Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 809: Chapter 526: Gentle Duck Boy

The dancer’s life is very monotonous.

The most frequent scenes, apart from sitting in the classroom attending lectures and getting lost staring out at the blue sky and white clouds, is returning to the dormitory alone to dance after class.

She has no friends or rivals, and rarely interacts with Quaxly, fully embodying an introverted personality.

But it must be said.

She truly loves dancing, and every time she changes into her dance dress, she quickly immerses herself in the moment, completely unaware when Quaxly goes from causing havoc to quietly hiding and watching.

[Only when you dance freely do you feel you are truly free]

It’s just like an Indian movie.

Baimu rested his chin on his hand, unable to help but compare her to Miniskirt.

And then he realized this girl... is both similar to and completely different from Miniskirt.

Miniskirt is an outlier on campus because her personality and goals cannot accept the slow-paced life of the school. But she knows exactly what she wants, so when she finds a path, she immediately takes action.

But the dancer is still stuck in dissatisfaction with her situation, unwilling to become a Trainer and unable to resist her family’s arrangements, as if rebelliously rejecting to find a solution.

In simple terms, it’s two words—

Give up.

The many acceleration scenes on the light screen prove it all.

[You muddily went through the first week at Orange Academy]

Baimu propped up his chin, curious about how much longer it would take for the dancer to accept the facts. Surely, she won’t reach the blue simulation without collecting her first badge?

At this moment.

The scene moves to the student cafeteria.

The dancer, as always, enjoys Padia’s specialty food alone—a genuine long sandwich. Two pixelated figures passing by intentionally or unintentionally bump into her.

Causing the sandwich to slip and fall.

[You look at the sandwich on the ground, then at the two who bumped into you, realizing they merely laughed without apologizing, silently packed up, and left]

”Hey...”

Baimu slightly raised his eyebrows, was the old-school campus plot coming?

The follow-up unfolded just as he expected.

Bored troublemakers picking on the small, invisible kids is always one of the main themes of school life.

Those two seemed to have found a new toy, gradually starting to taunt the unresisting dancer in all sorts of ways, like suddenly tapping her, loudly mocking a part of her body, messing up her desk and shoe cabinet, etc.

As childish as it gets.

[You try hard to ignore their nasty jokes, only to find it worsens]

[You want to tell the teacher, but hesitate due to lack of solid evidence, and fear the class teacher might side with the two more familiar students]

Sentimental, huh...?

I’m sure I chose kind-hearted.

Baimu looked at the dancer on the light screen hiding in the dorm room weeping, for the first time feeling that even in Pokémon World, eleven is still just a child.

Not all simulated subjects have firm will, or a constantly positive, optimistic attitude.

If this goes on, a dropout scenario might unfold.

However.

Baimu and she both seemed to forget she wasn’t alone in the dormitory.

[Tap~ Tap~ Tap~]

[You suddenly hear a familiar beat, unconsciously look up, and the scene in front of you astonishes you]

The Quaxly the dancer never paid attention to is now confidently looking at her, performing a dance she’s very familiar with.

[Tap~ Tap~ Tap~]

The time spent quietly observing had allowed this cool little duck to master it perfectly.

Sometimes fierce like a storm, sometimes gentle like a breeze.

Step by step.

The dancer becomes captivated, stops crying, and instinctively responds to the rhythm, soon getting up to join Quaxly.

[As if venting your emotions, you dance with Quaxly with abandon]

What an adorable scene.

Baimu looked at the various movements of the pixelated figure and pixelated Pokémon, feeling it instantly turned from an Indian movie to a musical... a children’s version, though it lacked music, making it seem like watching a silent film.

Before long.

The dancer and Quaxly stopped dancing.

[You pant in exhaustion, unable to help looking strangely at Quaxly, while the latter looks at you with utmost seriousness]

[Quack!]

Quaxly raised its little wings, a cloud-shaped bubble popping above its head.

[...]

The dancer remained silent.

[You realize Quaxly is encouraging you, even though you never cared about or noticed it. But seeing you cry, Quaxly stood up without hesitation, giving you warmth in the way you love most]

[Your heart was greatly moved]

Oh wow! This is good!

Baimu, used to stories of Trainers saving Pokémon hearts, was thrilled to see a Pokémon touch a Trainer’s heart for a change.

What made him happier was that the dancer finally came around.

[You decide to find the principal tomorrow to tell him everything you encountered]

The dancer reaches out to hold Quaxly’s little wing, a smiling emoticon appearing above her head, with Quaxly returning the smile.

Worried the class teacher might side with them, so directly reporting to the higher-ups?

That’s fine.

Better than doing nothing!

Indeed, Pokémon always brings courage and strength.

Baimu lay sideways on the Hydreigon lying nearby, finding a more comfortable position.

But he never expected.

The scene shifted.

Before the dancer could find the principal and expose everything, those two troublemakers came running to apologize, saying they were jealous of her appearance and bullied her because she seemed easy to pick on.

[You and Quaxly look at the tearful classmates, momentarily not knowing what to do]
