Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 520: Chapter 520: Is There Really No Problem?

Yang Yu’s utility knife gently tapped the dark blue sphere in his hand again, producing a ”ding—” sound.

”Why must the two of them die?”

A shock ran through Tu Jing’s heart, followed by a harsh, piercing laughter.

”The daughter of a traitor is still a traitor’s daughter, execution is the only rule that fits!

And that elf behind you, I can feel the thick Holy Light emanating from her, as nauseating as the Holy Maiden of the Goddess Sect.

Killing them is mandatory, non-negotiable.

As for you, you’re just a slightly more formidable adventurer, if you want to flee, I’d most certainly not stop you.

But if you dare to resist desperately, I’m willing to wait even if it takes over a decade.

The number of adherents in our Sect is continually growing, who knows, maybe another genius like that traitor will emerge.

By then, you turned into Spiritual Bodies, can only watch as we open the Abyss Gate, regretting you didn’t accept my terms.”

The gaunt nutcracker face kept releasing irritating laughter, Tu Jing spread his arms wide,

”This is my last act of mercy, hand that thing over to us! We’ll make your deaths a bit more pleasant.”

Facing the arrogant Tu Jing, Yang Yu appeared calm on the surface, but in his heart, he couldn’t wait to beat Tu Jing until he was searching for his teeth on the ground.

Although his initial goal was to put an end to him, Yang Yu had something he needed Tu Jing’s help with, and that was to remove the curse from Lotcar.

As the saying goes, the one who tied the bell must be the one to untie it.

The curse on Lotcar was cast by Tu Jing, and the one most likely to help Lotcar remove the curse quickly, was probably only him.

Even if it might cost him his position as Clan Leader, Lotcar had decided to risk it all to get the Racial Essence to himself.

To repay this debt of gratitude, he needed to proceed step by step and win this self-imposed gamble.

After much thought, Yang Yu would occasionally retract the blade of the utility knife and at other times push it forward, showing his indecision. Finally, he let out a sigh.

”Since you must kill them, then I have no choice but to stay. As team leader, I had promised to protect their safety.

If I couldn’t protect the two of them, I could only apologize with my death.

Let this giant wolf, Lotcar, along with the elf on his back, leave this place and return to the Silver Teeth Clan’s village.

You said you would allow three of us to live, I’ll give one spot back to you!

In exchange, lift the curse from Lotcar and swear not to harm the two of them!

Lotcar has his own family too, living life as a giant wolf, unable to return home and reunite with his family.

I don’t know why you protect someone else to become the Clan Leader of the Silver Teeth...

But it doesn’t matter, just help him remove the curse; once reunited with his family, he certainly wouldn’t want to defy you and would live well.”

After pondering for a moment, Tu Jing burst into a strange laughter again, ”Kekekekekekekeke! If this is your final request, I agree. But if you dare propose any other terms, don’t blame me for dealing with you first, and then going after them.”

When Tu Jing announced his decision, it immediately caused many priests to gape in astonishment.

There was a middleman-designated candidate for the Clan Leader within the Silver Fang Clan, and tonight was the critical night for choosing the Clan Leader. Here, it seemed pertinent to have Lotcar stay to ensure that everything went smoothly just in case.

But Tu Jing intended not just to let Lotcar escape; he even wanted to lift the curse from Lotcar.

Tu Jing’s thoughts were entirely different from those of the priests.

As long as the Demon Lord arrived in the Mortal World sooner, everything else was trivial.

The existence of the middleman was only to keep the war going, producing tons of Believers and continuously collecting negative Magic Power.

Once the Demon Lord truly arrived in the Mortal World, who cared about collecting Believers? At that time, the Believers would sprout up like chives, one batch after another.

And the fear brought by the Demon Lord was a powerful weapon inherently capable of absorbing negative Magic Power.

As long as the Demon Lord arrived, the middleman didn’t matter, the Silver Fang Clan didn’t matter, and all the other races mattered even less!

Tu Jing didn’t know if what Yang Yu said was true or false, but he chose to believe Yang Yu.

Better to be safe than sorry, Tu Jing still wanted to see the Demon Lord’s majestic presence before he died. To this end, as long as it didn’t exceed his tolerance limit and touch his bottom line, he was willing to give it a try.

If Yang Yu and his group dared to deceive him, he would ensure they were dead, handing their Spiritual Bodies over to Kenro for him to do as he pleased. Kenro would surely let the dead experience what real Hell was.

”This is my final request, I won’t ask for anything more.”

Yang Yu relaxed his shoulders, putting away the utility knife completely to show his sincerity. However, Yang Yu’s hands did not stray too far; if Tu Jing reneged, Yang Yu could still draw the utility knife for another act.

After the negotiation was over, a purple glow immediately appeared in Tu Jing’s hand, indicating he was all set and ready for Lotcar to come over and have the curse removed.

Lotcar gave Yang Yu a look that said, ”Is this really okay?”

Yang Yu just smiled and responded, ”If the Old Clan Chief hasn’t publicly announced it, you’re still the Clan Leader candidate. You have your business to attend to, so go ahead! Hake will be entrusted to you for now!”

Lotcar nodded, first letting go of Hake, who had been clutching his mane tightly, then he slowly approached Tu Jing.

As Tu Jing raised his hand, purple magic instantly enveloped Lotcar, injecting strange Magic Power into his body, which wasn’t originally Lotcar’s.

Pain erupted on Lotcar’s body in waves. Lotcar could feel something that had been binding him slowly being lifted, a sensation of indescribable relief.

”This curse is complex. I’ve unlocked several key points already, but complete removal will take time. Just wait patiently!” Tu Jing twisted his head to look at Yang Yu, ”Do you want to see his posture after the curse is lifted? Do you want to confirm whether the curse on him has been resolved or not? I’ll give you some time.”

Seeing the Binding Demon Curse icon on Lotcar begin to flash, Yang Yu shook his head,

”I trust you, Bishop. Let them go! They have to hurry to the Silver Fang Clan’s Full Moon Festival ceremony and battle. It would be bad if they’re delayed. Once he’s far enough away, I’ll naturally give you the item.”

Tu Jing scoffed, letting the purple light fade from Lotcar’s body,

”Go on, little puppy!

Heh, no matter if you go there, you can’t change anything. If you truly want to change something, that can only depend on the power of the Demon Lord.

With that body you just recovered, you can’t do anything!”

Lotcar didn’t respond but simply picked up Hake on his back, bowed his head to thank Yang Yu, and then left without looking back.
