Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 525: Chapter 173 Setup of the Bait_4

And quickly reached the limit of his Spiritual Power.

This time, Chen Ming didn’t force himself and naturally fell into a coma.

By the next day, everything was ready.

Chen Ming energetically climbed out of bed.

The first thing he did was to check the situation over at the temporary base.

The prototype of the temporary base was now basically established, and the construction of the Star Port was progressing step by step.

Some ships with combat capabilities had already left the base and started exploring nearby Star Systems.

Once the Star Port was completed, nearly half of Chen Ming’s ships could go out to explore and seek valuable Star Systems.

If the exploration is limited to finding Star Systems with potentially habitable Planets, then Chen Ming estimated that his Dusk could mobilize and thoroughly explore the surrounding 400 light-years within a week.

Of course, a more detailed and broader investigation would take longer.

Anyway, Chen Ming had plenty of time, so he wasn’t in a rush.

It was no use rushing; controlling the Mechanical Race on the Planet would still take a lot of effort.

After confirming the situation at the base,

Brilliant brought Chen Ming good news.

It had talked with HR.

HR learned about the significance of Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy to Dusk.

Moreover, the bonus from the core enhancement of the ”Elite Individual” that Chen Ming gave to HR last night also counted as an assist for Brilliant.

So when Brilliant came over today, it said to Chen Ming: ”HR said it would help you protect here, but it doesn’t want to do anything else for now, please understand, it still needs time to consider.”

Chen Ming felt that Brilliant might have exaggerated a bit.

But the overall meaning probably remained unchanged.

All the Dusks controlled by Chen Ming were aware of their situation, knowing they had no retreat.

HR was clearly the same; it was a rational choice to delay and give itself some time to think.

Nevertheless, as said earlier, Chen Ming wasn’t in a hurry,

after all, it’s unlikely that there would be a Cruiser-level battle in the nearby Star Systems close to the Empire’s border anytime soon, so there was no need to rush to make HR forcefully follow his orders.

Moreover, HR said it would help protect here; it won’t go back on its promise.

If the situation becomes unavoidable, Chen Ming is not someone who doesn’t know how to adapt.

In any case, his relationship with HR improved to some extent.

Progress is always good news.

After talking with Brilliant,

Chen Ming casually opened HR’s panel to take a look.

[Elite · Dusk Alpha-Level AI Core (HR)]

[Manufacturer: Dusk B-01 Colony Near-Earth Orbit Industrial Facility]

[Alpha-Level Core Bonus: Energy Concentration Effect]

[Self-consciousness: Exists]

[Computational Power: Star Zone Level]

[Executable Operations: None]

Aside from the name turning gold, and the ”Elite Individual” not appearing in the core bonus but before the name, there wasn’t much change otherwise.

However, when Chen Ming opened the panel for additional core bonuses and saw that the number of additional core bonuses that could be attached was 2,

he was very pleased and closed the panel.

Next, it was time to continue handling yesterday’s matters.

Yesterday, Chen Ming instructed Old Wu to purchase five materials that looked similar to his Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin, with a transparent amber-like appearance.

Among them, three easier ones were already in place, delivered by Old Wu to the Space Station’s No. 6 arm.

Using Transformation Energy, Chen Ming could directly bring these to himself.

As the process of Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin and adding additional core bonuses to the Alpha Dusk consumed 100% of Spiritual Power,

and also required Chen Ming’s consciousness to remain awake, not fall into a coma.

So just like before, he came to the kitchen, holding the knife in his hand first.

When Chen Ming left the Space Station earlier, the boss specifically gave him a few medical robots.

One of them was stationed here in the kitchen.

No need to worry about timely medical assistance if injured.

Before, Chen Ming was a bit uneasy, thinking the boss misunderstood him.

But now...

It seems the boss wasn’t wrong.

At this moment, while video-calling with the president and just sending over the Supreme Point recordings taken for retrieval after talking with Chen Ming, the boss sneezed.

The president paused their conversation with the boss, asking, ”Caught a cold?”

The boss nodded slightly: ”Maybe, lying down every day has weakened my fitness.”

”But never mind, let’s continue talking about Xiao Ming, I have high hopes for him.”

”Look at this motion of stabbing oneself with a knife, isn’t it very much like the little madman I favored before?”

”Didn’t that little madman die?”

”Uh, yeah...”
