Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 840: Chapter 540: Champion Sparring Partner_2

Then, make Hydreigon and Dragapult fight centered around it.

It’s not to say this is bad, but this kind of battle, which is almost like ”rock-paper-scissors”, holds no interest for the elegance-loving Mikoli.

Moreover.

He has already witnessed the bond between Baimu and Aggron, seen what he wanted to see, and there’s no need to forcibly recreate such an emotionally touching scene multiple times.

The ultimate purpose of this Gym Battle is definitely not to make the latter and his Pokémon struggle for victory again and again in front of powerful opponents.

Otherwise, Swampert should have been sent out from the very start.

What’s the point of gradually increasing the intensity?

Even putting all this aside, how could Walrein, a Pokémon that accompanied him to the champion throne, easily lose to Baimu?

There’s still room for a fight!

Show me something exciting again!

”Since I’ve already experienced your Copper Wall and Iron Wall, next it’s your turn to try breaking through my glacier.”

Mikoli spoke of Walrein’s strength.

This quickly brought Baimu back to his senses, swiftly switching the Pokeball in his hand to another one.

In the audience seats.

Adam leaned back in his chair, looking even more helpless.

”Mikoli, you’re as willful as ever...”

”Uncle Master, what did you say?”

”No, nothing at all.”

He shook his head in denial at Liuqia’s inquiry, but his eyes grew deeper, as if lost in some kind of memory.

He still remembers that afternoon, when nothing happened, Mikoli suddenly told him:

”I don’t want to be Champion anymore.”

To suddenly throw away the Glazed Gym he inherited and become Champion, only to say something like this?

And yet he succeeded.

Da Wu returned to the champion throne.

From becoming a Champion, Master of the Gorgeous Competition, founding the Mikoli Club, to stepping down as Champion, and then becoming a Gym Leader again, the ”Prince Shui” Mikoli in Adam’s eyes has always been characterized by ”rebellion”.

Only wanting to see what he wants to see, Mikoli often disregards some of the established rules.

For this, Adam used to have headaches.

Yet he was powerless.

Fortunately, with the third generation Liuqia entering a rebellious phase, Mikoli began to understand his pain and unexpectedly restrained himself quite a bit.

Perhaps he’s tasted the feeling from Adam’s time.

The tradition of mutual torment among three generations of descendants.

But deep down, this guy is still the ”Free Person” born for elegance, and this battle is the stage Mikoli built for Baimu.

The climax has passed; what follows requires an elegant ending.

Based on this Gym Battle.

Adam got a clear understanding of what he should teach Baimu in the days to come.

——

In the arena.

Baimu didn’t really understand Mikoli’s thoughts.

But when the latter said he wouldn’t adhere to the Gym’s power rules, it was clearly up to Mikoli to decide how things would go.

Not to mention the Champion-level Walrein, even if a Magikarp was sent out, it might not be impossible.

He had only one thing to do—

Find a way to win!

Aggron had already given its all, and as its Trainer, he had to fulfill its promise.

”I’m counting on you!”

”Waddles!”

Dragapult appeared once more, with the two Dreepys in its launchers looking nervously or excitedly at the Walrein opposite.

Reverse the attack!

Though its endurance can’t compare to Mega Swampert, Dragapult is still undoubtedly a high-attack, high-speed Pokémon. Compared to the primarily high-defense and high-endurance Walrein, there’s an inexplicable sense of things being turned upside down.

”Eh? Isn’t this just the reverse of the previous battle?”

Liuqia couldn’t help but say.

Adam shook his head and said, ”That’s just the surface.”

In terms of attributes alone, Dragapult is restrained by the Ice Attribute of Walrein and can’t restrain Walrein in return, which greatly reduces Dragapult’s margin for error.

Plus, this guy’s special ability...

”Hail!”

”Shadow Clone!”

Mikoli and Baimu gave their commands.

Dragapult immediately transformed into countless shadow clones, whirling around Walrein at great speed, confusing its eyes.

Unexpectedly, Walrein remained unfazed, simply raising its head and roaring, its deep voice resounding throughout the arena.

Swish!

A swirling white mist erupted from its body, sweeping across the field and gathering in the sky almost instantly.

In an instant.

Countless tiny ice particles fell, making a crackling sound as they touched the Dragapult shadows, with faint white currents skittering across them.

The numerous shadows froze in expression, disappearing like punctured balloons.

”The real body is above your upper left!”

Mikoli’s voice guided Walrein’s gaze, and sure enough, the falling ice grains in mid-air occasionally flashed with tiny currents, outlining a vague figure.

Dragapult’s Invisibility Ability was seen through so easily!

Its forced emergence left it looking slightly panicked.

”Don’t panic! Dragon Dance!”

Baimu called out to calm it and gave another command.

The Social Dinosaur, unlike Dragonair, required frequent vocal feedback to act according to his instructions; otherwise, in a moment of urgency, Dragapult would certainly act on its own.

This is also the helplessness in cultivating mature Pokémon; without the Trainer’s ”color”, their ways of thinking differ greatly.

Looking at all the battles over time, Mikoli can be said to be the first Trainer to frequently use weather moves, employing them more than three times in just one five-on-five battle.
