Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

33: Chapter 33: Everyone is a Drama Master 33: Chapter 33: Everyone is a Drama Master With BUFF applied, Andro felt an overwhelming surge of strength.

At his command, he charged fearlessly into the goblin troops, carving a path straight to the heart of the battle.

The Goblin King confronted him on the spot, having completely seen through Andro’s intentions.

“Commander breaks off the fight just to defeat me, hoping to turn the tide in such a short time.

Naive, just too naive!

I’ll play along for a bit!”

The battlefield instantly split into two parts.

Below the Goblin’s open village was the clash between Andro’s fists and the Goblin King’s Long Stick, while the forest became a battleground of wits and bravery between the goblin troops and the rescue team, the goblins showing bravery and the rescue team their intelligence.

Goblins by nature are a race that fights on the ground, their ability to jump through trees is all due to the years of training by the Goblin King.

Goblins have shorter legs, so learning to jump makes it more convenient for them to move through forests and over human dwellings.

So don’t assume that because they are agile in trees, they are weak on the ground.

Andro swung his fist towards the Goblin King’s face, but the King blocked it with his Long Stick.

Despite a lower level than Andro, the King’s cumulative attributes far exceeded those of Andro, naturally fearing him not.

The majority of the goblin troops are warriors, with only a few archers and no mages or priests, at least Yang Yu didn’t see any, which is why he believed the longer the battle went, the greater his advantage.

“No.6 Priest, heal No.2 Boxer.

Mage No.3, use ‘Lightning Chain’ to strike at the archers who are too far forward.”

The only point Yang Yu found dangerous were the ten Elite Assassin Goblins crawling in the forest, ready to strike like scoundrels at any weak point that appeared, disrupting the battle.

“No.8 Warrior, an arrow in the knee, pull back immediately and bandage up!”

He needed a plan to deal with the lurking group of assassins.

“Mages No.8 and No.9 are out of mana, pull them back for rest.

If there are any Blue Potions, don’t skimp, share them.”

While commanding the defense, Yang Yu brewed a plan, and soon, a bold strategy formed in his mind.

It was a simple yet consistently effective tactic.

Lure the enemy deeper.

“No.8 and No.1 Warriors, you’re low on stamina, come back and rest.”

“Mages No.11 and No.15, you’re out of mana, come back and rest.”

…

The adventurers, surprised at being called by number when they weren’t particularly tired, were ordered back by Yang Yu.

“You are really tired, come back and rest for a while.

Don’t push yourselves.

This is an order,” Yang Yu insisted firmly.

The adventurers looked at each other, realizing those called back were all previously engaging or supporting against Assassin Goblins.

They feigned exhaustion and withdrew from the fight.

With these individuals’ departure, the previously disadvantaged situation against the goblins instantly turned, as the goblins attacked vigorously.

Yang Yu seriously used the current team to withstand the onslaught, the situation growing tense again.

Looking at the few who had just been called down, Yang Yu showed a look of difficulty and signaled them, reluctantly saying,

“No choice, although you’ve only rested for a short while, you’ll have to go in again.

With your current condition, you can probably last about five or six minutes.

After that, if you really can’t hold, I’ll step in personally.”

When he spoke of entering the fray personally, Yang Yu’s tone grew markedly heavier; the members nodded and, pretending to be tired, returned to the battlefield.

Under the fiery command of Yang Yu, the battle situation began to turn around on a small scale, and the Goblin Assassination Squad gradually became impatient.

A few minutes later, Yang Yu called off a weary warrior and took his place.

Taking this as the signal, Mage No.11, who was midway through casting a spell, suddenly faltered, his face filled with anxiety.

“Ah, I’m out of mana, I really can’t shoot any more!”

In reality, he still had half his mana left.

“I can still hold on for a while.

Commander, you should swap someone else out first!” said No.1 Warrior Sekamens, panting heavily, his spear-hand movements slowing down, barely able to fend off the enemy, but actually, he still had plenty of stamina, holding the line for another half an hour wouldn’t be a problem.

“Ah!

I can’t take it anymore, Commander, I request a break.” No.

8 Warrior even purposefully staggered, taking a goblin axe blow, his face portraying a “this is too hard” expression, when in fact, he was in the best condition.

These guys were all acting masters.

Initially, Yang Yu wasn’t sure if they understood his intentions, but now he realized he had worried unnecessarily.

His teammates not only understood his intentions excellently but also executed the plan perfectly.

Originally, if they did not understand, Yang Yu planned to forcibly create a gap, showing vulnerability.

Now it seemed unnecessary; it was all about whether the enemy would fall into this trap.

The Elite Assassin Goblins had been waiting in the trees, ready to strike at any moment.

The Goblin King and Andro were locked in a dead heat, they wanted to intervene, but the King’s orders were absolute; they had to assist the regular army in killing the insignificant rabble.

What they did not expect was that these humans were not overwhelmed by the goblin army in a single strike; instead, they held firm, leaving them unable to interfere and only able to shoot hidden arrows from the shadows, having great skills but no opportunity to use them.

Suddenly, a move by Yang Yu caught their attention—it was when he just brought back a warrior who had been swapped out not long before.

Why would he do that?

The Elite Assassin Squad remembered that these adventurers had already been through several battles before coming here, even annihilating an Elite Assassin Squad, arriving here completely exhausted.

Yet, they hadn’t expected there to be so many goblins, forcing them to put up a defense and resist desperately.

Observing from the trees, the Goblin Assassin Squad confirmed their thoughts.

The adventurers were already exhausted, even the one commanding had been forced to join the fight, and those forcefully brought to the front line all looked weak.

This was the moment to leap over and cut down the utterly exhausted humans, causing the enemy’s line to collapse instantly.

If not now, then when?

The Elite Assassin Goblins unanimously approved the initiative and launched the assault, drawing their daggers and attacking rapidly from all directions.

“The fish has taken the bait, this is truly a splendid fishing.”

The joy inside did not show on Yang Yu’s face, instead, he appeared extremely anxious.

The few actors, upon seeing Yang Yu’s panicked expression, also felt a bit panicky, wondering if they had misunderstood something.

But when they saw the fierce goblins leap from the trees, they no longer thought about anything else and concentrated on dealing with the Elite Assassin Goblins.

The Elite Assassin Goblins, having misjudged their stamina, or perhaps trying to conserve their energy for the next opponent, were unprepared for the counterattack and were utterly defeated by the adventurers’ powerful moves.

The adventurers, having dealt with their opponents, quickly looked towards Yang Yu, only to see him casually kicking aside the body of an Elite Assassin Goblin, ignoring the bleeding from his abdomen, opening a potion and drinking it down, then continuing to command the team to resist the goblin army as if nothing had happened.

“No.

8 Warrior, No.

11, No.

15 Mage, I won’t name the rest of you, but what are you spacing out for?

I know you still have stamina, learn from No.

1, after dealing with them, quickly join the fight.

Do you want the line to collapse?”

The crowd was speechless.

It turned out the real leading actor had always been right beside them; they were just extras.
