Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 819: Chapter 530: Ancient Donphan!_3

However, the Paradox Pokémon, Donphan, did not chase for long, seeming to guard something, and stopped far away.

[You look at the badly injured Larvesta in your arms, and breathe a deep sigh of relief]

Whoa! Larvesta!

Is this something you can just pick up randomly?

Baimu remembers Larvesta as a fairly rare Pokémon in the animations, and in the game... except for version exclusives, the other two of the Three Families and the Divine Beasts, there really aren’t many Pokémon considered rare.

But the dancer didn’t seem to care much about Larvesta’s value, instead swiftly leaving the desert and heading to the Pokémon Center to heal it.

During this time, she ran to Ziqin Market, from where she bought the precious seasoning Hai Dai needed—

Golden Seaweed from Alola.

Hai Dai buying seaweed... hmm... very fitting, seafood dishes do indeed require the broth of seaweed for flavoring, nothing wrong with that.

By the time she returned to the Pokémon Center, Larvesta was almost fully recovered, only needing some time to rest quietly, and the dancer naturally took on the responsibility of caring for it.

[You comfort Larvesta, dancing for it]

Oh my.

It’s over.

Baimu knows very well that once the dancer starts dancing, Larvesta is sure to be captivated, and indeed,

when Larvesta reached the conditions for release, the little creature decisively followed the dancer out of the door. Pokémon chase humans for many reasons, gratitude and admiration being among them.

[You caught Larvesta, adding an immature dance partner]

What? Larvesta is also a dance partner?

How does it dance?

Will it dance Butterfly Dance after evolving? Seems like there’s no dance style like that... but thinking it through, it might actually be possible.

With the new partner joining the team, Quaquaval and other Pokémon were naturally very happy, and they held a dance party exclusive to them.

Larvesta can’t dance, only awkwardly swaying along, yet it’s cute enough.

Back to Cascarrafa City.

Hai Dai and the dancer begin their Gym challenge.

The battle takes place on the bottom floor in Cascarrafa City, attracting many onlookers, but the dancer wasn’t as nervous as before.

First round begins.

Hai Dai uses Wugtrio, a Pokémon that looks quite similar to Diglett but is actually entirely different in species.

The dancer sends out Oricorio, transformed into the ”Baile Style,” effortlessly taking it down with the Electric-type Awakening Dance.

Wugtrio barely had any chance to retaliate.

The subsequent Pelipper fared similarly, with its quadruple weakness to Electric-type, unable to escape from Oricorio, both being flying Pokémon.

The third Pokémon, Veluza, finally made a comeback.

This guy seemed like a Psychic Attribute Pokémon, so despite being a fish, it could freely ”swim” on land, though why it doesn’t suffer from oxygen deficiency remains a mystery.

What puzzled Baimu even more was this creature could use a move called ”Shaking Off Fat,” turning itself into a fishbone-like appearance, greatly increasing speed and Dual Attack, its appearance becoming extremely terrifying, giving him quite a scare.

Only after checking online did he learn that Veluza’s meat is similar to the bananas under Tropius’s neck, and the palms of Crabominable, belonging to the rapidly regenerating parts.

And they’re edible.

”Pokémon’s eccentric designs... which designer came up with this?” Baimu muttered with a black line on his face.

Ultimately, this bizarre Veluza and Oricorio ended in a draw, both losing the ability to fight.

Only Veluza’s defeat was due to —

[You hear Hai Dai mention Veluza fainted from oxygen deficiency and promptly took it to the distant fountain, uncertain of what to say]

Turns out you still couldn’t breathe on land!

I thought you were amphibious!

Baimu was completely taken aback.

Hai Dai’s last Pokémon, Crabominable.

Not a Water-type Pokémon, but clearly he would use the Great Crystal Pearl to transform it into a Water-type.

The dancer chose to send out Tsareena in response, and likewise, unleashed the Great Crystal Transformation trump card, inciting a battle between a Great Crystal Grass and a Great Crystal Water Pokémon.

However, Crabominable, being a Fighting plus Ice-type Pokémon’s advantages wouldn’t change, mostly specializing in Ice Attribute Techniques, causing Tsareena quite a bit of trouble.

Initially, it went like this.

But later, as Tsareena’s Tropical Kick repeatedly hit, repeatedly reducing Crabominable’s Physical Attack, and Photosynthesis frequently recovering health, the initially very effective Ice Attribute Techniques gradually became ineffective.

Upon witnessing this, the dancer immediately instructed Tsareena to press the attack, swiftly wrapping up with a powerful lash to completely take down Crabominable.

”This battle style is exactly like the SM Queen at a dance party...”

Baimu clicked his tongue secretly.

Each of the dancer’s Pokémon has a different battle style, influenced by the dances they love and their personality, and Tsareena belongs to that high-and-mighty queenly style in a dance party.
