Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 543: Chapter 31: Blood Gate

Sasori contacted Nagato, and after more than ten minutes of waiting, Su Xiao spoke up.

”This mission doesn’t need to continue.”

The mission that the three had been rushing for days suddenly stopped. Considering the types of contracts the Akatsuki Organization accepted, such situations weren’t common, but they had happened before.

”Reason.”

This abrupt mission cancellation was rare, so Deidara naturally wanted to know the reason.

”The leader tried to contact the client, but the client disappeared, leaving no traces. Jue is responsible for handling this matter.”

The ”Jue” mentioned by Sasori referred to both Kakuzu and Bai Jue, who were now one entity.

”Can we move freely now?”

Su Xiao was preparing to go to the Hidden Mist Village to make some extra money and greet Mei Terumī.

”No, we’re heading to Sand Ninja Village.”

”Sand Ninja Village?”

Su Xiao’s heart raced, but he quickly calmed himself to avoid suspicion from the other two.

”Find a safe place. The leader has something for the three of us.”

The mission in the Hidden Mist Village got suddenly canceled, and Su Xiao smelled a conspiracy.

Although he was a bit disappointed about not being able to cause a scene in the Hidden Mist Village, he eagerly anticipated the upcoming mission.

He had already participated in two Akatsuki missions, performed well in both, and had even noticed something was wrong during the second one. Given Sasori’s personality, he would certainly tell Nagato that it was Su Xiao who noticed the irregularity.

Assassinating the daimyo of the River Country, fighting against the Sannin Jiraiya, intending to incite civil war in the Land of Water, and killing Hidden Mist Village Jonin—these two missions had almost made Su Xiao enemies with half of Naruto World’s major forces.

You reap what you sow; by now, Su Xiao had gained preliminary trust from the Akatsuki Organization.

Of course, Sasori and Deidara would monitor Su Xiao in future missions, but that wouldn’t affect his subsequent plans.

The three left the Hidden Mist Village, having killed two Jonin there who would soon be missed.

Killing two Jonin led Su Xiao to discover something: when there are plot characters assisting in battle, the chances of getting a treasure chest is significantly reduced. It’s not just the treasure chests; even the amount of World Source gets reduced, as exemplified by the daimyo of River Country whom he’d killed earlier.

Finding a hidden cave, Deidara punched a bear inside into doubting its life, and then the three used the Phantom Lantern Body Jutsu.

It was still the previous meeting point, where Tendo Pein was already waiting.

”The mission in the Land of Water was tough.”

After all, the three had run in vain, and Tendo commended them verbally.

”What’s the mission in Sand Ninja Village? Attacking it?”

As Deidara spoke, he looked toward Sasori’s shadow, since Sasori came from Sand Ninja Village.

”Did you clear up what I asked you to investigate earlier?”

Tendo didn’t answer Deidara’s question but instead countered with one.

”It’s clear. The Jinchuriki of the One-Tail Shukaku is called Gaara, currently the Fifth Kazekage.”

”Very good. Your mission is to capture him alive. Make sure he’s alive.”

Tendo ordered, and while Su Xiao said nothing, his heart was filled with indescribable excitement.

It’s finally about to start. He had joined the Akatsuki Organization, executed missions all over the world, and offended two major forces just for this moment—capturing the Jinchuriki.

”Looks like it’s about to begin, hm.”

Deidara was eager to try, having only heard of Jinchuriki but never fought one before.

”Sasori, about this mission...”

Tendo looked expressionlessly at Sasori. Sasori had deep ties with Sand Ninja Village and, were it not for his defection, he would surely have contested the Kazekage position.

Bear in mind, Sasori was the grandson of the ’elder’ Chiyo of Sand Ninja Village. Chiyo was valued only just below the Kage in the village. If she aided Sasori in ascending, Gaara, the hated son with a deceased father, would have stood no chance.

Given Sasori’s strength and his parents’ martyrdom for Sand Ninja Village, his odds of becoming Kazekage were high.

Unfortunately, Sasori was deeply traumatized after his parents’ deaths in his youth and began to obsess over achieving eternal life and making puppets into sentient, living beings.

Nagato wanted Sasori to capture the One-Tail because of Sasori’s familiarity with Sand Ninja Village, which was an innate advantage.

”No problem, I have informants in Sand Ninja Village.”

Tendo nodded, and with that, the meeting ended.

...

In the cave, the three opened their eyes.

”Are you kidding? More travel.”

Deidara created a large clay bird, and the three rode it, disappearing into the night as they crossed the sea to the Wind Country.

Su Xiao was heading to capture the One-Tail Jinchuriki, Gaara.

...

Within the borders of the Country of Fire, in a temporary camp.

This camp had only been established recently, containing over a hundred tents. The people walking between the tents had various appearances, sitting together in groups of three or five, some drinking and chatting, others playing games; they were all Contractors.

Inside the main tent in the center of the camp, a shirtless strong man sat inside, covered in scars. A scantily clad woman leaned against his chest, her eyes veiled with spring shadiness, the tent filled with a strange aroma. It was obvious what the two had just done.

”Boss.”

A man in a black robe rushed into the tent, his face hidden under a hood, his eyes looking like two green ghostly flames.

”What’s the matter?”

Suddenly interrupted, the strong man, looking a bit angry, pushed the woman off him—a matter-of-fact gesture, as if pushing away a toy he’d grown tired of playing with.

”Stan, can’t you change that habitual action? This isn’t a spa; you’re playing with public money!”

The spring shadiness in the woman’s eyes vanished. Despite her charming looks, she had a robust wifely aura that made Stan feign composure.

This famous Blood Gate Adventure Group leader had a secret: he was afraid of his wife.

You couldn’t blame Stan—anyone with such a wife would be afraid. His wife was someone who could disassemble a Gundam bare-handed, remarkably violent.

”Hello, sister-in-law.”

The man with ghostly eyes quickly greeted.

”Ghost Eye, if it’s nothing urgent, then...”

Ying Lan stared at Ghost Eye, making it clear that she’d tear him apart if he had no urgent news.

Swallowing hard, Ghost Eye looked to Stan pleadingly.

”Trouble?”

Stan looked at Ying Lan, who lowered her head, her previous attitude disappearing.

In front of others, Ying Lan gave Stan face, and what he said was absolute. She would only display strength when they were alone.

The members of the Blood Gate Adventure Group were all terrified of this sister-in-law. If anyone betrayed the group, Ying Lan would undoubtedly be the one to handle it.

”What is it?”

Stan put on a coat and habitually touched the scar on his face, a wound acquired before he entered the Reincarnation Paradise, extending from below his eye to his neck.

”The affair in the Land of Water failed; the news has sunk without a trace.”

”Failed? The Akatsuki Organization found out?”

Stan stood up, harboring some fear towards someone within the Akatsuki Organization—the monster who could single-handedly challenge Konoha.

”Impossible they found out. We’ve set up multiple layers of safeguards; we wouldn’t contact the Akatsuki Organization otherwise.”

Listening to Ghost Eye, Stan nodded.

”Failed, but so be it. I planned to make some gains in the Land of Water; without chaos, it holds no value.”

Stan didn’t intend to stay in the Country of Fire any longer; there were too many Contractors here. His large adventure team and two others irritated one another, and no one had benefited, so he planned to withdraw. As for Gulu, he’d already given up—it was simply too hard to find.

”Did you manage to investigate the Contractor who joined the Akatsuki Organization?”

”No.”

Ghost Eye bowed his head.

”What about Zimo’s case?”

”Also...there’s no information on who did it.”

Cold sweat started seeping from Ghost Eye’s brow, a pressure weighing down on his shoulders.

Ghost Eye looked up in terror, his body trembling as Stan’s eyes glowed with a golden radiance.

”Stan, calm down, don’t kill your subordinates.”

Ying Lan gently pushed Stan’s back.

”Ghost Eye, leave.”

”Y-Yes.”

Ghost Eye left the tent almost as if fleeing, a strange look in his eyes.

”Calm down, Stan.”

”I am calm. Ying, go eliminate Ghost Eye.”

”Why...”

”Eliminate him.”

”Mm.”

Ying Lan asked no more questions and walked outside, leaving Stan alone in the tent.

”Ghost Eye, I told you before, no matter how many benefits others offer, I’ll offer triple. What perks did the Divine King give you to betray me silently?”

With a crisp crack, spatial cracks appeared around Stan, through which golden light faintly glimmered.

Stan, leader of the Blood Gate Adventure Group, had once fought the second of the brigade, removing two of his arms and a leg, dominating the adventure group with sheer force, his word law.

If the Divine King led his adventure group through allegiance, Stan was the opposite; he didn’t care what his subordinates thought—disobedience meant death.
