aiming for Chrollo’s throat.

Sensing the approaching blade, Chrollo released his hold on the dagger and immediately attempted to use instant move.

With a hum, an invisible impact spread from the sleeve of Su Xiao’s windbreaker, as a light gold brand began to glow at the cuff.

Branding Effect (Light Gold): Basic Spatial Imprisonment: Can seal spatial fluctuations within fifty meters, rendering fifth-tier and below space-type skills ineffective in this area. Effect lasts 30 minutes, with a cooldown of 2 natural days.

Chrollo’s instant move ability was nullified, having lost the optimal time to dodge due to attempting it.

With a slash, the Dragon Slash stabbed through Chrollo’s chin and burst through the top of his head, staining the blade’s tip red.

[You have killed Chrollo Lucilfer]

[Chrollo Lucilfer was the leader of the Phantom Troupe, gained 14.9% of the World Source, now having a total of 54.6%.]

[The Phantom Troupe reputation has decreased by 4000, current Troupe reputation: -4900 (Permanent Blood Feud).]

...

Chrollo’s body leaned forward, holding upright due to being impaled by the Dragon Slash.

Su Xiao pulled out the Dragon Slash, the intense pain nearly causing him to faint, and Chrollo collapsed with a thud, a gold-glowing treasure chest rolling to Su Xiao’s feet.

”Cough, cough, cough...”

Su Xiao coughed up several mouthfuls of blood; if anything had gone slightly awry earlier, he would have died instantly, trapped by Ilmi and stabbed by Chrollo’s dagger without a chance of survival.

”A hundred thousand Paradise coins per shot as agreed, did not disappoint you, did I? But your combat style is really ruthless, almost reckless.”

Vini’s voice came through the earpiece as Su Xiao swung his blade at large hounds biting onto him, bending to pick up the treasure chest at his feet.

[You have obtained a Treasure chest (gold)!]

Su Xiao was shocked; it was his first time acquiring a gold-quality treasure chest, supposedly a quality above light gold.

”Temporarily no money; once back to Reincarnation Paradise, not a single coin less.”

Wiping the blood from his mouth, this was the deal he negotiated with Vini in the auction house, not specifically to snipe the Troupe leader, but to provide fire support.

Initially, Su Xiao intended Vini to provide fire support, but she revealed partial attributes of a light gold sniper rifle, pricing at a hundred thousand Paradise coins per shot, assuring critical moment aid.

Su Xiao neither agreed nor refused at the time, later contacting Vini when Ilmi appeared, discreetly inquiring about potential support, making the deal at a hundred thousand Paradise coins per shot.

”If you’re short on Paradise coins, the Troupe leader’s treasure chest ain’t bad either, heh.”

From afar, Vini giggled as she chewed gum from atop the Clock Tower.

”Just kidding, ten thousand Paradise coins after returning to Reincarnation Paradise.”

”Rest assured.”

Concluding the deal with Vini, Su Xiao glanced at Ilmi not far away.

”Still ten thousand Paradise coins; I want to buy your second shot.”

”Hey, what are you saying? It’s like you bought my virginity before; I’m underage, you pervert. Not possible now, at least a few minutes later.”

Receiving Vini’s response, Su Xiao remained expressionless; although costly at ten thousand Paradise coins per shot, Ilmi’s situation seemed peculiar.

Ilmi stood at some distance, legs tightly pressed, his shoulders twitching uncontrollably.

”Your employer is dead.”

Su Xiao stared at Ilmi; if Ilmi wished to continue fighting, Su Xiao was unafraid, willing to die, having prepared for death when facing both Chrollo and Ilmi, killing one already counted enough.

”Is that so.”

Ilmi gritted his teeth with audible clicks, his head full of hair fluttering, hands naturally dropping, his telekinesis ability ominous, seemingly about to ’darken’ at any moment.

”Hold on for three minutes, and I’ll take the second shot for ten thousand Paradise coins.”

Vini left this message and ceased speaking.

”Ilmi.”

An aged voice followed, as an elder calmly approached from a street, unhurried.

”Employer dead, commission over, no killing outside targets, have you forgotten?”

The newcomer was Zeno Zoldyck, with Silva Zoldyck trailing behind; with the Ten Old Man dead, their commission was over, but as night deepened, they had not yet left Yukexin City.

”Grandfather?”

Ilmi’s fluttering hair settled, his expression returning to normal.

”Follow us; since the employer was killed right before you, stop disgracing yourself here.”

Grandpa Zeno reprimanded Ilmi bluntly; while their elder generation adhered to family rules, Ilmi and Killua’s generation regarded them less profoundly.

”We meet again; it seems we share destiny.”

Grandpa Zeno smiled at Su Xiao.

”Your family indeed numerous, accepting three assignments simultaneously.”

Su Xiao spoke between coughing blood, taking out a bottle of No.1 Potion and drinking it; the injury was suppressed but dealing with the poisonous dagger from Chrollo was difficult, even as his Blue Steel Shadow ability tried its utmost to annihilate the toxins, his body remained numbed by a rare venom, the stab location almost hugging the heart.

”Haha, it merely indicates our family’s flourishing.”

Grandpa Zeno examined Su Xiao with interest, having witnessed the fight; impressed by Su Xiao’s ferocity, making a comeback from such dire straits, not merely luck but capability.

”Let’s go.”

Zeno glanced at Ilmi, sighing, bewildered by the young ones’ ways of thinking.

Ilmi clutched the gun wound on his abdomen, following behind his grandfather Zeno.

”Hope I get another commission to kill you, see you.”

Ilmi’s steps seemed off, his legs quivering somewhat, clearly indicating that Su Xiao’s groin knee kick had indeed critically hit him.

Zoldyck family’s grandfather and grandson trio departed, as Su Xiao limped towards a nearby hotel; just reaching the entrance, his step faltered, nearly collapsing.

Taking out his phone, Su Xiao hesitated, opting not to dial; summoning Black Mary now would be wise, but alas, surrounding blocks swarmed with Nilapan Tribe, beyond Black Mary’s capability to reach from the auction house.

Sounds of fighting echoed from the hotel’s ground floor, loud shouts from the National Foot trio audible from afar, likely skirmishing with Troupe members.

There’s no sign of movement upstairs; pausing, Su Xiao downed two bottles of No.1 Potion.

Overconsumption brought notable side effects, mitigating injuries but leaving residual Hashirama Cells within.

With no other options, the Blue Steel Shadow energy suppressing, despite residual Hashirama Cells, Su Xiao wouldn’t transform into a tree, as returning to Reincarnation Paradise would purge them.

Drinking two bottles of No.1 Potion brought rapid hemostasis to the chest gunshot wound, the fist-sized wound gradually healing.

This was only temporary suppression; once the injury flared again, another No.1 Potion wouldn’t suffice.

Regaining combat capability, Su Xiao dashed towards the rooftop.

Soon, Su Xiao arrived at the hotel’s upper level, pushing open the iron doors to the rooftop, a faint smell of blood wafting over.

”You’re here?”

At the rooftop edge, the Clown spoke, sitting in a wheelchair, his back facing Su Xiao.

The wheelchair turned on its own; at this moment, the Clown looked miserable, at least a dozen daggers wedged in his body, the purple suit soaked in blood.

The Clown held a severed head, that of the Fans Girl, a look of astonishment frozen on her face, seemingly witnessing something incredible before death. Curiously, her expression bore no fear, almost as if she hadn’t anticipated her demise.
