Chapter 505: Chapter 77: The Most Trashy Purple Weapon

Currently, Dragon Slash is of Purple Quality, with a Blade Sharpness of 67%. If I want to upgrade it to Dark Purple Quality, at least two Purple Knife Type Weapons are needed.

Su Xiao already has one Purple Knife Type Weapon, which is the Curved Claw Blade—a Purple Knife Type item with a rating of 136 points.

It seems that just buying one more Purple Knife Type Weapon will suffice.

However, before enhancing Dragon Slash, Su Xiao wants to strengthen it a bit.

It’s important to know that the cost of enhancing Purple Quality weapons differs greatly from enhancing Dark Purple Quality weapons.

The problem arises that once Dragon Slash’s quality is upgraded, will the enhancement level drop? When upgrading from Blue to Purple Quality, there was no drop, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a drop when upgrading from Purple to Dark Purple Quality.

During the last upgrade, whether the enhancement level was retained was debated for a long time. Su Xiao estimates that this time, when upgrading Dragon Slash’s quality, the enhancement level is very likely to drop.

This is a normal situation. The cost of enhancing Blue Quality equipment isn’t much different from enhancing Purple Equipment, so retaining the enhancement level is possible. However, Dark Purple Equipment is different.

According to Su Xiao’s observations, Dark Purple Equipment is the strongest equipment that a few First Tier contractors can acquire. Beyond that, the quality isn’t something a First Tier contractor can obtain.

After consulting Reincarnation Paradise for a consultation fee of 500 Paradise Coins, Su Xiao received a clear answer.

If Dragon Slash’s quality is upgraded to Dark Purple, the enhancement level will indeed decrease!

Although this result was somewhat disappointing to Su Xiao, it’s an unavoidable fact.

The next steps became much simpler—purchase a Purple Knife Type Weapon with relatively weaker attributes and upgrade the quality of Dragon Slash first.

The Curved Claw Blade, with a high rating, can at least boost Dragon Slash’s Blade Value to over 90%.

Su Xiao still has 157,250 Paradise Coins, and 150,000 Paradise Coins are enough to upgrade and enhance Dragon Slash.

Arriving at the trading market, Su Xiao started looking for lower-rated Purple Knife Type Weapons. After searching for a long time, a stall caught his attention.

This stall was surrounded by contractors, and Su Xiao squeezed forward. The stall owner, a masked man, was negotiating something with a contractor.

”The highest offer is 200,000 Paradise Coins, not a penny more.”

”Are you dreaming? 200,000 Paradise Coins for a Paramecia Fruit?”

Hearing their conversation, Su Xiao raised an eyebrow. It seemed they were selling a Devil Fruit, and a Paramecia Type at that.

Upon checking the stall, the Devil Fruit was a Paramecia Type Clear-Clear Fruit, a fruit belonging to Moonlight Moria’s subordinates. Su Xiao couldn’t remember the exact name, only that the guy supposedly spied on Nami taking a bath.

Su Xiao had no interest in Devil Fruits, as he had sold one before.

On the stall, Su Xiao’s lips curled into a smile upon finding the ’target’, a very crappy Purple Knife Type Weapon.

After searching for over two hours, he finally found a suitable Purple Quality Weapon.

Refined Steel Knife

Origin: One Piece

Quality: Purple

Durability: 97/97

Attack Power: 27–37

Equipment Requirements: 8 points or more in Power, 12 points or more in Agility.

Equipment Effect: Refined (Passive), tempered through countless refining, not easy to break or damage.

Rating: 80

Description: A meticulously crafted weapon, but the maker’s craftsmanship isn’t very advanced. However, this knife is sufficiently hard.

Price: 11,000 Paradise Coins

...

This knife isn’t very sharp, and its attached ability is average. Its classification as Purple Quality is due to its resistance to damage, with durability higher than Dragon Slash, and its lower usage requirements make it suitable for newcomers.

An awkward problem arises: newcomers can’t afford this knife, as the stall owner priced it at 30,000 Paradise Coins.

A piece of equipment’s true value is determined not just by quality but also by various attributes.

Take Su Xiao’s Fate Redemption as an example. If he were to sell it, exchanging it for Dark Purple Quality Equipment wouldn’t be a problem.

The argument between the stall owner and the contractor got more heated, with the contractor stating that Observation Haki is the nemesis of the Invisibility Fruit, so the value of this fruit isn’t high.

The stall was quite helpless, bluntly stating: ’Buy if you want, get lost if you don’t.’

The negotiation between the two happily collapsed, and Su Xiao spoke up.

”This knife could be cheaper.”

On the outside, the stall owner remained expressionless, but inwardly they were pleased; finally, someone showed interest in this junk knife. This knife wasn’t acquired along with the Devil Fruit but was obtained five Derivative Worlds ago.

”30,000 is already cheap, considering it’s Purple Quality...”

Su Xiao shook his hand.

”Frankly, this is the most pathetic Purple Weapon I’ve ever seen, bar none.”

The stall owner chuckled brightly, though outwardly explaining earnestly, inwardly they agreed with Su Xiao’s opinion.

”Name your price.”

”12,000 Paradise Coins.”

The stall owner’s mouth twitched; they could sell this knife to Reincarnation Paradise for at least 11,000 Paradise Coins.

”20,000, no less.”

Perhaps the knife sat on the shelf too long, and since the stall didn’t use knives, they reduced the price by a third.

Su Xiao stopped haggling and directly spent 20,000 Paradise Coins to buy the knife.

With a Purple Weapon in hand, Su Xiao returned to his exclusive room, as it’s best not to let outsiders see the Supreme Blade Ability.

Placing Dragon Slash with the two Purple Weapons together, Su Xiao’s hand emitted a black ethereal glow, enveloping the two Purple Weapons.

Kaka~

The two Purple Weapons were instantly ground to fragments, and a swirl of purple crystal shards emerged, gradually being absorbed by Dragon Slash.

The purple crystal shards merged into the blade, and the violet glow from Dragon Slash’s edge became deeper and darker.

The violet glow enveloped Dragon Slash; Su Xiao knew this was a sign that Dragon Slash was advancing to Dark Purple Quality and would take some time.

Half an hour later, the violet glow gradually faded, and Dragon Slash appeared before him.

A trace of violet slowly faded across Dragon Slash’s edge, and Su Xiao nodded with satisfaction, then shook his head.

The +8 additional Blade Sharpness +2 attribute on Dragon Slash disappeared, with the enhancement level dropping to +7.

Even so, Dragon Slash was much sharper than before. If he were to face the Dark King now with Dragon Slash, while ordinary cleaves might not sever the opponent’s limbs, they could definitely slice deep, to the bone.

[Yes/No substitute Shadow Dance Break (Passive).]

The additional abilities of the two Purple Weapons emerged, allowing Su Xiao to choose one to replace the Shadow Dance Break ability.

Choosing no, as Shadow Dance Break not only reduces defense but also decreases the enemy’s healing amount, making it a very useful ability.

Su Xiao checked the attributes of Dragon Slash.
