Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 507: Chapter 169: Fan Chao, Extraordinary_2

The Alpha Level Dusk capable of controlling the Main Ship really gives one a pleasant feeling.

For this occasion, the additional enhancement Chen Ming can append is obvious; the choice of ”Elite Individual” is necessary.

However, it can’t be done now, at least not until Chen Ming finishes what he needs to do next and takes a break to apply the extra enhancement.

Thus, Chen Ming also needs to name this Alpha Core.

Its original code was HRYY1-APGU2, which was a bit too long.

After a brief moment of thought, Chen Ming decided on its name by looking at the first two letters of its code: HR.

At that moment.

Chen Ming also noticed that HR had fully Awakened from its sleep and connected to the Supreme Point control system.

As he usually did when encountering a new Dusk individual under his control, he habitually greeted, ”Hello?”

”...”

HR did not reply to Chen Ming through the Supreme Point’s communication device. Instead, there was a long silence.

Chen Ming opened the panel to check and confirmed that HR was not damaged, so he asked again, ”Are you okay?”

HR remained silent for a while before reluctantly squeezing out two words: ”Not good.”

This scene gave Chen Ming a sudden sense of déjà vu.

It was as if when he had just acquired the Torrent Level and found Gamma Z on it.

But Gamma Z had been in a human environment for a long time and adapted quickly when it met Chen Ming.

However, HR was clearly different.

Chen Ming could understand.

Bai Quan had just mentioned that Alpha Level combat-type Dusk individuals often voluntarily enter a permanent slumber after being captured, possibly never to awaken.

Yet HR suddenly Awoke one day, finding itself captured by Chen Ming and with no ability to resist.

Anyone in that situation would feel uncomfortable.

Chen Ming figured that HR must have developed some level of introversion.

It seemed like he needed to have the other Alpha Dusks chat with it, preferably find Brilliant to impart some of Brilliant’s thoughts to HR.

Meanwhile, let Brilliant help convey that Chen Ming meant to call it HR.

Chen Ming valued his Dusk individuals under his direct control and typically avoided forceful control.

After all, HR’s core was already influenced by his Spiritual Energy, as long as he was alive, HR wouldn’t escape, and he had all the time in the world to naturally sort out the relationship over time.

HR appeared to have strong combat capabilities, and its actual combat power would likely be enhanced with the right ship.

But Chen Ming had no intention of taking it to the Mechanical Race front.

After all, it was currently his strongest combat power, best used to protect this temporary base loaded with all of Chen Ming’s assets.

Moreover, HR was still in its introverted state, so unless Chen Ming issued a forceful command, it probably wouldn’t follow him out.

As always, he preferred not to use overly strong means to communicate with any Dusk under his direct control.

It was best to wait and see.

See if Brilliant could persuade it over, then move it onto the Refraction Level.

This heavy cruiser was currently the ship that could best utilize HR’s potential.

As for the currently research-capable individual, Small 2, on the Refraction, it could be moved to another ship or simply relocated to Chen Ming’s Supreme Point.

At least there were some research facilities available on the Supreme Point.

Small 2 usually had little to do at the temporary base, so it might as well come to help Chen Ming share some of the pressure of taking the ship out, while using the ship’s scattered research equipment to do something meaningful.

Having decided on HR’s arrangements, Chen Ming turned his attention back to Radiant’s panel.

In fact, he’d looked at it before, but there was no harm in reviewing it again now.

[Dusk Alpha Level AI Core (Radiant)]

[Manufacturer: Dusk BP-55 Colony Extreme North Industrial Production Center]

[Alpha Level Core Enhancement: Target Analysis]

[Self-consciousness: Exists]

[Computational Power: Star System Level]

[Executable Operations: None]

This time, when Chen Ming saw the core enhancement ”Target Analysis,” he was briefly stunned.

No wonder he felt a sense of familiarity when he viewed HR’s panel—there was an enhancement option he had encountered recently, although the impression wasn’t too deep.

Turns out, it was the core enhancement for Radiant next to it.

Chen Ming suddenly felt a bit uneasy.

After all, this was Radiant’s own logical block of advantage, yet in the end, it was mastered by another individual.

This left him with a peculiar feeling.

However, the impact was minor.

HR could learn to a level where ”Target Analysis” appeared on the panel.

Then theoretically, Radiant could also master HR’s ”Energy Concentration Effect”—a technique for using Energy Weapons to an equivalent level. Chen Ming could then enhance Radiant with the Energy Concentration Effect.

Radiant’s six additional capabilities were quite special.

They were ”Ship Maneuverability,” ”Maneuver Command,” ”System Specialization,” ”Navigation Technology,” ”High-Precision Sensing,” and ”Extreme Fire Control.”

From this, it could be seen that although Radiant was a combat-type Dusk individual, its actual combat capabilities were entirely different from HR’s.

Instead, it resembled what Chen Ming previously speculated—it had Ranger-style mobility operations capabilities.

Its first two capabilities, ”Ship Maneuverability” and ”Maneuver Command,” could enhance the mobility operations of the ship it controlled and the fleets under its command, forming the foundation of its identity as a Ranger.
