Chapter 652: Chapter 46: The Final Battle Approaches

”Yes, they’re all dead. Wokim, Nobunaga, Hero were all killed by this person.”

Machi took out a document, which was Su Xiao’s file, but it only had Su Xiao’s photo and recent experiences.

”Feitan was also killed by him. It was him who discovered our whereabouts at the auction, and after fighting Feitan, Feitan died.”

Franklin clenched his fists tightly; he only found Feitan’s headless body.

”What about Shizuku? How did she die?”

”Not sure, we were suddenly dragged away by a chain while escaping, whether alive or dead is still unknown.”

Machi spoke.

”Unknown?”

Feitan sat up with a whoosh, he wasn’t angry at Machi, there was just too much anger in his heart with no outlet. Since the establishment of the Travel Group, there hadn’t been such a significant loss.

”Feitan, calm down.”

Pakunoda, with her voluptuous figure, spoke up, her open neckline revealing a large area of white skin.

Though Pakunoda wasn’t the strongest in the Travel Group, her ability was irreplaceable and more important than the combat members of the Group.

”I’m very calm. When will the Leader be back?”

”Very soon.”

”The Leader is already back.”

Hisoka, leaning against the wall with arms crossed, spoke up. As soon as he finished, the Travel Group Leader, Chrollo Lucilfer, walked into the church.

Chrollo, though a Leader of a thief gang, didn’t look like a rugged man as one might imagine but rather a handsome young man.

”Leader.”

”Leader, this matter...”

The Travel Group members gathered around, showing Chrollo’s core status in the Group.

”I’m already clear about the situation.”

Chrollo found a giant stone to sit on, and the other members of the Travel Group listened quietly.

”There’s no need to care about those auction items anymore. From now on, our target is to kill this person. But before that, take a look at this; it’s the prophecy ability I just stole, and the prophecy poem derived from it.”

Chrollo took out a sheet of paper with a few lines of prophecy written on it.

The threat of the Blood Moon is no longer deadly.

The Fiery Sun has passed away.

A companion holding a broken blade fell on the red rock.

During Frost Moon (November, represents Wokim) never answer the phone (phone represents Hero).

The chains person takes away your important month.

Lying in front of the ruthless Hunter dying.

The envoy of purgatory arrives.

Darkness will shroud here.

The laughing Clown stands in the darkness confronting the Hunter.

Even with the help of the Clown, how will you go on with severed limbs?

...

The prophecy poem ends here. After reading the prophecy poem, several members of the Travel Group were somewhat confused. They could understand the first few lines, but the latter lines left them baffled.

If anyone in the Travel Group represents the Clown, it would be Hisoka. All eyes turned to Hisoka; the implication of the prophecy poem seemed to be that Hisoka would become the savior of the Group?

Hisoka was a bit bewildered; his goal was to duel with the Group Leader. It was for this purpose that he joined the Travel Group.

”From the prophecy poem’s implication, the Hunter certainly represents Bai Ye of the Ten Old Men’s Power, and as for severed limbs, it probably refers to the deaths and injuries of the Group members.”

”Leader, why not predict for all of us?”

Machi’s suggestion was unanimously approved, but it required detailed personal information for the prophecy, and a few in the Travel Group had already forgotten details like birthdays.

Chrollo took out a diary, which was his ability, Specialization Nature: Thief’s Secret Book, which could steal others’ telekinesis ability once certain conditions are met, rendering the person who was stolen from unable to use telekinesis ability anymore. For telekinesis users seeking power, having their ability stolen was worse than death.

A few minutes later, Chrollo made predictions for those who could provide personal information in the Travel Group.

”Not very optimistic; I will have a choice to make soon, and choosing wrong will lead to death.”

Feitan grinned; he could accept any outcome, including death, with calm.

”Mine isn’t any better; I’m destined to die and will be killed by that Hunter.”

Kortopi, whose face was hidden by hair, sighed with bitterness.

Most Travel Group members stated the results of their prophecy poems. Only one person present didn’t speak, which was Hisoka holding the prophecy poem. He couldn’t help but mischievously make a prophecy, and the result wasn’t good.

”What’s wrong?”

Feitan squinted; he had long distrusted Hisoka, and his intuition told him this person was unreliable.

”It’s nothing.”

Hisoka’s expression remained the same, but his eyes glanced around intentionally or unintentionally.

”Hand it over.”

Feitan gestured for Hisoka to hand over the prophecy poem.

”It’s going to scare you. Even I got startled.”

Hisoka handed the prophecy poem to Feitan. After reading it, Feitan’s face changed dramatically.

”Leader, take a look at this...”

Feitan handed the prophecy poem to the Travel Group Leader, scrutinizing Hisoka as if it was the first day he knew him.

Hisoka’s prophecy poem roughly meant that he was the Clown, and he had two choices: to save the Travel Group or to save himself. The final verse was about him saving the Group and sacrificing himself.

Is that really the truth? Would Hisoka truly be so loyal? For this treacherous Transmuter, of course, it was impossible. This prophecy poem had already been altered by Hisoka using the telekinesis ability ’thin illusion.’

Thin Illusion: Can change Qi into various textured skins. By adding imagination to one’s Qi, one can replicate any texture, but can only mimic a thing as thin as paper.

Hisoka covered the paper of the prophecy poem with a thin illusion; what everyone saw was a fabricated prophecy poem by Hisoka on the spot.

The real prophecy poem was about Hisoka colluding with Kurapika, later discovered by the Travel Group, pursued, and ultimately expelled from the Travel Group.

”Everyone, have you considered if this savior is a fake?”

A female voice suddenly came from the depths of the church, where a blue-haired girl was sitting in the shadows. The girl was tossing her braid.

”You’re here.”

It seemed the Leader Chrollo was already acquainted with the visitor.

”I’ve been here for a while and have already set things up. We can make our move now.”

Upon hearing the blue-haired girl’s words, the Leader Chrollo’s hand holding Hisoka’s prophecy poem surged with telekinesis energy.

Seeing this, Hisoka’s pupils contracted rapidly. He stomped hard on the ground, crashing through the church wall with a bang.

At the same time, the ’thin illusion’ ability on the paper was dispelled, revealing the true content.

In a flash, the berserk telekinesis energy caused the paper to shatter, but the Leader Chrollo saw the contents on the paper clearly.

”Kill Hisoka.”

As soon as Chrollo gave the order, all members of the Travel Group swarmed towards Hisoka.

Bam!

The sound of a sniper rifle shot rang out, and moments later, an intense battle ensued. With the blue-haired girl’s clever intervention, Hisoka, who was previously mingling with the Travel Group, became a street rat.

...

Yukexin City, gourmet street.

In front of a food stall, a person and a dog were enjoying the unique snacks of the Hunter World. A remarkably beautiful girl stood by.

”Rose, any news from the Ten Old Man?”

”They’ve already contacted me several times, wanting to ’invite’ you over.”

”Invite, huh? Don’t bother with those cowardly people. What about the auction?”

”It reopens at 9 p.m. tonight.”

”I see.”

Su Xiao chewed his food. If he guessed correctly, he might battle the Travel Group tonight. As long as the group was wiped out, the auction could smoothly continue until September 10, meaning that tonight would be the decisive battle.

”Chrollo Lucilfer... a formidable enemy.”

Su Xiao reached for a secret recipe pastry beside him, but Bubu Wang also wanted that pastry, taking a bite in his hand.

”Let go. It’s a salty pastry; you’ll lose hair if you eat it.”

Bubu Wang was unmoved, looking as if he was determined to eat it.

”You silly dog, don’t bite my hand, or I’ll let you taste the carcass of a Yin Beast.”

Bubu Wang let go, giving a delve look as if saying: ”Master, you’re too unkind. How can you threaten to take my eye out when we’re just playing? ”
