Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 818: Chapter 530: Ancient Donphan! (Part 2)

”Wait a minute! What?”

Baimu was stunned, staring incredulously at the light screen with wide-open eyes.

Chinese Restaurant!

The term ”Chinese” here is different from the Japanese term ”China.” It is unique to his former homeland in a past life.

But he quickly calmed down, realizing this actually didn’t mean much. In this world, there could be things like woks, tofu, the Come and Come Pavilion, so what’s the big deal about a restaurant named after China?

Even though in this current world of his, he hadn’t heard of any region based on China, perhaps such a place exists in a parallel world?

No big deal.

He gave an ”everything’s fine” look to the amazed Aggron beside him and watched as the screen showed the Dancer discovering Hai Dai, who was stir-frying fresh seafood.

[You hear from the diners that Hai Dai is the chef of ”Wave Flavor,” a seafood restaurant]

The Dancer seemed a bit tempted, and Hai Dai, who intended to directly assign a task—a stout, broad-waisted man with a full beard, a blue apron, and a bald head—suddenly had a big laughing expression on his face.

She enjoyed a passionate treat from Hai Dai.

After eating and drinking to her heart’s content.

The Dancer was tasked with a small trial to procure a rare ingredient from the Ziqin Town market.

”Wow, you can even get students to run errands?”

Baimu clicked his tongue but understood that given the hospitality Hai Dai showed the Dancer, it was only reasonable to run an errand for him.

Thus.

The Dancer left Cascarrafa City, guided by a map to cross the Alfornada Desert toward the coastal Ziqin Town.

However, for someone with limited travel experience like the Dancer, crossing a desert, such a uniquely challenging environment, wasn’t easy.

Understandably, even with a map and compass, she still got lost somewhere in the desert.

[Even though you proceed in the direction indicated by the map and compass, you consistently deviate from the path, confusing you greatly]

”That’s how deserts are.”

Baimu nodded in agreement. If it weren’t for Porygon II on his phone constantly reminding him of the direction, he might not have made it through either.

Fortunately, the Alfornada Desert isn’t particularly large, and after being lost for a while, the Dancer quickly found a landmark she could use as a reference—

A dilapidated watchtower.

[You excitedly hugged the Tsareena and spontaneously danced a lively jig with it]

Tsareena was the only Pokémon in the Dancer’s team that could somewhat handle the desert climate. The dryness and heat from the sun were unbearable even for Brother Ya, and the small size of the Oricorio made it easy for it to get stuck in the sand and disappear.

Only Tsareena’s long legs could navigate the difficulties.

”Starting to dance again... Is there a new Pokémon joining the team?” Baimu noticed that dancing wasn’t accelerating anything, realizing that a new Pokémon was about to arrive.

However, after searching around, he didn’t find any sign of a wild Pokémon.

Suddenly.

[Boom!]

The screen shook violently, as the Dancer and Tsareena were suddenly lifted off the ground. It seemed some kind of explosion had occurred nearby.

[You exchanged a glance with Tsareena and decided to go take a look]

Baimu was also curious, ”An explosion in the desert, what kind of wild Pokémon... whoa?”

He rubbed his eyes.

In the scene, a massive armored mammoth-like creature was charging through the desert with astonishing momentum, making even Wailord seem somewhat inferior in comparison.

Nearby, a heap of collapsed rubble attracted attention.

[You think the explosion sound just now was likely from it colliding with the rocks]

”Donphan? But Donphan doesn’t have such long horns... and Donphan’s back doesn’t have so many red spikes.”

Baimu suddenly recalled a past promotional video that featured a type of Pokémon known as Paradox Pokémon, among which was one resembling Donphan.

It was referred to by players as Donphan·Ancient Form, and corresponding to it was another Donphan·Future Form, resembling a mechanical creature.

But beyond that, he hadn’t had the chance to play the game and didn’t really know—

Are all Paradox Pokémon this enormous?

No.

This seems to be another concept called Treasure Master...

Baimu frowned deeply, with Porygon II informing him that there was nothing about Treasure Master or Paradox Pokémon on the internet.

All hidden away?

In the simulation, the Dancer didn’t dare approach the colossal creature, she wasn’t foolish; a Pokémon that size could crush her in a heartbeat, likely with just a slight movement.

She wasn’t the type to rush at a powerful wild Pokémon like some hot-blooded fool.

Yet, just as she was about to turn away, Tsareena pointed to a distant pile of rocks.

[Your Tsareena seems to have spotted a Pokémon under the debris]

A buried Pokémon?

The Dancer hesitated for only a brief moment.

It was evident that someone with a kind-hearted personality wouldn’t stand by idly in such a situation, despite the potential risk involved.

[You quietly approached, seizing the opportunity as the wild Pokémon remained unaware of you, quickly teamed up with Tsareena to move the rocks]

In order not to catch the attention of the Paradox Donphan, the Dancer didn’t even call upon Quaquaval.

The atmosphere was somewhat tense.

Baimu suddenly felt his heart racing, accompanied by some kind of suspenseful plot background music playing—

What?

Was it really happening?

He quickly looked around, realizing that a TV drama not far away was indeed playing a similar scene, with Mawile and the others watching tensely clenching little fists.

”Ah...”

Baimu smirked, then looked back at the simulation, finding that the Dancer was holding something white and shiny like an egg thief, chased by the Paradox Donphan.
