Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 503: Chapter 168 Elite Individual_2

The Dusk in his hand certainly couldn’t support so many transit points.

So after the exploration of the front transit points, these points would gradually transfer materials and the points themselves to the ones set up further behind, moving towards more outer star realms.

Like a necklace with only a few pearls slowly extending out.

It’s precisely at that point that the Supreme Point becomes practically useful.

The role of a Cruiser Level exploration ship lies in pioneering unknown Superspace Channels.

If everything goes smoothly, then after Chen Ming’s initial few teleports.

He would reach areas that are quite a distance from the Empire’s borders, locations no one has ever set foot upon.

This place will not be like within the Empire, where there are always people managing the cloud of Superspace Channels.

Therefore, the scattered channel clouds will cover the naturally occurring Superspace Channels between star systems due to the influence of gravity wells, leading to blockages.

The Supreme Point would need to reopen channels between different star systems, finding stable paths through the stormy Superspace Channel clouds to the next star system.

Facilitating subsequent spacecraft investigations of different star systems without having to travel slowly through space.

Once the channel is opened, the subsequent spacecraft confirm which star systems opened by Supreme Point contain detailed investigation value, then turn back to initiate the deep investigation function.

This is bound to be a long process.

Everything is just beginning.

Only four or five days had passed since Chen Ming had left Dusk, and he wasn’t in a rush at all.

His fleet wasn’t complete yet; there was still a Stardust Level behind.

Throughout this whole process, apart from the initial planning, there really wasn’t much else he could do.

The most would be providing daily fuel transportation for the outbound spacecraft and the next temporary base, to maintain fuel consumption for the roaming ships.

And in choosing the next temporary base for teleportation, careful selection was needed.

It’s best to choose a planet with gaseous giants or other resources, for fuel collection or establishing basic industrial equipment.

To ease the financial and Spiritual Power consumption pressures on him.

There wasn’t much else Chen Ming needed to worry about.

After all, finding a suitable planet was all about luck, and giving orders to so many spacecraft and Dusk was all up to Brilliant.

Once Chen Ming completed the planned tasks, besides using some Spiritual Energy, he could only wait idly.

So near the Empire’s border, where the density of Superspace Channel clouds wasn’t too high and the Supreme Point wasn’t needed.

Chen Ming still had time to do what he wanted.

Like training Spiritual Power, learning command with Bai Quan, researching various technologies, especially Cruiser Level technologies.

Or, visit the planet where the Mechanical Race was found, previously investigated by Refraction.

Refraction, which had turned into a ball and was eaten by Yan Xiong, had discovered several valuable planets along with Chen Ming’s test of the Unstable Hyperspace Navigation Teleportation Engine.

Among them was a habitable planet with the presence of the Mechanical Race.

At the time, Refraction had only conducted a brief investigation under Chen Ming’s control, surveying the general situation of the planet, fleeing quickly to avoid the potentially dormant Mechanical Race from waking and destroying Refraction.

Even with a simple survey, Chen Ming could confirm that the number of Mechanical Race on the planet wasn’t many.

The Mechanical Race buildings were roughly the size of a city.

But it’s unclear if there are more Mechanical Race entities underground.

However, Chen Ming felt it was definitely worth a try to go over there.

To see if there were any valuable items in the Mechanical Race city.

If he could indeed find something like the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor, it would absolutely be a profitable affair.

Additionally, Chen Ming wasn’t worried about the Mechanical Race causing trouble for him.

If he couldn’t beat them, the worst would be retreating towards the Empire.

Anyway, his current position wasn’t far from the Empire; fleeing back wouldn’t be shameful for Chen Ming.

Looping around inside the Empire, the trailing Mechanical Race would surely be doomed, and he wouldn’t have to worry about being tracked or anything.

Moreover, doing so had another advantage.

Chen Ming could ascertain whether his ability could control these Mechanical Races.

Thus, how to enter or attack the city was evidently a matter that needed consideration.

Direct orbital bombardment might be a suitable approach, but it obviously relied on the Cruiser to carry out.

The Supreme Point was not a combat ship; matters of fighting had to be left to other ships.

Furthermore, for his own safety, apart from this trip to the Mechanical Race, he should also ideally have Dusk and the fleet accompany him at other times.

So, when considering which Dusk should accompany him to the Mechanical Race, Chen Ming needed to think it over a bit.

First, he needed to confirm the state of the Dusk cores he had, especially those few Alpha Level Dusk.

Currently, the Dusk personally controlled by Chen Ming was quite limited.

The three originally Gamma Level, all now upgraded to Beta Levels: Gamma A, Gamma B, and Gamma Z.

Five Alpha Levels: Brilliant, Radiant, the Alpha Level Dusk given by Bai Quan, and the Alpha Level Dusk he took from Dusk’s giant shipyard.

Plus, the Alpha Core on the completely unnoticed Flashing Level.

No need to consider the Beta Level Dusk without the core bonus of Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy.
