Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 695: Chapter 5: No, I Want Toshiomi Dead

Turning on the light inside the house, Su Xiao sat on the living room sofa, nearby were Bubu Wang and the dying Matou Kariya, as for Sakura Matou, she was sitting next to Bubu Wang.

Su Xiao attempted to check his own Heroic Spirit attributes, and lines of text appeared.

...

Upon seeing that the Core of Devour was rated as EX-level, Su Xiao squinted his eyes and thought of a possibility.

Heroic Spirits are composed of energy. If the energy of a Heroic Spirit can be absorbed, then the value of defeating a Heroic Spirit will increase significantly, but there is considerable risk in this, as it involves competing with the Holy Grail for energy.

Although the Core of Devour absorbs energy instead of souls, whether it would incur backlash from the Great Holy Grail is still unknown.

Just as Su Xiao was pondering, a prompt from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

[Entering World: Fate/Zero.]

World Difficulty: Lv.20

World Source: 5.2%

World Introduction: According to legend, the Holy Grail is a treasure that can fulfill the wishes of its possessor. To seek the power of the Holy Grail, seven magicians each summon a Heroic Spirit to compete for the Holy Grail, which is known as the Holy Grail War.

Magicians: Much of magicians’ daily life is consumed by ’research’. Using magic outside of research is rare, such as using magic as a replacement for labor.

Those who use magic as a tool rather than for research (such as magicians who use magic for assassination) are called Magician users and are looked down upon by magicians.

Even among magicians, few use magic in daily life—this conceals the ’mystery’. Failing to follow this rule will lead the Magician Association to use extreme measures to keep magic hidden from the world, such as purging magicians who use magic publicly.

The strength of magic correlates with the number of magic circuits in one’s body, which is innately fixed and seldom increased by external means. Therefore, magicians accumulate generations of bloodlines to give their descendants bodies fit for magic, inherently possessing more magic circuits.

Heroic Spirits: Only those whose great accomplishments become myths after death can become Heroic Spirits. Typically, Heroic Spirits are summoned by the world as a force to protect humanity. The Heroic Spirits summoned by humans are called Servants.

Main Quest: Heaven’s Cup.

Hunting Quest: None (This world has no violators).

Warning: Do not mention anything related to ’Paradise’ in this world; failure to heed this warning will result in forced execution!

Note: Detecting that the Hunter does not master this world’s language, automatically mastering this world’s language by consuming 100 Paradise coins.

...

Just after Su Xiao finished reading the world introduction, another prompt from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

[Detected that the Hunter has fulfilled the prerequisites for the Talent Awakening Task, activating the Talent Awakening Task...]

[Upon activating the Talent Awakening Task, you will be given three chances; if you fail consecutively three times (the Talent Awakening Task is issued once per Derivative World), the Talent will be permanently unavailable for awakening.]

[The Talent Awakening Task level is higher than the current Hunter level by LV.10.]

[The Talent Awakening Task is extremely dangerous, and more than 50% of Contractors will fail to complete it.]

[Warning: The Hunter is forbidden from disclosing any matters related to the Talent Awakening Task to outsiders. Violation will result in forced execution!]

[The Talent Awakening Task has been activated; the Hunter can view it freely.]

...

The prompts related to the Derivative World were white, while those related to the Talent Awakening Task were blood-red.

Su Xiao was previously puzzled about why he had never heard any rumors about such an important matter as Talent Awakening. Now it seemed to be normal.

The fact that any disclosure of related matters would result in forced execution shows how significant Talent Awakening is.

Su Xiao opened the task list, and the first thing that caught his eye was the main quest.

[Main Quest: Heaven’s Cup]

Difficulty Level: Lv.18

Task Introduction: Reach the Great Holy Grail by any means.

Task Information: The Great Holy Grail will appear at the final stage of the Holy Grail War.

Task Deadline: 15 natural days

Task Reward: 5000 Paradise coins + 6 attribute points.

Task Penalty: Forced execution.

...

[Talent Awakening Task: Reach Liu Dong Temple]

Difficulty Level: Lv.3

Task Introduction: This is the first phase of the Talent Awakening Task, consisting of three phases, with difficulty continuously escalating. The final phase’s task difficulty cap is LV.26.

Task Information: To ordinary people, Liu Dong Temple is merely a local landmark, but to magicians, this temple is an extremely excellent Spiritual Land.

Task Deadline: 4 natural days

Task Reward: None

Task Penalty: Loss of one Talent Awakening opportunity; the Talent Awakening Task cannot be accepted again in this world.

...

Su Xiao sat on the sofa, staring ahead, seemingly in contemplation.

Given the current situation, there’s no need to worry about the main quest in the short term; focusing on the Talent Awakening Task is the way to go.

For Su Xiao, even if the main quest fails this time, it doesn’t matter; he has a Main Quest Failure Exemption.

The good news is that there are no violators in this Derivative World. The main quest plus the Talent Awakening Task is already enough to give Su Xiao a headache; adding a hunting quest would make him extremely busy.

Suppose Su Xiao encounters a Violator like the Clown in this Derivative World; completing the Talent Awakening Task would be a pipe dream.

”Cough, cough, cough...”

As Su Xiao contemplated, a series of violent coughs echoed—it was Matou Kariya coughing up large amounts of blood.

At this moment, Matou Kariya was already very weak, and unfortunately, Su Xiao had no potion that could be used on others. The No.1 Potion could be used by no one but himself.

However, even if Matou Kariya were to die, Su Xiao had other substitutes, such as Sakura Matou.

”Today is your ’Lucky Day’.”

Su Xiao crouched in front of Matou Kariya, whose pupils began to dim. His will to survive was weak; after all, Matou Zouken was dead, and Sakura Matou was free again.

”Sakura’s fine... cough.”

While speaking, Matou Kariya coughed up another mouthful of blood. Sitting beside Bubu Wang, Sakura Matou calmly watched him, showing no emotional fluctuations.

”Does it not matter that your childhood friend was taken from you?”

Su Xiao’s words directly provoked Matou Kariya’s anger,

”That was Kui’s own choice, I...”

Su Xiao chuckled and turned his head to Sakura Matou.

”She was tortured by that old worm for a year; this was Tokiomi Tohsaka’s choice. Perhaps one day, for the sake of magic, Kui you speak of may face the same situation; her own flesh and blood doesn’t matter, let alone a wife.”

After Su Xiao said this, the dying Matou Kariya began to tremble, his mind automatically filling with an image of Kui screaming and struggling in a worm pit, thrown in naked.

”No! It’s all Toshiomi’s fault! If not for him, Sakura wouldn’t suffer such things.”

Matou Kariya almost screamed in a roar of fury.

”So, do you want revenge against him?”

”Of course... I want to, kill him, I must kill him, for Sakura, for Kui, for Rin.”

Under Su Xiao’s persuasion, Matou Kariya, his mouth full of blood, gritted his teeth, causing Sakura Matou witnessing this scene to tense her body.

”You’re quite lucky today. If you manage to stay alive, you might have a chance to seek revenge against Tokiomi Tohsaka.”

Su Xiao didn’t want to keep the physically weak Matou Kariya as he was a burden; he might as well modify him a bit. If he died, it could only be said that he was doomed to die, but if not, he might pose as a Heroic Spirit Berserker, while Su Xiao himself posed as the Berserker’s Master.

”Then, let’s begin.”

Su Xiao took out several test tubes, containing: diluted Hashirama Cells, Lancelot’s (Berserk state blood), and highly concentrated RC cells (Ghoul cells).
