Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 524: Chapter 524: Do You Want to Try My Intermediate Healing?

Golden Light Arrows formed between the bowstrings, and Iyas released the ”Split Arrow,” hitting two priests that had turned into the Living Dead.

When Iyas’ Holy Light struck the enemy, it not only ignored ”50% Damage Reduction,” but it also dealt 200% damage, knocking them to the ground.

But this was merely a drop in the bucket; more of the Living Dead charged at Yang Yu, who didn’t have Iyas’ ability to double damage against Dark attribute enemies. The ”50% Damage Reduction” was enough to give him a hard time.

To make matters worse, Bai Jin’s ”Ghost Shadow Formation” was about to dissipate.

Once the ”Ghost Shadow Formation” disappeared, the enemies originally restrained by it would swarm over Yang Yu and his companions.

”Bai Jin, get ready for the next large-scale magic, and launch another attack before the ’Ghost Shadow Formation’ fades. He Meng, you take care of protecting Bai Jin for now.”

As Bai Jin used magic to finish off the enemy, she nodded and took out a Fairy’s Magic Stone from her embrace, seriously considering which magic to use next.

He Meng stayed by her side, transforming his fists to the size of sandbags and pounding anyone who approached into submission, which was quite reassuring.

Yang Yu switched from offense to defense, using his sword and shield to guard, while nearby, Iyas continued to take down the long-range Living Dead magic priests with her bow and arrows.

”Iyas, don’t you have a skill named ’Holy Punishment’? How come I remember you learned it but never used it?

I’ll take down living priests. Try alternating between ’Light Arrow’ and ’Holy Punishment.’ Whip the corpses after I knock down the priests, and if you can prevent their resurrection, keep them from coming back.

If that doesn’t work, then deal with the reanimated priests before turning to the rest.”

Receiving Yang Yu’s commands, Iyas seemed troubled and found it hard to express, ”The reason I haven’t used that skill is that I haven’t fully mastered it...”

”What do you mean by not having mastered it?”

”Look!”

Iyas attempted to use ”Holy Punishment,” but instead of striking the enemy in a straight line, it spiraled wildly in front of her like a whirlpool.

Such a skill was not only impractical for attacking, but its use was comically pathetic.

Thus, Iyas had never deployed this skill, pretending she had forgotten she ever learned it.

Seeing Iyas’ execution of ”Holy Punishment,” Yang Yu let out a long sigh, realizing the road ahead for Iyas to become a qualified Priest was a long one.

Once they got to the elf village, she would definitely need to learn how to properly wield Holy Light.

”Can you then use pure Holy Light to attack? Pure Holy Light does have bonus damage against Demons and the Undead Race.”

Iyas hesitated but finally spoke, ”I can try; I’ve been practicing a new Holy Light Skill recently.

Of course, I’m also working hard to learn Healing Skills. I feel if I put a little more effort into it, I should be able to learn ’Intermediate Healing,’ perhaps I’ve got a bit of a grasp on it already.

You’re quite injured; want to try my ’Intermediate Healing’?”

”I refuse!” Yang Yu rejected outright. If he dared to use it, the pain might kill him, or if not, he would lose his will to fight, like a lifeless fish, ”I’d rather not use your amateur Holy Light, at least not until you eliminate the unbearable side effects. For now, try using that immature skill you mentioned.

Aim for that Living Dead Priest over there!”

”Received.”

To quickly master a skill, actual combat was the best training.

”May the goddess bless us!”

With a prayer, Iyas drew her bow, and a golden glow flashed upon the arrow; it was not the effect of ”Light Arrow”, but the Holy Light Skills Iyas had been secretly practicing.

Behind her, wings made of Holy Light formed,

”Heavenly Feather”

Iyas released the bowstring, and feathers of Holy Light followed the trajectory of her arrow, striking the priests swallowed by darkness and briefly resurrected.

The glorious Heavenly Feathers instantly wiped out a huge chunk of the blood bars of the Living Dead Priests, ushering them into eternal slumber.

Yang Yu was aware of the ”Heavenly Feather” skill; it was on the list of skills he wanted Iyas to learn.

”Heavenly Feather”, firing a volley of feathers made of Holy Light, caused damage and also increased the movement speed by 20% for allies following the feather trails.

Yang Yu wanted to take advantage of this skill before it ended to finish off the enemy, but he found that the trail left by Iyas’s Holy Light feathers only increased speed by about 1%.

No wonder it was said the skill wasn’t complete... Skills learned on one’s own seemed to need to meet a minimum standard to appear on someone’s skill list.

Even though Iyas’s ”Heavenly Feather” was only half-baked, it still counted as a barely usable Holy Light AOE, and they had to make do.

Swiftly adjusting his position, Yang Yu aimed his attack at another enemy within the Ghost Shadow Formation.

Just then, a pair of small hands made of spiritual body stretched out from beneath Yang Yu’s feet, while two larger hands reached down from the sky to strike at him.

Luckily, Yang Yu’s reflexes were quick, and with a backward leap, he dodged the attack.

However, Tu Jing transformed into a ram-horned demon took a deep breath, his belly bulging like a toad’s, and then unleashed ”Sharp Howl”.

A fierce shockwave slammed into Yang Yu, who raised his shield, but the makeshift shield couldn’t ward off the powerful sound wave, and Yang Yu was violently thrown against a tree.

He took over a thousand points of massive damage, and his defenses were shattered in the process.

If Tu Jing and Kenro kept using their skills in combination like this, Yang Yu wouldn’t be able to rely on his excellent positioning to dodge any longer.

What was worse, Bai Jin and Iyas were also affected by Tu Jing’s ”Sharp Howl”.

Although protected by He Meng, they were hardly injured, they too had their defenses broken by the skill.

”Yang Yu, fall back a little!”

After much thought, Bai Jin decided to use ”Black Thunder Surge”, a powerful AOE that hadn’t been used in a long time and didn’t distinguish between friend or foe.

Chanting the magic spell, another Fairy’s Magic Stone turned to dust in Bai Jin’s hand.

The Bright Moon was in the sky, but vast black clouds completely obscured the moonlight, casting a shadow over the forest.

Kenro felt an indescribable fear from Bai Jin’s magic and tried to use ”Night Parade of Hundred Demons” again, but once more found himself in the embarrassing situation of being unable to gather the magic power in the air.

Tu Jing’s gaze remained fixed on Yang Yu, ignoring the black clouds as he stood up and approached Yang Yu.
