Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 676: Chapter 70: Goddess of Cuisine

Throwing a few punches out of nowhere, the sound of wind breaking whooshed through the air.

Su Xiao clenched both fists, a surge of strength erupting within him. He had never felt so strong; this powerful feeling was intoxicating. Now, not to mention knocking a cow flying with his bare hands, he was confident he could punch through a metal wall that wasn’t too thick.

Leaving the Attribute Strengthening Hall, Su Xiao went to a bathhouse run by a worker nearby and took a bath. Of course, improper services were offered there, but Su Xiao merely took a bath and left after rinsing the sweat off his body.

Apart from some important buildings like the Attribute Strengthening Hall and the Skill Upgrade Hall, other shops in Reincarnation Paradise were opened by workers or Contractors. It was like a city that includes magic, martial artists, machinery, dark mysticism, and high technology.

As for how large Reincarnation Paradise was, it was still unknown. The edges of Reincarnation Paradise were restricted areas, and these would open once the population inside Reincarnation Paradise reached a certain number.

The restricted areas sounded mysterious, but they were actually desolate lands. Once these restricted areas were opened, workers would immediately buy them to set up shops or live there.

So, Reincarnation Paradise would not see a situation where the population becomes too dense and resources become scarce due to a large population base. The size of Reincarnation Paradise matched the number of Contractors and workers.

After taking a bath, Su Xiao headed straight for Xia’s restaurant, as he was already starving.

On the way, Su Xiao took out the communication device he used in Reincarnation Paradise, and moments later, the call went through.

”Come out for food, Xia’s restaurant.”

”Woof.”

Bubu Wang quickly ran out from his exclusive room. Five minutes later, Su Xiao saw Bubu Wang at the restaurant door.

Pushing open the restaurant door, there was no one inside. Xia’s restaurant was still doing poorly.

A clang was heard. There was a sound coming from the kitchen, and a peculiar smell filled the restaurant.

”What’s that smell?”

Su Xiao turned his head to escape the pungent smell, which could be described as a ’biochemical weapon’.

Bubu Wang seemed to wear an expression of emotional resignation, as if he understood some inside story.

”Failed again, darn it.”

The sound of the exhaust fan blowing came, and the air in the restaurant started to clear.

”Woof.”

Bubu Wang barked, seemingly unfazed by Xia’s behavior of not serving guests.

Xia ran out from the kitchen, with a piece of cilantro sticking out of her hair.

”You guys are here? What do you want to eat?”

Xia sat across from Su Xiao. Su Xiao was a regular here, and over time, Xia became familiar with him.

”What were you doing just now? That strange smell...”

”Haha, just a personal hobby, don’t mind it.”

Xia laughed awkwardly. One could imagine that if it weren’t for regulars like Su Xiao, any new guest would definitely be put off by that strange smell. Su Xiao finally understood why the business wasn’t doing well.

”Cilantro, on your head.”

”Huh?”

Xia touched her head and found the cilantro, making her a little embarrassed.

Bubu Wang rolled his eyes as if to say, ”We’re all familiar here, what’s there to be shy about.”

”By the way, I’ve recently developed some new cuisines. Do you want to try...”

As Xia was speaking halfway, Bubu Wang let out a painful squeal, as if recalling a painful experience, shaking his head furiously at Su Xiao.

”New cuisine? Better... never mind, I’m really hungry. Just make some of your specialties.”

”Specialties? Got it!”

Xia grinned mischievously and headed to the kitchen.

Watching Xia’s back, Bubu Wang seemed a bit panicked. His little eyes seemed to say, ”Master, should we just leave?”

”Ahem, it should be... fine.”

Twenty minutes later, dishes were laid out in front of Su Xiao and Bubu Wang.

Su Xiao took a few bites and was taken aback. These foods were not only delicious, but he vaguely felt a power surging from within his body, gradually easing the fatigue from the previous attribute enhancement.

”What is this?”

After taking a few more bites, Su Xiao confirmed that this food was indeed restoring his lost physical strength. Although it didn’t enhance his attributes, it did boost his body to a certain extent.

Bubu Wang was eating voraciously, mouth full of oil. The food not only restored physical strength but was also undeniably tasty, qualifying as top-tier delicious dishes.

Sweat trickled down Xia’s forehead as she walked out from the kitchen, leaning on the bar, watching the duo eat heartily. A gentle smile appeared on Xia’s face.

”Is it good?”

Su Xiao, chewing on food, nodded.

”With your skills, some large adventure teams wouldn’t refuse you, right?”

Hearing Su Xiao’s words, Xia looked outside the restaurant.

”Large adventure teams... Even if they wouldn’t refuse me, I would refuse them. I prefer this quiet life. Someday, I might die in the Derivative World, but enjoying the days before that is what I want. Joining those so-called large adventure teams... is exhausting. I don’t like being ordered around.”

Xia tucked her hair behind her ear. Although at first glance her appearance seemed ordinary, looking a bit longer one would find her quite a beauty.

”...”

Su Xiao said nothing. He agreed with Xia’s sentiment. Why fear death when living life to the fullest today is enough?

After a satisfying meal, Su Xiao leaned back on the chair, feeling full.

”Check, please.”

As soon as Su Xiao spoke, he found Xia already leaning in front of him.

”Too close!”

Xia’s face was nearly touching Su Xiao’s.

”A total of 395 Paradise coins.”

Xia smiled, but there was a hint of slyness in her smile.

”That cheap?”

Normally speaking, a meal for 395 Paradise coins would be considered a rip-off, but since Xia’s cooking was not ordinary food, 395 Paradise coins felt surprisingly cheap.

”You’re a regular customer, and also the first to try this dish, so I’ll only charge you the cost price. It’s quite nice to have after your attribute strengthening, right?”

”Very nice.”

Su Xiao paid Xia 500 Paradise coins.

”Keep the change.”

Su Xiao and Bubu Wang got up to leave. When Xia was the only one left in the restaurant, she was a little puzzled.

”I intended to take a loss, but somehow got back the cost. Ah well, making Bubu practice with me often makes me feel guilty.”

Xia scratched her head. Previously, she wanted to become a bit stronger, at least have some self-defense skills, so she often asked Bubu Wang to spar with her.

Bubu Wang often fought alongside Su Xiao, and his eye for judgment was not lesser than some Second Tier powerhouses. With Bubu Wang’s sparring, Xia’s combat ability improved greatly, but compared to her culinary skills, her strength was somewhat lacking.

Xia’s skills were not weak. The reason she opened a restaurant with no customers was that she enjoyed peace and quiet and loved researching recipes alone. Her interests did not lie in combat.
