Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 816: Chapter 529: Another Exam!?_2

[You received a call from the administration office, informing you that you can learn more subjects, so you decided to return to school]

Eh?

They’re even doing this? Gotta go back to school?

Baimu truly didn’t expect the number of courses at Orange Academy would be linked to the number of Gym Badges, and through the narration, he learned that the school actually has exams, even mid-term exams.

He watched the dancer hurry back to school, not accepting invitations for battles or picnics from any elderly on the way.

And on campus.

The dancer seemed to become some kind of celebrity, stared at even while walking on the street.

[You learn from a somewhat close classmate that Qi Shu’s live broadcast made you a rising star in the school]

Even before the storm kicked up, the dancer was actually known by many people. Her outstanding performance at the Brewlight Gym instantly made her an idol envied and admired by many.

It sounds crazy to think that two badges could gain such admiration, but that’s the reality.

[You smiled and politely rejected the request from someone wanting to learn dance from you, indicating that you’re busy with classes and exams for now]

The dancer’s dance attracted many, so students frequently requested to learn from her.

According to the narration, she was tempted but considering her dance skills weren’t particularly exceptional, and given she was just a busy student, she refused.

”This is just like the Dragon King returning!”

Baimu couldn’t help but complain that the dancer’s current situation was akin to returning home in glory.

Originally, during the storm, most classmates in the simulated scene kept their distance from the dancer, but after her journey, she directly became the ”school flower” admired by everyone.

Can this count as a slap in the face?

He couldn’t figure it out, but he was happy that the dancer wasn’t lost in the praise of others.

Her purpose of returning was very clear: attending class, taking exams.

The simulator didn’t mention how many courses there were at Orange Academy, but judging from the dancer’s shuttle between various classrooms and examination halls, there should be quite a few.

Heavy coursework...

[You finally completed your mid-term exams, your excellent grades earning a lot of praise from the teachers]

The dancer was undoubtedly a good student; perhaps relying a bit on Quaquaval in battles, but her academics were solely achieved by herself.

The events at Brewlight Gym also helped her learn more about Pokémon battles, avoiding such mistakes again.

Baimu noticed that almost every teacher who saw her would have small red hearts or thumbs up, indicating that the dancer was far ahead of even him who hadn’t finished literacy class.

The scene shifted.

The dancer was standing in front of Steenee, enveloped by blue light.

[You learned a lot from the battle teacher—Huang Bo, which made you and your Pokémon stronger]

[Your Steenee evolved into Tsareena]

Progress is swift...

Baimu had gotten used to the dancer’s rapid growth.

Originally, Steenee could only spin in circles, but under the teachings of the dancer and her two professional ”dance partners”, it successfully mastered some dances, leading to a new form.

After completely settling in, the dancer cheerfully left campus.

She could’ve enjoyed the adulation of her classmates for a while longer, but having a vague sense of direction, she decided to head for the third badge.

This time she was headed to South Zone Two, aiming for Cortondo Town.

Being the town closest to Mesagoza, according to the narration, this was generally the first choice of Gym for students.

But the dancer was initially searching for the Celestial Star Team, causing her to challenge now.

Nevertheless.

Though nearby, the dancer didn’t underestimate Cortondo Gym Leader Afeng, and followed her usual strategy of interacting and battling with classmates of various ages along the way, inquiring about their views on the Celestial Star Team, and collecting information about the Gym.

After some ventures, the dancer’s Pokémon grew, the information was updated, and she made more new friends.

Triple win!

Due to Gym Leader Afeng using Bug-type Pokémon, the dancer switched Oricorio’s form back to the sizzling hot style.

[You passed through Olive Grand Farm, one of Padia’s ten scenic spots]

[You arrived at Cortondo Town]

Cortondo Town is surrounded by mountains, a peaceful quiet town with expansive fields instead of dense forests.

The good environment led residents to plant a considerable number of olive trees here.

The dancer completed her registration at the front desk.

Gym Leader Afeng is a voluptuous woman wearing a pastry chef’s outfit, and she also runs a renowned pastry shop throughout Padia, which thrilled the dancer.

She loves sweets and never worries about burning calories due to dancing.

[You decided to visit Afeng’s pastry shop after the competition]

This little test for her was pushing a gigantic olive constructed of balloons, which was quite heavy and timed, making it challenging.

However, for the dancer with excellent stamina and explosive power from dancing, it was nothing.

She even broke the record for pushing the olive to its designated spot.

[You inexplicably felt somewhat happy]

Little test passed.

The formal Gym Battle began shortly.

Perhaps out of attribute compatibility considerations, the dancer opened with Oricorio, and upon Afeng releasing Lokix—a Pokémon with a resemblance to Masked Rider, she immediately underwent Great Crystal Transformation.

The Fire Attribute Oricorio transformed into a war god, even if Afeng unleashed the strength of a third gym, but under Oricorio’s Fire Attribute [Awakening Dance], it couldn’t put up much resistance.

Lokix, Spidops, and even Forretress were all knocked down overwhelmingly.

It wasn’t until Ursaring took the stage that it relied on [Ten Thousand Horsepower] to finally end the Great Crystal-transformed Oricorio, whose firepower from the transformation was too exaggerated.

Baimu admired through the screen; his team desperately needed such an attack enhancement method.

[You released Quaquaval]

Brother Ya stepped out as the finisher, whether intentionally or not, Afeng insisted on having Ursaring undergo Great Crystal Transformation as well.

Making it Bug Attribute, it fought with Continuous Slash against Quaquaval.

No doubt about it.

It couldn’t touch Quaquaval.

As the Pokémon the dancer had relied on all along, Quaquaval’s growth was exceptional, having become ”unfathomable” ever since its final evolution; narration indicates that it often receives praise from battle teacher Huang Bo.

A standard Flowing Water Spin Dance ended it.

[You defeated Cortondo Gym Leader Afeng, winning the Cortondo Badge]

The dancer happily stored away her third badge, and while she humbly accepted Gym Leader Afeng’s praise, she was quite unreserved when faced with the pastries Afeng made.

It was the first time Baimu saw the dancer show such interest outside of dancing, and he couldn’t help but glance at a faraway Mawile.

Their preferences seemed to be cut from the same mold.

In the scene.

Quaquaval also seemed somewhat awed by the trainer, watching from afar as the dancer, Oricorio, and Tsareena enjoyed their desserts, with a hint of not daring to approach.

After satisfying her cravings.

The dancer followed Afeng’s recommendation to head to Cascarrafa City to meet her mentor Hai Dai, not in battle but culinary arts.

[You are quite looking forward to Hai Dai’s cooking skills]

She enthusiastically set off towards West District One.

However.

During conversations with students along the way, the dancer learned that West District One recently experienced disturbances from the Celestial Star Team.

[You consider whether you might see Melok again, though knowing you can’t help them, you still can’t resist moving towards them]

The dancer traced the clues to a spot at the foot of a mountain.

Like last time, she was intercepted by two students with an ”edgy” aura, riding Cyclizar, wearing star sunglasses and motorcycle helmets.

[You hear them asking about your intentions, you first introduce yourself, then express that you want to meet Melok]

There’s nothing wrong with the dancer’s response.

The problem was the Celestial Star Team she found this time isn’t Wang Liang’s Fourth Squad, and having gone through the last Kousha invasion story, not explaining clearly led Melok to still consider her a traitor and informed other members.

Thus.

The dancer was attacked.

[You saw the Celestial Star Team member sending out Pokémon to attack, loudly claiming to be ”Gedao Squad Two”, feeling somewhat at a loss]
