Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 545: Chapter 178: The Value of the Planet, Reasons for Development_4

Therefore, in the aspect of resource extraction, it can be classified at a very high level, such as level 4.

Although the Sky Steel produced by the airfish is only a high-grade metal material, the airfish itself is considered a special level resource.

So in the end, the value of the star system of Rimu Star will be identified as level 4.

This is what the boss personally told him.

Incidentally, the boss also told Chen Ming to send him all the data and star map coordinates of the planets within the star system he investigated.

He will help determine the value of the star system, and conveniently, after a period of time,

help Chen Ming sell the data of these planets.

Of course, Chen Ming also roughly understands some methods for assessing the value of star systems.

He can barely judge the value of a star system, but the result might not be very accurate.

The value judgment of star systems is usually divided into 5 levels, similar to planets, primarily looking at the potential for development.

However, one thing is certain, a star system with a level 5 development potential must have at least one level 5 planet and at least two level 4 planets, with the total number of planets in the star system being 7 or more.

And suppose there is an extremely special star system with two level five, three level four planets.

And the remaining planets all being level three or above, with the total number of planets not exceeding 7.

Then this special star system will be called a level 6 star system.

And if the number of planets in the star system exceeds seven under the premise that the planets meet the previous conditions,

as long as there are two planets in the habitable zone of the star system whose development value is below level 3, it can also be called a level 6 star system.

Currently, all the star systems known to Chen Ming where the capitals of all star realms are located are all level 6 star systems.

And this level 6 star system is precisely the star system Chen Ming needs.

Of course, a level 6 star system is not actually an explicit criterion.

It’s just because a star system with at least these planetary advantages can achieve a significant degree of self-sufficiency in star system development.

It can, to some extent, ignore the issue of distance from exchanging with other star systems that have colonies or space stations.

This is why it’s called a unique level 6 star system.

Chen Ming wants to establish a foothold in the universe on his own outside the Empire.

Then a level 6 star system as the initial colony is essential for him.

Although rare, level 6 star systems must exist in the universe.

If he can’t find it, he’ll keep looking.

The data of star systems he discovers during his search, along with the money he’s trying to earn, should be sufficient to support the expenses of the exploration process.

The reason level 6 star systems are so special.

Lies in the expansion path of the Empire.

Actually, what limits the Empire’s expansion is not merely the blockade from reaching the outside world by Dusk and the Mechanical Race, nor is it the restrictions due to the Teleportation Engine needing cooling and frequent maintenance, nor the costs on the expansion path.

But the transportation of supplies.

A team for building a colony consists of at least a thousand people, and more will be needed subsequently.

Moreover, even the early construction of a colony at least begins calculation in years.

If it’s closer, it’s fine, but once the distance becomes far, an extreme distance teleportation cannot be reached in one go.

That means at least one Cruiser loaded with supplies needs to undergo maintenance before using the Teleportation Engine again.

And the maintenance of the Teleportation Engine is very troublesome under normal circumstances.

If there is no transit, the maintenance of the Cruiser midway will cause the efficiency of resource transport to be absurdly low.

But once a transit point is established, unless further investment is made, the construction of the transit point will indirectly slow down the construction of the colony.

But at the moment, the Edge Star Realm here clearly does not have a valuable star system worth such a large investment.

Moreover, it may also be threatened by Dusk and the Mechanical Race midway.

But if it’s a level 6 star system, then there aren’t any of these troubles. After the initial transportation of resources, it can completely be self-sufficient and develop there.

In fact, the development of so many star realms of the Empire is also like this, finding another level 6 star system within a star realm.

Develop this star system, build a Star Gate.

Then expand from this star system towards the surroundings until the star realm develops enough to reconnect with the Empire.

Only this way is the appropriate method to minimize the effects brought by the hassle of supply.

Therefore, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy can, to some extent, reduce the demand for level 6 star systems.

His Spiritual Energy can basically solve all issues regarding resource transmission.

Thus, aside from those in the Empire looking at the impact of his Spiritual Energy on Dusk, there’s also a faction among the Empire’s leadership that sees his Spiritual Energy’s strength in expansion.

That’s why the boss previously mentioned that he’s already a special person.

Because of this, he was able to smoothly leave the Empire without any internal obstruction, given his Spiritual Energy has a unique role against the formidable enemy of Dusk.

There are people inside the Empire who want to see whether he should be used for exploration or against Dusk.

Chen Ming understood this after chatting with the boss before.

He also understands the responsibility forcefully attached to him due to his Spiritual Energy and identity.

This is why he strives so hard to learn; he must be capable of existing independently of the Empire. Only then, he won’t be influenced by any other person.

Given his current advantageous position, he can’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

He must expand outward, seizing opportunities for himself.
