Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 674: Chapter 68: Return

On the first floor of the hotel, the National Team Brothers leaned together, the entire first floor looked as if a tornado had blown through.

The National Foot Boss held a dark purple treasure chest in his hand. The National Team Brothers weren’t opposed to killing; when their lives were threatened, they would also strike at the enemy, lacking any naive sense of justice.

As long as the National Team Brothers believed something wasn’t wrong, they would go all out to do it. They just didn’t kill the innocent indiscriminately.

The chest in the Boss’s hand was Feitan’s treasure chest. The blond Feitan died in a very awkward manner, beaten to death by these three jokesters, and the dizzying effect of their hammering was not for show.

”Indeed, the hammer is justice, cough, cough...”

The Boss coughed up a few mouthfuls of blood, his chest severely sunken. The Second Brother used what little Mana Value he had to heal him a bit.

”Heal the Third Brother first; he’s more seriously injured.”

At this time, the Third Brother had lost an arm and a leg, covered with ligature marks, injured by Machi.

”Big Brother... I saw an angel.”

The Third Brother’s pupils were somewhat dilated, which frightened the Boss and the Second Brother.

The Second Brother gave the Third Brother a series of slaps, back and forth. After a few slaps, the Third Brother’s eyes became slightly clearer.

”You’re seeing things, not an angel. You’ve lost too much blood and are hallucinating. Second Brother, stop hitting, Third Brother’s rolling his eyes.”

”Oh? Oh.”

The Boss and the Second Brother began healing the Third Brother. A few minutes later, the Third Brother’s vital signs stabilized somewhat, and the nearly unconscious Third Brother slowly woke up.

”Second Brother, just now, I saw an angel, but that angel sister slapped me a few times. It hurt—am I too ugly?”

The honest Third Brother’s eyes welled with tears, still reminiscing about that ’angel.’

”That angel was indeed beautiful but had rough hands. Second Brother, is my face swollen?”

The Third Brother gently touched his face, which had swollen like a pig’s head, with a faint sadness in his expression.

Hearing the Third Brother’s words, the Second Brother silently glanced at his own calloused hands.

”Maybe... the angel was in a bad mood, Third Brother. Don’t think about it. Surviving a great disaster brings future fortune.”

The Boss looked away; he dared not look at the Third Brother. The Third Brother looked somewhat amusing, and he wanted to laugh because they had survived.

Just then, footsteps could be heard; Su Xiao, holding Dragon Slash, descended the stairs.

”Clown...”

The National Team Brothers stared at Su Xiao. Although they already had the answer in their hearts, they couldn’t help but ask.

”Dead.”

Receiving a clear reply, the National Team Brothers breathed a sigh of relief, but they didn’t lower their guard. With the Clown dead, the group’s common goal vanished, raising the possibility of internal strife. After all, the saying goes, ”Guard against those with ulterior motives.”

”Although the Clown is dead, the offensive from the Nilapan Tribe will probably not cease. In the end, the Clown only led this whole affair. We’ve killed many from the Nilapan Tribe; they won’t give up easily. However, the Clown’s threat is gone, like a thorn pulled from the throat.”

The Boss sighed. Though the three brothers were jokesters, they had already analyzed the situation roughly.

”That’s right.”

Su Xiao walked towards the auction house direction, the Second Brother carried the Third Brother, following Su Xiao towards the auction house direction. Currently, the chance of infighting in the group seemed minimal.

The three brothers didn’t ask about the Fan Girl’s whereabouts. Since she hadn’t appeared by then, the chances of her survival were minuscule. Perhaps she had already left after the Clown died? Perhaps, the Boss glanced at the hotel behind him.

At this moment, the Nilapan Tribe might appear on the streets; the four’s current condition clearly couldn’t withstand a confrontation with them.

Su Xiao was very puzzled about one thing: where had the Nilapan Tribe gone during their attack on the hotel?

A few minutes into their progression, Su Xiao realized that there wasn’t a single sign of the Nilapan Tribe on the streets. Just as he approached the auction house, a sneaky figure appeared.

”Who!”

The Second Brother held an energy hammer, vigilant toward the darkness where a pair of eyes watched.

”Still going smoothly?”

Su Xiao looked toward the darkness, looking relaxed.

Bubu Wang emerged from the darkness, blue blood stains all over his body.

”Woof.”

Bubu Wagged his tail; his look was somewhat sad, nodding and then shaking his head, leaving Su Xiao slightly puzzled.

Bubu Wang seemed to have too much to convey. Even Su Xiao had trouble parsing it immediately. After a few minutes, he finally understood Bubu Wang’s meaning.

”So you’re saying a woman rushed into the Nilapan Tribe, and you took the opportunity to leave amidst the chaos?”

”Woof.”

Bubu Wang nodded, his expression clearly showing—that was terrifying. That woman was particularly strong.

”It seems news here has already spread out. It should be the gang members from the auction house.”

Su Xiao vaguely grasped the situation; the Nilapan Tribe’s numbers were too large. Although the population around the auction house was sparse now, they came from the Dark Continent, where the law of the jungle prevailed, hence impossible for them to abide by rules after arriving in Yukexin City.

If the Nilapan Tribe made any outward expansion moves, it wouldn’t be a power struggle but a racial invasion, and the V5 Organization wouldn’t let it slide.

In the original series, the Chimera Ants were even more powerful than the Nilapan Tribe, yet a single Hunter Association managed them. The fate of the Nilapan Tribe was thus easy to foresee.

”So, the Nilapan Tribe no longer poses a threat?”

”Woof.”

Bubu Wagged its tail. This guy only got a fright but wasn’t hurt.

Su Xiao stepped out from the alley, confidently heading toward the auction house, with Bubu Wang quickly following behind.

The National Team Brothers exchanged glances.

”Brother, are we heading back to the auction house?”

”Why go back? He’s not going to allow the mainline mission to fail. As long as the auction house isn’t destroyed, we can find an opportunity to join later. We’re injured now, and those Contractors in the auction house aren’t easy to deal with.”

The three brothers decide not to return to the auction house and observed from nearby for the time being.

”Brother Ruthless.”

The Boss shouted, and Su Xiao turned to look at the three.

”Farewell.” × 3

The three brothers collectively struck their unique pose.

”Mm.”

Su Xiao continued heading toward the auction house. Minutes later, he arrived near it.

A faint smell of blood wafted through the air; the corpses of the Nilapan Tribe on the streets had been cleared. The gang leaders from the Ten Old Men’s Power were negotiating with some people in protective suits.

The gang members’ demeanor was polite, no, you could even say obsequious.

Ignoring these gang members and the people from unknown forces, Su Xiao quietly entered the auction house, taking out his phone and dialing a number.

”Where are you?”

”At... at the auction house, Mister Bai Ye, are you okay?”

”Come to the first floor.”

Not long after, Black Mary rushed to the first floor in high heels. Su Xiao quickly walked towards Black Mary, pulling her arm and heading towards an empty room.

”Wait, wait a minute, um, so many people are watching.”

Black Mary’s face flushed red, her steps hesitant, but there seemed to be a hint of ’playing hard to get.’

Su Xiao pointed to the wound on his chest, Black Mary suddenly understood, and her face turned even redder.

Inside the room, a black rose fluttered beside Su Xiao, its petals falling one by one. By the time only two petals were left, Su Xiao’s wounds had mostly healed. Although he was seriously injured this time, he didn’t suffer any limb loss.

The most troublesome issue inside him was the poison on the Leader’s dagger, which required Blue Steel Shadow energy to slowly annihilate.

Due to unknown forces’ involvement, the Contractors within the auction house had already left. After recovering from his injuries, Su Xiao brought Black Mary and Bubu Wang and immediately left the auction house.

The night had deepened. Su Xiao stood on the rooftop of a distant building from the auction house, observing for a long time before putting down his binoculars.

Luckily, he left in time; otherwise, the follow-up would have been very troublesome.

...

The next morning, the auction house resumed normal operations. This was a pre-arranged condition between Su Xiao and Bick from the Ten Old Men.

In a luxury hotel’s room, Su Xiao looked at a tray of 20 Soul Crystal (Medium) in front of him. This was the reward from Bick. Su Xiao had almost wiped out the Troupe, Bick didn’t dare not to pay, even if he was now a minor leader in the V5 Organization.

Su Xiao had made Bick a leader within the V5 Organization but, of course, intended to control him as well.

With the Clown’s death, the Nilapan Tribe was doomed to a dire fate, or rather, they never had a chance of a favorable outcome.

Now that all the enemies needing to be dealt with were resolved, Su Xiao had free rein for the remaining mission time. Unfortunately, due to mission constraints, Su Xiao couldn’t leave Yukexin City.

While Su Xiao was considering how to profit in Yukexin City, a notification from Reincarnation Paradise suddenly appeared.

[Notice: It has been checked that all members of the Phantom Troupe (2 remaining) have left Yukexin City, and the main task has been deemed complete.]

[Due to forced main task changes, mission rewards have doubled.]

[Notice: The Hunter will return to Reincarnation Paradise in five minutes.]
