Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 544: 32nd Chapter: Sand Sasori

The yellow sand howled, the burning sun scorching the earth.

In the Sand Ninja Village, in the Kazekage Building, inside a conference room.

At the center of the conference room, there was a large round table several meters wide. Seated around the table were over a dozen Sand Shinobi, all seasoned veterans of the Sand Ninja Village.

Seated at the head was a young boy, about seventeen or eighteen years old, with a head full of red fragmented hair and the word ”love” on his forehead.

”Ahem~”

A ninja in the conference room cleared his throat and began to speak: ”Lately, our interactions with various countries have increased, trade gradually connecting us, especially with the Country of Fire. This has greatly prospered our country’s economy, and thanks to the newly developed river, our water shortage has been significantly alleviated, providing water for 70% of the population.”

After reporting, a Sand Shinobi smiled.

”Seventy percent of the population?”

”That river must be heavily guarded.”

”Yes, it is our river of hope.”

The atmosphere in the conference room was relaxed, with most of the ninjas smiling.

Granny Chiyo, an elder sitting nearby, looked at the Fifth Kazekage Gaara and nodded in satisfaction. She was very pleased with this generation’s Kazekage.

”Also, in terms of nurturing new talents, there have been significant improvements since introducing Konoha’s educational curriculum.”

”The Chunin Examination is coming up, and the results will be exciting.”

”Indeed, it’s good news. They are the future of the village.”

The atmosphere in the conference room was pleasant, with most ninjas appearing relieved.

”However...” A Sand Shinobi with a little moustache and hair covering his right eye spoke up.

”What is it, Yura?”

Maki, who was sitting beside him, also spoke. Maki held a significant position in the Sand Ninja Village, second only to Chiyo.

Yura, the Sand Shinobi, pondered for a moment, and the previous atmosphere in the conference room gradually disappeared. The previous topics were all good news, now it was time for bad news.

”Have any of you heard of the Akatsuki Organization?”

Yura glanced around.

”I’ve heard a little.”

”It is said to be an organization gathered by a group of rogue ninjas, very active recently. The assassination of the Daimyo of the River Country some time ago was their doing.”

The ninjas present all nodded, but Kazekage Gaara, who was at the head, remained silent, quietly listening.

Even though Gaara was the Kazekage, there were still many ninjas within the Sand Ninja Village who did not agree with him. A village cannot be without a shadow, and together with the attitude from Konoha, Gaara smoothly became Kazekage.

”The Akatsuki Organization consists of more than ten members...”

Yura began narrating the information he knew. For some reason, as he spoke, a sharp pain surged in his mind, causing his vision to blur.

A sealing appeared in Yura’s mind. As he mentioned the Akatsuki, some fragmented memories surfaced.

”What’s wrong, Yura?”

Yura, as a Jonin of the Sand Ninja Village, had considerable connections.

”It’s nothing.”

Yura continued to relay the intelligence on the Akatsuki, but his mind grew increasingly murky.

Crack.

A crisp sound echoed in Yura’s ears, a seal shattered, and a flood of memories surged into his mind.

...

Within the borders of the Wind Country, on a stretch of desert.

Three figures walked slowly across the desert, each wearing wooden hats, with cloth strips around the brim of the hats.

Jingle.

The sound of a bell rang out, one person’s hat adorned with a red string, and the red string was tied to a small bell.

Su Xiao did not care about the bell ahead. This thing could calm one’s emotions, as traversing the desert is not an easy task.

The three of them initially traveled fast on Deidara’s clay bird, but after reaching the desert, the only way to proceed was on foot.

The wind and sand were too strong, and the temperature above was very high. It wouldn’t take long for the three to become dehydrated. In summary, flying across the desert is a suicidal act.

Moreover, Deidara needed to consume Chakra to control the clay bird. Entering the Wind Country is different from entering the Land of Water; the Land of Water is surrounded by a vast ocean, with no worry of enemies appearing.

”Sasori, how much farther?”

Su Xiao took out a bottle of water, drank half, and handed the remaining half to Bubu Wang, who drank it with a few gulps.

Bubu Wang stuck out his tongue, looking utterly dejected. He really wanted to take off his ’genuine leather coat’ at this moment.

”About half a day to reach the Sand Ninja Village.”

With Sasori around, they did not need a guide. Sasori grew up in this desert country.

Su Xiao stepped on the sand beneath his feet; the sand was very soft, leaving a deep footprint. The sand made walking more strenuous.

”It’s so hot, damn sand, bleh.”

Deidara spoke and got sand in his mouth.

”Are you sure you can rely on that bag of clay? The opponent this time is a Jinchuriki.”

Su Xiao looked at the small pouch in Deidara’s hand; the three would chat while traveling to avoid boredom.

”All my ninjutsu is art, and this time I’ve prepared the Eighteen Techniques in advance. After all, this opponent is the One Tail.”

Deidara patted the ninja tool bag at his waist, which contained special clay.

As the three continued moving forward, the Scarlet Stream Tiger suddenly stopped; it seemed Sasori inside had discovered something.

Noticing this, Su Xiao placed one hand on the hilt of the sword at his waist.

”Enemy?”

”No, there’s good news. The chess piece I placed in the Sand Ninja Village a long time ago has been activated.”

”Chess piece?”

Deidara looked at Sasori in confusion.

”It’s the kind of technique exchanged with Orochimaru.”

”Oh? So we don’t need to force our way in?”

”No need, the plan changes, we infiltrate instead.”

Su Xiao didn’t know what the two were talking about. Observing his confusion, Sasori considered for a moment and explained: ”I placed a spy in the Sand Ninja Village a long time ago. He’s unaware of his identity due to a seal I placed in his mind; hence, he won’t arouse suspicion. Before this mission, I lifted the seal. If everything goes smoothly, he’s the key to this mission.”

A spy unaware of his own identity can often have unexpected effects.

”A spy unaware of his identity? Let’s hope he helps us enter the Sand Ninja Village. A frontal assault isn’t a wise plan.”

Even with the strength of Su Xiao and the other two, a frontal assault on the Sand Ninja Village was somewhat challenging.

”We’ll see what happens; I’ve contacted him. Currently, the chess piece seems useful. But after the mission, do me a favor, Bai Ye.”

”What?”

”Eliminate this chess piece.”

Su Xiao glanced at Sasori.

”...”

”It’s my business, something I want to conclude.”

Deidara also looked at Sasori.

”That’s not a smart choice; it doesn’t align with your art.”

”Who knows.”

The three continued forward, and the team fell into silence.

Su Xiao clearly felt that Sasori was prepared to die; this sentiment emerged when entering this desert.

”I’ll help you deal with that chess piece later.”

”Thank you.”

Su Xiao exchanged looks with Deidara, and Deidara discreetly nodded.

”Sasori, Deidara and I will handle the capture of the Jinchuriki. You conserve your strength and deal with the pursuing enemies. How about it?”

Sasori didn’t speak, implicitly agreeing.

After traveling across the desert for five hours, they vaguely saw a stepped, circular solid wall ahead. This round solid wall protected the Sand Ninja Village inside, reducing wind and sand and preventing infiltration by ninjas from other countries.

At this moment, Sand Shinobi were stationed on the stepped wall, and one of them squinted his eyes as he saw figures in the distance.
