Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 808: Chapter 525: White Duck Dancer (Part 2)

Baimu reviewed his current simulation results.

In terms of level rewards, only the one for ”Increase below lv90 by 5 levels” remained; the others, limited to level 70 or even level 50, were consumed as much as possible.

The accumulated moves include String Shot, Harden, Magic Brilliance, Brave Bird Assault, Treasure Gathering Skill, Magic Space, Ice Breath, and twelve skill blind boxes.

Among them, Magic Space was leftover from the last big opening event, and no one could learn it, thus it remained.

And Ice Breath was the result of the recent three regular simulations.

The other two regular simulations yielded Wide Area Destruction, given as a joining gift to Dragapult, and Instant Amnesia, which only Galarian Corsola could learn, so there was not much to say.

Three clues remain.

These are designated attribute, designated attribute (excellent), and legendary clue.

His gaze stayed on the last one for a long time.

He recalled that when he chose it initially, this thing did not mention capturing, leading him to suspect that even if he followed the clue, he might not be able to capture that Legendary Pokémon.

But regardless.

He was exceptionally curious about this clue, but unfortunately, he hasn’t had the time to delve into it over the past few months; he’ll wait until the Ever Grande Conference ends to use it.

With this in mind, Baimu clicked the simulation options.

[Choose your birth region ▽]

Last time it was the Galar Region, so this time it should be the Padia Region’s turn.

Due to the precise timing before his transition, he didn’t have the chance to play the game, which left him with some small expectations for this place.

Will a Legendary Pokémon appear? Like that time with the musician?

He clicked on gender.

Superpower User was male, so this time it’s female.

He clicked on Pokémon.

Due to the success in participating in the league tournament in the last regular simulation, even though it didn’t break through the preliminaries, this column wasn’t left blank.

”Huh? This is?”

Baimu looked at the words ”Quaxly” displayed above, momentarily not reacting.

After half a second, he remembered this thing is one of the Three Families from the Padia Region, a cute duck with blue hair-like head feathers resembling a rebellious tough guy.

Starting with the Three Families!

This simulation target is pretty good.

He felt increasingly anticipated, even though the limit for Blue Talent was probably a runner-up in the conference, but the minimum was barely breaking through the preliminaries!

The difference in results is quite significant.

Talent, talent!

Baimu eagerly pressed the talent option.

Fixed Talent:

[☆ Well-trained (Higher comprehensive quality of Pokémon)]

Selectable Talents:

[Elite System (Won’t capture too many Pokémon)]

[Sentimental (Easy to have mindset shaken)]

[Kind-hearted (Willing to help others)]

[Peach Blossoms Luck (Possible interactions with the opposite sex)]

This talent matching...

He fell into contemplation, the fixed talent being Sister Xiangfen’s same type, a very wonderful talent. As for the selectable talents, there is one positive, two neutral, and one negative.

Kind-hearted is definitely a must-select, as this talent has never been a pit for him. Peach Blossoms Luck actually isn’t necessary, Sentimental and Elite System...

Baimu decided to choose the latter; the supplementary note for Sentimental is too frightening, like easy to have mindset shaken or something, isn’t that easy to lose composure? This is not a good talent for Trainers.

Quickly selected.

He took a deep breath, lay down on the sofa, opened a soda, chips, and the TV, adjusting to the best viewing position.

Start.

——

[Simulation Start]

The familiar light screen slowly unfolds, and pixelated skies and white clouds come into view.

Then, a carriage dragged by many colorful birds appears.

”Squawkabilly...”

Baimu glanced at the Illustrated Guide.

It shows that these strange birds resembling parrots are specifically responsible for transportation in the Padia Region, similar to Galar Region’s Corviknight taxis.

Moments later.

Squawkabilly slowly descends, stopping the carriage in a bustling city square.

A girl dressed in a student uniform opens the door.

Narration appears.

[At age eleven, under your parents’ request, you arrive at Padia Region’s Orange Academy to study, which makes you, who is fond of dancing, quite dissatisfied, as you have no interest in becoming a Trainer]

The simulation target is a female student again this time?

He was stunned, his gaze catching the focus of the latter two sentences—

Loves dancing, doesn’t want to be a Trainer.

Oh no.

Big problem.

Someone with Well-trained talent only wants to dance; it’s the first time Baimu has seen a simulation target turn a multiple-choice question into a single-choice in all his simulations.

Musicians, calligraphers, chefs have all proven with their strength that the main and side careers don’t conflict.

But unfortunately, this one...

It seems like her mind hasn’t come around yet?

To differentiate, let’s call her Dancer.

Baimu recalled that there’s an npc of this type of Trainer in the game, but he couldn’t remember if the model looked like her.

Coincidentally, her initial Pokémon was Quaxly.

Quite fitting.

He remembered Quaxly as a Pokémon that’s good at dancing, especially tap dance and cowboy dance.

Baimu operated his phone one-handedly to browse the Padia Illustrated Guide, while his peripheral vision was on the Dancer entering the castle-like building to register at the reception.

[You successfully completed the registration and arrived at your assigned class—1-B]

In the classroom.

Numerous pixel characters sat in rows, and Dancer searched for a while before spotting her seat.

[You looked at the large number of strangers around you, feeling out of place]

The peculiar image gave Baimu a sense of déjà vu from the time he simulated Miniskirt, but clearly, compared to the Pokémon Research School where Miniskirt was, Orange Academy isn’t too ”proper.”

Because it sends out Pokémon.

[At the teacher’s reminder, you received your first Pokémon—Quaxly, but having no interest in becoming a Trainer, you were entirely clueless about how to regard it]

Dancer held a Pokeball and returned to her seat.

Narrative type narration popped out first, quickly replaced by system type narration.

[You received Quaxly, your dance partner increased]

Dance partner!

What a fitting metaphor!

The teacher on the podium blabbered a lot, and the text in speech bubbles flew too fast for Baimu to catch, so he could only guess the content through narration.

[You learned from the teacher’s mouth that one notable trait of Orange Academy is that all students must participate in a club activity—”Treasure Hunt”]

[You had zero interest in this, treating everything the teacher said as wind beside your ears, then went back to the dorm on your own afterwards]

The dorms at Orange Academy seem to be single-rooms, and the small room housed just a bed and some simple furniture.

Dancer lay on the bed, her hand beside the Pokeball.

The speech bubble above her head continued to float ellipses.

[Looking at the ceiling, you thought of what your parents told you before coming here—that answers could be found at Orange Academy. But in a place full of Pokémon battles, what answers can be found?]

[You felt puzzled, looking at the Pokeball beside you]

Dancer tentatively opened the Pokeball.

The lively Quaxly instantly leaped out from inside, revealing its highly exuberant personality, and as soon as it showed up, it started shaking its hips and running wildly around the dorm, its feet clattering like nobody’s business.

Making Dancer hastily retrieve it back into the Pokeball.

[You looked at the Pokeball with lingering fear, having not expected this Pokémon was issued by the school according to your personality]

[You were disappointed in the school’s discernment ability]

The frustrated Dancer clearly couldn’t handle Quaxly, their first meeting not leaving a good impression on either.

This made subsequent interactions between her and Quaxly difficult.

In brief.

Their relationship is at a standstill.

Dancer isn’t fond of the overly exuberant little thing and hasn’t carefully learned about its strengths; Quaxly also doesn’t listen to Dancer at all, running around once out of the ball.

”Ah... how interesting, the treasure wind is strong indeed.”

Baimu rubbed his chin; he always enjoys watching these newcomer growth stories.

Especially the scenes of Dancer and Quaxly making peace.

He looks forward to it very much.
