Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 834: Chapter 537: Mega Swampert (Part 2)

Hydreigon was well aware that its trainer’s actions were correct; it wouldn’t be coquettish at such a time, nor would it allow its current state to miss out on the ultimate victory.

However.

Super Evolution is by no means unbeatable!

Baimu once said that the gains from Super Evolution can be supplemented by abilities gained through hard training!

In the distant Galar Region, the strongest champion there possesses the ability to take down a Super Evolution counterpart with a normal Charizard!

’One day...’

As it was collected into the red light, Hydreigon harbored a deep unwillingness in its heart.

”...”

Baimu looked at the calm Pokeball in his hand, not speaking, but gently placing it against his chest.

As the trainer who had raised his Pokémon from a young age, how could he not feel its intentions? Just by hearing the roar, he could grasp Hydreigon’s feelings.

’One day.’

’I will help you obtain power comparable to or even beyond the Dan Emperor’s Charizard.’

He silently mouthed the words, without the usual self-critique, but with a resolute determination to grow alongside Hydreigon, to continue the journey together.

In the distance.

Mikoli’s voice gradually came.

”Lord Baimu, as a member of the Glazed People, I am truly eager to witness the strength that you, as a Meteor People, can display.”

”It’s an honor... Please keep your eyes on us!”

Baimu said no more and took the Pokeball from his waist, throwing it forward.

Boom!

”Roar~”

Aggron landed, its heavy silver armor gleaming spectacularly under the lights.

It gazed calmly at Swampert.

In an instant.

Swampert’s expression shifted from initial composure to deep solemnity.

The invisible momentum brewed into a sense of oppression between the two.

In the stands, Liuqia subconsciously slowed her breathing, and Adam’s gaze was firmly locked on the two Pokémon. Everyone knew that in the seemingly tranquil arena, a fierce storm had already been stirred.

At the center of the storm.

Were Baimu and Mikoli, gazing at each other.

However.

What seemed like a long pause was actually only a few seconds.

”Elegance of Water, transform into bonds!”

Mikoli placed the shining Key Stone between two fingers to his lips, speaking words of resonance with his Pokémon with bright eyes.

”...”

Baimu remained silent, holding the glowing pendant.

But the intense heartbeat consistently connected him and Aggron, as the chains of the soul twined together to form extraordinary power.

”Super Evolution!”

”Super Evolution!”

The dazzling chromatic light instantly engulfed both Pokémon, with astonishing changes occurring at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Liuqia watched the field excitedly, eagerly anticipating the upcoming battle.

The clash of Super Evolution against Super Evolution!

A perfect scene!

A song, unfamiliar yet steadily forming, gradually echoed in her mind.

In comparison, while Liuqia showed her excitement, Adam maintained his usual composure; but his right index finger tapping on his left arm betrayed that he wasn’t as calm as he appeared.

This Gym Battle.

The tension affected both the combatants and the spectators!

Moments later, the astonishing brilliance subsided.

Like a silver fortress, the giant beast stood proud, its watertight heavy armor gleaming more brilliantly, its originally steady demeanor now reminiscent of towering mountains, inducing a sense of peace.

Meanwhile.

The Swampert, which was once like a formidable rock in the sea, had now completely transformed into a muscular monster, its cheek pouches turning crimson and stretching like spears, with its raised back concealing terrifying strength.

It resembled an underwater volcano ready to erupt at any moment.

”Roar...”

Its momentum made Baimu’s hair stand on end.

In an official Gym Battle.

As far as he knew, only Korni, the Gym Leader of the Fighting Gym, and De Fu, the Ice Attribute Gym Leader, used Super Evolution Pokémon against challengers.

The former appeared for publicity, but the latter only after seeing Ash Ketchum’s Bond Evolving Greninja.

Now, as Mikoli actively brought out Swampert, just as he declared before the match, he had no intention of holding back.

If even a Gym Leader-tier Pokémon can only endure hits.

Then bring out a higher level!

This Pokémon selection method, seemingly unreasonable—

Is exactly to my liking!

”Let’s show the former Champion what we’re capable of!”

Baimu clenched his fist, the muffled roar of Mega Aggron echoing beside him as Mikoli across the way lifted his gaze.

Both sides nearly simultaneously issued commands.

”Iron Wall!”

”Rain Seeking!”

Silvery light shimmered across Mega Aggron’s body surface, turning thick and dark.

Clouds gathered in the sky.

Soft rain descended upon the battlefield, not particularly large but sufficiently complex, as Mega Swampert raised its head to roar.

The Free and Easy trait was triggered, making its heavy body suddenly light.

Undoubtedly.

Both sides started with the best commands, fully prepared for defense and attack.

Mikoli took a deep breath.

”Hiss—”

In the pool, Mega Swampert pulled back its right fist, like a giant crossbow string drawn tight to the extreme.

The orange-red airbags on its back and arms all opened, and the sharp hissing accompanied by the influx of milky white air made it abnormally swollen!

The next moment.

”Water Flow Rupture!”

”Ragu!”

Boom!

The water surface exploded, shooting up several meters high.

Mega Swampert’s massive body transformed into a phantom shadow, crossing a great distance in a blink, appearing before Mega Aggron like a flash.

The right fist covered in azure blue waves enlarged constantly before the latter, resembling slow motion yet completely unavoidable.

Heavy hammer—direct rush!!

Boom!

With an ear-splitting blast, the azure blue water shattered!

White mist from condensed water vapor soared through the air!

In the audience seats.

Liuqia couldn’t help but breathe rapidly; no matter how many times she watched, from whatever angle, the ferocity of Mega Swampert in the rain always shook her to the core.

What a terrifying strike!

She couldn’t possibly imagine what kind of Pokémon could withstand such a fierce attack; if it were Xiao Qingqing—

”Ah!”

Liuqia’s exclamation stuck in her throat, yet it didn’t stop her eyes from trembling as she looked towards the field, towards the silver beast standing firm despite the dissipating white mist.

”Sss—”

Large clouds of white smoke spewed behind Mega Swampert’s right fist’s airbag, as if cooling it down.

Drizzling rain trailed down its cheeks but couldn’t hide its astonished expression.

”Ragu...”

The heavy punch, after expelling air, capable of smashing boulders, couldn’t even push Mega Aggron back half a meter.

The opponent merely slightly tilted its head, looking at it with a condescending gaze.

This cannot be!

Faced with such an extraordinary scene, even Mikoli, confident as he was, had his expression frozen for a moment.

After all, not even Da Wu would dare claim Metagross could withstand that punch.

Who would have thought Mega Aggron not only faced it head-on but remained completely unmoved!

”That’s the stark reality, Mr. Mikoli.”

Baimu calmly spoke in a low voice.

He didn’t expect the opponent to hear his unconscious arrogant words; Mega Swampert’s punch was indeed terrifying, but there were more terrifying things in the world.

For example—

The toughest Defense Power!

”Guho...”

Mega Aggron breathed white vapor from its nostrils, silently sweeping over the large fist nestled against its left cheek, its azure blue eyes landing on Mega Swampert in front, filled with mockery and displeasure.

Is this your attack?

Is this the punch you’ve braced for all this time, spraying water and air, then swung?

—Utterly boring!

”Guho!”

Mega Aggron’s eyes sparked a hint of anger, its mouth quickly gathering silvery light, launching it at the nearby Mega Swampert!

”Cannon Light Cannon!”

The thick silver beam pierced through rain and air, striking the pond to send water splashing skyward!

Lung!

Mega Aggron watched the sky, as Mega Swampert used its arms and back airbags to spray air, escaping the splash, letting out a colossal roar, echoing through the hall!

”Guho!!”

Face me! Attack me!

Show your strength—defeat me!!
