Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 511: Chapter 511 Eating Grapes without Spitting out the Grape Skins

The black grape spiraled forward through the air like a pitch-black bullet, breaking through the barrier of the air.

Yang Yu swung his sword forward, initially assuming that the grape would bounce off his blade like a black stone. To his surprise, the sword easily sliced through the grape.

A majestic purple mist erupted from the grape, and the scent of wine instantly spread throughout the air. Yang Yu held his breath and leaped out of the purple mist.

He had just acquired the title ”Growing Bigger After Eating Mushrooms,” which came with an abnormal status that increased his Max HP.

However, before figuring out what effects the purple mist might bring, Yang Yu dared not willingly subject himself to this abnormal status.

Some abnormal statuses, once contracted, meant defeat.

Judging from the grape’s properties, the mist likely released by Zuixiang. Pu Tao’s black grapes was probably Alcohol Mist, which would almost certainly reduce accuracy and movement speed.

A lack of either would affect Yang Yu’s attack rhythm.

Indeed, as Yang Yu had deduced, Zuixiang. Pu Tao used fermented Wine Dregs Fruit to produce the mist, which was intensely aromatic. Those with little resistance to alcohol could become instantly dazed and slow upon deep inhalation.

The Wine Dregs Fruit appeared as tough as iron only because it was constantly bound by Zuixiang. Pu Tao’s Magic Power.

Zuixiang. Pu Tao had performed a ”repair operation” on this Wine Dregs Fruit, making it look no different from a small black iron ball, even handleless.

Attacks from the Plant Clan were all made from their own Magic Power, and naturally, the Plant Clan had some control over the plants they produced.

Zuixiang. Pu Tao could manipulate its grapes to burst at the desired moment, releasing Alcohol Mist.

In the Life Forest, home to the Plant Clan and various demons, to prevent these demons from encroaching on their territory, the Plant Clan not only stationed guards but also regularly cleared nearby demons to ensure the safety of their villages.

Securing the initiative in confrontations with demons was crucial.

Although Zuixiang. Pu Tao and Shihui Cactus differed in age and abilities, due to their long-standing positions, they had both developed similar yet distinctly different preliminary skills.

This was also one of the reasons why Zuixiang. Pu Tao always considered Shihui Cactus a formidable rival.

However, compared to Shihui Cactus’s painful blow needles, Zuixiang. Pu Tao’s preliminary skill was much gentler, capable of causing demons to be lost in intoxicated dreams.

Even without inhaling the alcohol vapors, mere contact with the mist could still slow someone down.

Watching Yang Yu becoming slightly sluggish, Zuixiang. Pu Tao revealed a wild and unrestrained smile and filled his mouth with bunches of grapes.

Eating grapes without spitting out the skins, Zuixiang. Pu Tao took a deep breath, and tiny grape seeds shot out like a machine gun towards Yang Yu.

Still slowed and facing the successive seed machine gun, Yang Yu raised his shield. The Illusion Shield extended from the shield as the seed machine gun rattled against it.

Yang Yu, braving the attacks from Zuixiang. Pu Tao, advanced towards him, blackness tinting his blade, as he struck at Zuixiang. Pu Tao with a sword.

Zuixiang Pu Tao didn’t back down but instead rushed towards Yang Yu’s Sword Blade, letting the sword pierce through his arm.

Yet, not a drop of blood was shed.

Zuixiang Pu Tao’s hand surprisingly transformed into grapevine, and Yang Yu’s sword was caught in the gaps of the vine.

The grapevine tightly intertwined and suddenly tightened, clutching Yang Yu’s sword firmly with Zuixiang Pu Tao’s grapelike arms.

Although Zuixiang Pu Tao didn’t possess strength as high as eight hundred, he had surpassed seven hundred. Although his defense was only slightly over three hundred, being able to manipulate part of his body to transform into grapevine also counted as an enhancement to his defensive power, proving to be quite troublesome.

Clearly, with the aid of ”Hunter” and ”Shadow Deception,” Yang Yu’s combined attack was supposed to inflict significant damage. In reality, Yang Yu only inflicted a mere two hundred points of damage on Zuixiang Pu Tao as most of the damage was dodged by the arms turned into vine branches.

The unused grape seeds were then sprayed out of Zuixiang Pu Tao’s mouth, and his other arm also transformed into vine branches, lashing out at Yang Yu.

Decisively abandoning his weapon, Yang Yu ducked, simultaneously dodging the barrage of grape seeds and the swinging arm, and landed a solid punch on Zuixiang Pu Tao’s abdomen.

Zuixiang Pu Tao stomped on the ground, causing it to crack instantly, trapping his foot inside, thereby stabilizing himself. Yang Yu’s punch didn’t make Zuixiang Pu Tao retreat even half a step, instead it provided Zuixiang Pu Tao with an opportunity.

Swinging his arm made of grapevine, Zuixiang Pu Tao activated the skill ”Long Whip Whip” and smashed it towards Yang Yu. Yang Yu seized the opportunity, ducked, and braced his shield.

”Shield Counter.”

Silver-white Shield was instantly covered with red spurs. The arm of Zuixiang Pu Tao, transformed into branch vine, smashed onto it, sending a surge of red electricity throughout Zuixiang Pu Tao’s body, striking his heart and causing it to skip a beat.

What exactly is this skill? Why did it feel like hitting thorns, and why did it still harm me even though my hand had turned into a plant?

Before Zuixiang Pu Tao could ponder further, Yang Yu touched the ground,

”Thorny Binding.”

Countless thorns sprouted around Zuixiang Pu Tao, climbing up his body like a grape trellis. Yang Yu, with his face against the ground, forcefully pushed with both hands while suddenly kicking Zuixiang Pu Tao’s body, causing him to stagger back.

Fortunately, Zuixiang Pu Tao’s foot embedded in the ground helped him, preventing him from moving much or falling, keeping him steadily within the arena.

Zuixiang Pu Tao never dreamt Yang Yu would so decisively abandon his weapon and launch such an attack. He couldn’t deny that Yang Yu indeed had some skill.

However, this cumbersome situation, Zuixiang Pu Tao assumed, was because he had underestimated Yang Yu after seeing him affected by the grape wine, becoming overly complacent.

His right hand reverted from grapevine back to normal, Zuixiang Pu Tao wiped the dripping grape juice from the corner of his mouth.

”You really are capable. I admit I underestimated you a bit...”

Before Zuixiang Pu Tao could finish speaking, he noticed Yang Yu had already risen from the ground, approaching him with both hands on the entangled sword, and kicked him in the stomach again, pulling out the sword.

Yang Yu’s movements flowed seamlessly, not offering Zuixiang Pu Tao any time to chatter.
