This type of open-world main quest is usually a continuous task.

The first main quest is not difficult; there are numerous factions in the Naruto World, with dozens of large and small Ninja Villages. Aside from Ninja Villages, there are also other forces.

[Hunting Quest: Eliminate Violator No. 10001.]

Quest Description: Eliminate Violator No. 10001 by any means, a Second Tier violator, extremely dangerous.

Quest Deadline: Before leaving this Derivative World.

Quest Reward: Silver Honor Medal.

...

The hunting quest appeared. There were no hunting quests in the previous assessment world and survival trials. After Su Xiao advanced to the Second Tier, a hunting quest appeared again.

No need to consider the hunting quest now, but determine the current timeline instead.

Su Xiao is located in the Hidden Mist Village. From the introduction of the Blood Mist, he roughly determined the current timeline.

”Not good...”

If he’s not mistaken, it’s now the most chaotic time in the Hidden Mist Village.

A group of rogue ninjas, organized as ’Akatsuki’, is controlling Hidden Mist Village, the Fourth Mizukage being controlled by an illusion technique.

The so-called Blood Mist actually represents a period, a very cruel period.

Ninjas in their early years attend the Ninja Academy to learn basic knowledge. Other Ninja Villages determine graduation through ’exams’, but Hidden Mist Village is different. Here, soon-to-graduate students are gathered to kill each other, with a survival rate of less than half, sometimes leaving only one person.

The notorious name of Blood Mist is not unfounded. Whether in governance or external strategies, Hidden Mist is extremely ruthless.

Currently, Su Xiao is imprisoned within the ’dungeon’ of Hidden Mist Village for an unknown crime. Judging from the treatment, the crime should not be light, as he is confined in the deepest cell.

”Hey.”

A voice calls out again from the neighboring cell.

”What?”

Su Xiao responds.

”I thought you were dead too. Is Chuanmu dead?”

The cellmate reaches out through the iron bars, showing an arm full of scars, with faint teeth marks visible, likely from desperation hunger.

”Dead.”

”Great, share a piece with me.”

The sound of swallowing can be heard.

Su Xiao sits in the cell, lights a cigarette, and ignores the ’cellmate’ next door.

”Cold guy, how did you get in here?”

”...”

Su Xiao remains silent.

”I got in for assassinating a woman. She was a masterpiece, but too strong. Almost burned me to ashes.”

”Woman?”

Su Xiao becomes interested. Perhaps he can get some information from this talkative cellmate.

”Yes, a woman. Even thinking about it now, I can’t forget her, especially her figure, tsk tsk~”

”Ninja?”

”Of course. If she wasn’t a ninja, I wouldn’t have gone for the assassination.”

”...”

Su Xiao doesn’t press further. In this dark cell, the talkative neighbor will surely speak up voluntarily.

”You’re not curious about who the woman is?”

”Not curious.”

Upon receiving Su Xiao’s response, the talkative cellmate seems a bit annoyed.

”That woman’s name is Mei Terumī, a Peacemaker Faction scum. I almost killed her. If Chōjūrō hadn’t suddenly appeared, I could have won one-on-one.”

An icy laugh echoes from next door, and Su Xiao raises an eyebrow. Mei Terumī? Fifth Mizukage?

”Hey, what crime did you commit to be imprisoned deeper than me?”

”Not sure.”

”Huh?”

Su Xiao indeed isn’t sure. Someone should come to see him; otherwise, this bizarre beginning would be too dubious.

”What’s your name?”

After the talkative cellmate asks, Su Xiao ponders for a few seconds and then speaks.

”Bai Ye.”

”Bai Ye? You’re the madman who attempted to assassinate the Fourth Mizukage?”

”Hmm?”

Su Xiao exhales a puff of blue smoke, a glint flashing in his eyes in the darkness.

Reincarnation Paradise assigned him the identity of a failed assassin of the Fourth Mizukage. As for determining the failure, it certainly relates to his current situation.

Reincarnation Paradise doesn’t assign identities arbitrarily. Thinking this through, Su Xiao indeed feasibly has the ability to assassinate the Fourth Mizukage.

In terms of power, Su Xiao’s strength greatly differs from the Fourth Mizukage.

As thoughts race through his mind, Su Xiao considers a possibility: that Blue Steel Shadow greatly restrains Chakra.

Su Xiao had considered this scenario before; if ninjas lose their Chakra, they’re just physically strong humans.

Blue Steel Shadow has a trait that causes energy within the victim to rampage as it burns, though it only lasts about a fraction of a second to a second.

Ninjas require Chakra to use Ninjutsu. Without Chakra, not only is Ninjutsu impossible, but even Taijutsu is affected.

Considering this, ninjas and mages share a resemblance, though their combat styles differ.

Su Xiao believes if a ninja gets close and wounded by him, their outcome would likely be grim.

Of course, some ninjas are different, such as those with Bloodline Limits.

Ordinary ninja techniques can be broadly classified by attributes: Wind, Fire, Thunder, Water, Earth, with deeper attributes including Yin and Yang.

A Bloodline Limit combines two attributes, like fusing Wind and Water to create Ice Shield, exemplifying a Bloodline Limit.

This is merely the most basic Bloodline Limit. Pupil Skills like White Eye and Sharingan are also Bloodline Limits.

Defeating ordinary ninjas shouldn’t be difficult for Su Xiao. A Chunin isn’t his match, and with desperation, an encounter with a Jonin shouldn’t be a concern. As for Shadow Level, keeping distance ensures certain death for Su Xiao.

But if attacked closely, with stealth, even a Shadow Level might die by his hand. The combination of Sword Technique Master Lv.21 and Dark Purple +10 Dragon Slash isn’t trivial, not to mention the energy-burning Blue Steel Shadow.

Su Xiao and his neighboring cellmate share some fate: both failed to assassinate Mizukages, one the Fourth and the other the Fifth.

”What should I call you, able to attempt an assassination on the Fifth Mizukage means you’re no ordinary person.”

This time, Su Xiao takes the initiative to ask.

”Heh~ Fifth Mizukage?”

The neighboring cellmate snickers, seemingly hearing something ludicrous.

”That woman? Fifth Mizukage? What a joke!”

The talkative cellmate roars angrily, his emotions slightly out of control, punching the iron bars with a booming sound.

After a long while, the talkative cellmate calms down.

”Is she not yet the Fifth Mizukage?”

”Of course not; she’s not even now, and never will be.”

The cell falls into deathly silence.

”What should I call you?”

Su Xiao asks.

”Hōzuki Susuki.”

Hearing this name, Su Xiao understands why the other has the capability to attempt an assassination on Mei Terumī. It’s the Hōzuki Clan.

The Hōzuki Clan’s ability is Water Transformation, yet this person is trapped in a cell?

”Hōzuki Clan? This place can’t hold you, can it?”
