Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

35: Chapter 35 Taunting Wave 35: Chapter 35 Taunting Wave The troops of the Goblin King were so unwavering because they obeyed the Goblin King’s orders without question, launching their attack when they ambushed the people in the forest.

Even as their kin fell one by one, they never doubted their king’s orders, believing that charging forward would inevitably lead them to victory.

“My plan is perfect.

If my army obeys me without doubt, where is the problem?”

All the problems arose on their side.

Facing a Goblin Army several times their size, they had no way to hold out, not to mention that my most elite assassination squad was among them.

“Who exactly is commanding the rescue team?”

Turning around, the Goblin King surveyed the chaotic battlefield.

His goblin troops remained unwavering, with only a few retreating, yet they continued to launch surprise attacks under the surge of the large army.

The adventure group fought hidden in the forest, various magics flying about, growing stronger as they fought because they regularly rotated to rest, showing no signs of fatigue.

The central commander of the rescue team was an unremarkable-looking adventurer, still young, the same youth the Goblin King had seen two days earlier through the Crystal Ball, winning a battle by playing tricks.

“It’s actually been him commanding the army all this time.”

Shock was evident on his face, and the Goblin King gritted his teeth.

Damn it, it’s not too late to go defeat him.

As long as I deal with him, my army can completely flatten them.

His body trembling, the Goblin King had just taken a step when Andro’s fist came flying through the air, the wind from it howling like a hurricane, “Getting distracted in a fight is a no-no!

BABY!

Take my ‘Supreme Fist.’”

“Get lost!” Swinging his Long Stick, the Goblin King did not dodge but took Andro’s fist with his chest, and then kicked Andro in the abdomen, sending him flying far away.

Andro soared high like an arrow, smashing into the wooden palace, causing the wooden planks that made up the palace to break apart, crystals balls falling with a crash onto the planks, rolling down from the palace with a rustle.

Blood flowed, Andro was in extreme disarray, unable to continue fighting.

The Goblin King did not go over to finish him off but anxiously rushed towards the battle zone between the two armies.

Unexpectedly, the youth who had been commanding the battle rubbed his shoulders and actively moved to the very front of the rescue team.

“He actually comes forward to court death.”

With his Long Stick held horizontally, filled with Magic Power, the Goblin King was absolutely confident that a single strike would smash the young man in front of him into pulp.

However, Yang Yu merely made a bowing motion and completely avoided the Goblin King’s attack, causing his Long Stick to strike a tree instead.

The tree was severed in the middle, the Goblin King incredulously turned his head back; the young man in front of him had easily dodged his deadly attack.

Clearly, he exuded the aura of a weakling, clearly their strengths were vastly different, yet there was not a trace of fear in his eyes.

“Who on earth are you!”

“Rushing at me like this right upon meeting, you’re quite passionate.” Yang Yu teased, his face full of confidence and the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, “Your next line is, ‘Why were you able to dodge my attack?’”

“Why were you able to dodge my attack.”

What?

The Goblin King’s eyes widened.

“Why could I dodge your Attack?

Hmm—It seems I saw through all your moves.

I thought you would be powerful, but it’s just the same few tricks over and over.”

“How is that possible?

How could you command your team so effectively while also observing my movements and finding my weaknesses?

I can’t even do that…”

How should I explain?

My teammates are too dependable.

Every time I make a decision, they execute it better than I expected.

As a result, I had more downtime, which I used to watch and spot opportunities.

Of course, Yang Yu couldn’t reveal the truth.

He noticed at a glance that the BOSS was charging towards the rescue team.

“Just because you can’t doesn’t mean others can’t.

Maybe you can’t possibly because you’re just not smart enough?”

Now that the rescue team’s Defense was set, the Goblin Army would only be running around exhausted.

Victory was only a matter of time, and only the BOSS stepping in could potentially alter the battle.

Yang Yu had not expected the Goblin King to take a hit from Andro head-on, forcibly kick Andro away, and run over.

So, he had to quickly delegate some tasks, hand over the command to Sekamens, and move forward to meet the challenge.

“Scavenger, let me explain this properly.

War isn’t fought like this.

Don’t think that having an overwhelming number of troops means you can storm in aggressively.

A skilled general can easily turn the tides of battle and win with fewer troops.

As it happens, I am very skilled.”

Yang Yu heavily hinted to the Goblin King, “If you defeat me, your troops will win,” pulling massive aggro, aiming to have the Goblin King focus all his Attacks solely on him.

“However, having nearly ten times more troops, a general with a normal brain shouldn’t get easily counter-killed.

As expected, brawny but simple-minded.

In simple terms, you’re just trash.”

Since he was pulling aggro, he might as well Taunt further, more Taunts could help him acquire the “Taunt” Skill faster.

“You scoundrel!” The Goblin King roared, gripping his Long Stick as flames burst forth, the firelight dancing upon his black Armor, “What do you think got me to this position?”

“I don’t know, but if it were me, I probably would have done it better.” Yang Yu continued to Taunt.

“You know nothing about the world!”

The Goblin King, unable to contain his rage, swung his Long Stick at Yang Yu, who stepped back and let the Attack completely miss.

With Andro’s depleting efforts, the Goblin King had only half his Blood Volume left, while Yang Yu had a perfect 70%, which not only allowed him to use “Sudden Killing Intent” but also withstand a hit from the Goblin King, perfectly controlling his blood.

Beside himself with rage, the Goblin King kept swinging his Long Stick, but his every move and Skill were seen through by Yang Yu.

Compared to the various traps set by Cat Mario, dodging the Goblin King’s Attacks was far too easy.

Because the Attacks were too weak, Yang Yu never intended to take down the Goblin King by himself; he had only one goal.

Yes, it was to buy time.

On one hand, to allow the rescue team to completely gain the upper hand, and on the other, to wait for the Priest he had sent to heal the seriously injured Andro to let him rejoin the fight.

After countless Attacks were dodged, the furious Goblin King somewhat calmed down.

Why does he only dodge and not Attack?

If he truly saw through all my movements, why can’t he find an opportunity to counter?

Could it be that he really doesn’t want to Attack me and is fighting like this just to buy time?

How could it be—without a leader, the longer the time dragged on, the more disadvantageous it should be for them!

The Goblin King purposefully exposed a weakness, glancing towards the troops engaged in mutual combat.

During the period of quantum entanglement between him and Yang Yu, the goblin troops surprisingly started losing ground.
