Chapter 520: Chapter 8: Strong Desire for Revenge

After Su Xiao shot dead a Taijutsu-type Jonin, the ninjas pursuing him subconsciously slowed their steps and quickly dispersed.

Turning the muzzle, Su Xiao’s second target was Qing. With that guy’s White Eye, he would definitely not escape.

Bang.

The bullet flew out of the muzzle, speeding towards Qing.

At this moment, Qing stopped his pursuit. His White Eye sensed that Su Xiao had already aimed at him. Although he didn’t know what kind of weapon it was, he knew it was very dangerous.

Qing dove directly to the ground, the bullet grazing his head and leaving a groove in his drill-shaped hairstyle.

Lying on the ground, Qing swallowed hard; he had barely avoided getting his head shattered. He quickly realized that continuing the chase like this wouldn’t work.

”Stop.”

Bang.

Another shot, still targeting Qing.

At this time, Bubu Wang was running at high speed, already creating a distance from Qing. Combined with Su Xiao using iron sights, the bullet only passed closely by Qing’s arm.

Bang, bang, bang...

Su Xiao didn’t care about the bullet consumption; he had to kill Qing.

After firing seven bullets consecutively, Qing, who had been continuously dodging, was finally hit, and one of his legs exploded.

As Su Xiao had guessed, the physical strength of powerful people in the Naruto World wasn’t high, especially for Qing, a Jonin, who was also a Perception Type.

After breaking Qing’s leg, Bubu Wang had already run over a hundred meters away.

At this kind of distance, it’s impossible to hit the enemy using iron sights. Su Xiao decisively activated the ’Optical Infrared Detector 8x (Active)’.

Click, click, hum~

The ’Optical Infrared Detector’ extended from the Spider Queen Gun, and Su Xiao aimed the crosshair at Qing, who was crawling on the ground in the distance. Because Bubu Wang was running at high speed, the scope was somewhat shaky.

Pulling the trigger, bang.

From the scope, Su Xiao saw soil splashing beside Qing, the bullet hitting the earth.

At this point, Qing’s leg was broken, fractured at the knee, with the break uneven. With such an injury, it’s impossible to dodge bullets.

The ninjas pursuing Su Xiao were stunned by the firearms; before this, they had never seen guns.

Bang, bang.

Su Xiao had a firm gaze on Qing; Mei Terumī had been using him all along; not leaving a ’gift’ for the other side wouldn’t be enough.

After firing five consecutive shots, Qing’s head exploded like a watermelon in the scope, leaving a broken White Eye falling to the ground.

[You have killed the Hidden Mist Village Jonin · Qing]

[Qing is a Jonin from the Hidden Mist Village, obtained 3.2% of the World Source, now totaling 5.3% of the World Source.]

...

A smile appeared on Su Xiao’s face. The Mei Terumī he saw was the real Mei Terumī, a woman capable of bearing the position of Mizukage. What was seen in the anime was only the tip of the iceberg of her character.

No ninja who earns the title of Kage has a simple mind.

First, it’s important to understand what a Ninja Village is. A Ninja Village represents the military strength of a great nation, and the Kage is the leader of a Ninja Village, essentially controlling a nation’s military might. Could such a person have a simple mind?

A simple-minded person can never become a Kage; the other ninjas in the village wouldn’t allow it, nor would the nation’s rulers.

Of course, there are exceptions; if that person has overwhelming power and also a powerful ally, becoming a Kage is indisputable.

The pursuit continued, but after Su Xiao killed two more people, the ninjas pursuing him from the Mist Ninja clearly slowed their pace; they knew this type of pursuit wasn’t feasible.

”Notify the Assassination Squad.”

The proposal of a Jonin received recognition from the other ninjas, and they all stopped their pursuit.

It wasn’t giving up on the chase but letting the teams more skilled at tracking to hunt down Su Xiao.

The Mist Ninjas abandoned the chase, but Su Xiao didn’t cease firing.

Targeting a Mist Ninja’s head, Su Xiao pulled the trigger.

Bang.

That ninja’s head exploded; it was a Chunin. Perhaps due to insufficient strength, there was no gain of the World Source.

Ninjas are difficult to deal with at mid-range. Most ninjutsus are released at mid to close ranges. During the pursuit of Su Xiao, these ninjas used at least dozens of ninjutsus. If it weren’t for Bubu Wang running so fast, Su Xiao would have already been caught.

The enemies behind gradually disappeared from sight, and Su Xiao put away the Spider Queen Gun, with fresh blood flowing along his arm. His arm was pierced by a long needle, called a Thousand Stems in the Naruto World.

There was some dizziness in his head; no need to think it’s known that this Thousand Stems was poisoned.

After Bubu Wang sprinted for half an hour, they stopped in a sparse forest.

Jumping off Bubu Wang’s back, Su Xiao took off his shirt and cleaned the wound as quickly as possible. As for the toxins in his body, they had long been annihilated by Blue Steel Shadow Energy.

Although he escaped from the Hidden Mist Village, Su Xiao was severely injured. Previously, detonating the Alchemy Bomb at close range injured his internal organs, and the subsequent pursuit by the Mist Ninjas.

It was indeed a bit of a mess, but he escaped the Hidden Mist Village.

Continue running away? Certainly not. Being hunted down so miserably, it would be too much of a loss not to leave the Mist Ninjas something, and running like this would only lead to being hunted down to death. It’s necessary to mislead the Mist Ninjas’ judgment.

After dealing with the wound, Su Xiao cleaned up the blood traces on the ground.

”Return.”

Upon hearing Su Xiao’s words, Bubu Wang was somewhat surprised; shouldn’t they be fleeing right now?

The truth isn’t so. Although Su Xiao has already escaped the Hidden Mist Village, the Mist Village will definitely send people to continue hunting him down.

Rather than waiting to be pursued, Su Xiao decided to go on the offensive, making a strategic retreat against the Mist Village, leaving them uncertain if he had escaped or was still near the Hidden Mist Village.

Although it’s somewhat crazy for one person to oppose a Ninja Village, he has one thing that ninjas cannot match, and that is his super-long-range killing ability.

The Purple Quality sniper rifle, the Spider Queen, has an extreme range of 2.36 kilometers. Su Xiao’s sniping skills aren’t strong, but the Spider Queen is advanced enough to automatically calculate wind speed, air humidity, etc. Su Xiao can kill enemies from 1.5 kilometers away.

The distances are somewhat exaggerated, but that’s the power of Purple Quality equipment.

Riding on Bubu Wang, Su Xiao approached the vicinity of the Hidden Mist Village.

There are guards on the edge of the Mist Village. According to Su Xiao’s observations, the guards around the Mist Village are only a few hundred meters away from it, making it possible to snipe people inside the Mist Village bypassing these guards.

...

A few hours later, Bubu Wang arrived at a position one kilometer from the Mist Village. During this period, it avoided the pursuit of many ninjas.

Su Xiao rode Bubu Wang around the Mist Village, searching for advantageous terrain.

At this time, the Mist Village was dealing with the houses Su Xiao had destroyed, as well as the subsequent logistics.

Mei Terumī was calmly directing, simultaneously arranging plans for later, including sending people to hunt Su Xiao.

Although her face was calm, her fists inside her sleeves were tightly clenched. Her most capable assistant, Qing, was dead, causing her heart to bleed and filling her with sadness, even if she didn’t show it.

Looking at the Mist Village, Qing’s reconnaissance ability was top-notch, not to mention his loyalty to Mei Terumī. Loyalty is something that cannot be replaced by anything.

”Elder Qi Jie, I’ll handle the follow-up of this matter, and the village’s surroundings are entrusted to you.”

Hearing Mei Terumī’s words, an elderly ninja was taken aback; he was a core figure of the Warring Faction, belonging to an ’opposing’ side to Mei Terumī.

”This...”

Elder Qi Jie couldn’t understand why Mei Terumī would let go of such an important job.

”We are all Mist Ninjas. Now there are malicious people intending to destroy the village; internal conflicts should be put aside first.”

”Hmm, you’re right.”

Elder Qi Jie led a few ninjas behind him and quickly walked towards the village’s edge. After taking a couple of steps, a Perception Ninja beside him knocked him to the ground.

With a crashing sound, a pit the size of a faceplate exploded open in the soil.

”Enemy attack!”

The surrounding ninjas immediately assumed combat stances, but despite being on guard for a while, everything was deathly silent around them. They didn’t even know where the enemy was.
