Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 512: Chapter 512: You, Truly a Great Genius

Yang Yu wiped his sword with his hand, and the blade remained sharp, without anything sticking to it. This meant that Zuixiang. Pu Tao had completely relied on brute force to trap his sword.

Once again stabilizing his stance, Zuixiang. Pu Tao was seething with anger. Who knew Yang Yu’s attack would follow closely behind? This time, a slash with a red glow on his hand and an orange glow on his sword.

Zuixiang. Pu Tao was forced into defense, his arms transforming into grapevines and weaving into a Big Net in front of him, firmly catching Yang Yu’s sword.

Zuixiang. Pu Tao glared at Yang Yu, ”Can’t you wait a moment for me to finish speaking?”

”What’s there to say? You want to narrate, don’t you have Time Stop?”

”Time Stop? I don’t have such an ability. What I wanted to tell you is that I’ve already discovered the secret of your Skill!”

Zuixiang. Pu Tao put strength into his hands, flicking away Yang Yu’s sword. Yang Yu actively retreated a few steps, raising his sword to face Zuixiang. Pu Tao,

”What exactly is the secret?”

Zuixiang. Pu Tao smiled wickedly, crossing his arms and looking more disdainful, ”Your attack power isn’t worth mentioning at all. You rely entirely on that strange Skill on your body. And those weird offensive Skills you have—they’re not based on your own Strength but on your opponent’s Strength, right?”

Yang Yu’s eyes spun, ”Oh? Is that so?”

”This will inevitably become your Achilles heel!” Zuixiang. Pu Tao’s smile radiated extreme confidence. ”As long as it can be dealt with, your two strange offensive Skills, along with that bizarre defensive Skill, are far from threatening.”

Helplessly sighing, Yang Yu relaxed his shoulders and for a moment actually didn’t know what to say.

”Hmph, hmph, hmph, I’ve hit the nail on the head, haven’t I? Hahaha! Once those strange Skills of yours are sealed, you’ll be utterly defenseless.”

Zuixiang. Pu Tao laughed loudly, pointing at Yang Yu, while Shihui Cactus, observing from the platform, tipped his hat and quietly cursed Zuixiang. Pu Tao for being an ”idiot.”

Anyone with a bit of insight could see the peculiarity of the three Skills Yang Yu had used in his last three matches.

This sand sculpture, Zuixiang. Pu Tao, actually thought he had seized the opportunity for victory and even ”revealed” it in front of everyone.

In an instant, Shihui Cactus felt that the Plant Clan’s face had been utterly lost by this guy. He resolved never to admit to splitting things fifty-fifty with him. Otherwise, he would surely be despised by those around.

If realizing it meant easy handling, he wouldn’t have been eliminated like that. Zuixiang. Pu Tao had yet to find the real problem from the beating he just received.

Hearing Zuixiang. Pu Tao say that, Yang Yu grinned wickedly in front of everyone, ”It’s just like you to discover that.”

This wicked grin was the result of Yang Yu struggling not to laugh out loud.

Yang Yu was always ready for the mechanics of his Skills to be seen through.

Unfortunately, in this world, Skills, if properly applied and adapted with usage methods, complemented by other Skills, could change unpredictably and be impossible to defend against.

Sealing them was completely impossible, unless one possessed a Skill capable of sealing other Skills.

Clearly, Zuixiang Pu Tao didn’t have it, otherwise he would have used it right from the start, why wait until he was beaten to the point where he couldn’t even take care of himself?

However, seeing someone else so full of confidence, Yang Yu naturally had to flatter him a bit.

If he could make Zuixiang Pu Tao become complacent, Yang Yu could sell a flaw, lure Zuixiang Pu Tao to the side of the Jiucai field, and kick him in the butt, disqualifying him.

”You’re so confident, I suddenly want to hear your strategy. If your strategy can completely neutralize my attack and defense, I’ll just admit defeat and save you some stamina for the finals!”

The members of the Plant Clan were speechless, Yang Yu’s intentions were too obvious, and with that scheming smile on his face, surely no one would fail to see he had ulterior motives, right?

Besides, Zuixiang Pu Tao had just been beaten so badly, he surely wouldn’t suddenly become blindly confident and spill all his strategies, would he?

But as the saying goes, the observer sees clear, the player is blind.

To Zuixiang Pu Tao, Yang Yu’s smirk became a look of disdain.

Today, he intended to tell Yang Yu every strategy he had come up with and defeat him elegantly, making him lose convincingly.

”Listen well, I’ll pass on a direct victory! Today, I’ll tell you my strategy! If you can beat me, I’ll be convinced completely!”

With that said, Zuixiang Pu Tao publicly shared his strategy with Yang Yu.

However, Zuixiang Pu Tao’s strategy wasn’t much different from what Yang Yu had imagined: using grapevines and the grapes he spat from his mouth to restrict Yang Yu, making his attacks hit the unimportant grapevines just like before, causing Yang Yu’s rare burst to be in vain, while he himself could take advantage of Yang Yu’s cooldown period to launch a fierce attack.

As for Yang Yu’s defensive skill named ”Shield Counter,” Zuixiang Pu Tao could grow grapes in his hands, too; just using those as a buffer, Yang Yu’s counterattack would not affect him.

After hearing this, Yang Yu immediately praised his expertise, saying he was very clever and suggested they put it to the test in an actual fight. If he really couldn’t overcome it, he would lose.

Zuixiang Pu Tao was naturally delighted, but soon burst into tears.

The duel resumed, with Yang Yu unilaterally initiating the attack, a dark force entering his sword blade. Zuixiang Pu Tao, as planned, conjured up grapevine tendrils to block.

Yang Yu unleashed a ”Sudden Killing Intent” and charged towards Zuixiang Pu Tao’s position. Zuixiang Pu Tao’s arms instantly turned into vines, attempting to block Yang Yu’s attack.

Unexpectedly, Yang Yu suddenly pulled back, sidestepped, and swung his sword at Zuixiang Pu Tao’s back.

Zuixiang Pu Tao turned around, his planted grape seeds sprouting instantly, vines growing to entangle Yang Yu’s feet and limit his movements, but Yang Yu cut them down one by one.

Yang Yu’s right hand emitted a red glow, charging the sword blade with an orange force. Drunk Pu Tao resorted to his strategy again, but Yang Yu used the same trick as before, withdrawing the halfway-swung sword blade, and striking from a different direction.

Zuixiang Pu Tao attempted to counterattack, slapping towards Yang Yu, who simply smiled slightly, raised his shield, and performed a ”Shield Counter,” sending a numbing shock through Zuixiang Pu Tao’s scalp.

The onlooking Plant Clan could only watch the duel as if they were watching Yang Yu play a monkey.

In the end, as everyone expected, an utterly exhausted Zuixiang Pu Tao was kicked by Yang Yu into the Jiucai field from behind.

Zuixiang Pu Tao lost, and far from sympathizing with him, the Plant Clan even felt a bit like laughing.
