Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 526: Chapter 174 Biomass Spaceship

Chen Ming held a knife in one hand, while he brought the three materials with a transparent amber appearance into position with the other.

According to the process recorded in the document provided by the president beforehand, he began to guide his Spiritual Power into the material, gradually converging it on the materials where he was attempting the gathering process.

The process of actively excluding Spiritual Power from the body felt to Chen Ming almost like using Spiritual Energy normally, except that there were no actual effects.

There was nothing particularly special about the other aspects.

Time ticked away second by second.

Chen Ming had already guided almost all of his total Spiritual Power outside his body.

In his hand, a visible mass of air twisted as if by fiery heat appeared.

This was the product of highly compressed Spiritual Power, nearly substantial.

Yet at this moment, he still did not sense any resonance between himself and the three materials in his hand.

Chen Ming had a bad premonition in his heart but still continued, guiding all of his personal Spiritual Power into his hand.

He relied on the slight Spiritual Power restored by the unusual hive network to observe the materials and the highly gathered mass of Spiritual Power in his hand.

And the result...

There was no reaction from the three materials.

They were not the materials Chen Ming needed for gathering the Spiritual Energy Origin.

Thus, he could only give up, attempting to reabsorb the Spiritual Power.

However, just as recorded in the document given by the president.

The difficulty of reabsorbing the Spiritual Power led outside, exposed to the external environment, was much greater than guiding out newly generated Spiritual Power from inside.

At least with his Spiritual Power nearly exhausted, there was no way to maintain the cohesion of the Spiritual Power while simultaneously absorbing it back.

In the end, he merely absorbed roughly thirty percent of the Spiritual Power back.

This first attempt was a failure.

However, Chen Ming had already anticipated this, so it was not too unexpected.

If it were that easy to succeed, gathering the Spiritual Energy Origin wouldn’t be so rare.

Next, he could only wait for the subsequent materials to be delivered and try the remaining two materials to see if they had any effect.

If neither of the next two materials worked, he’d have to resort to his prior plan of using the special gathering Spiritual Energy Origin as bait.

During the remaining hours of the day, Chen Ming couldn’t accomplish much.

He simply let a drone, called Tornado by Chen Ming, equipped with a propeller, fly around the Insect Nest carrying the gathered Spiritual Energy Origin to leave more traces of Spiritual Energy Fluctuation.

And as the Tornado passed this time.

Chen Ming didn’t even need to use the Supreme Point’s scanning array to see with the naked eye that some insects were searching the ground for the traces of Spiritual Energy Fluctuation he left yesterday.

The bait worked.

So, this time, Chen Ming didn’t let the Tornado go past again but circled a few times at a distance before returning to the landing craft and back to the Supreme Point.

To prevent the suspicious Tornado drone from being discovered by the Insect Race, causing unnecessary vigilance.

After accomplishing this task.

Chen Ming dispatched a few robots equipped with several gamma cores available at hand, along with over a dozen ordinary robots, to the Mechanical Race’s city.

Having these robots engage with the damaged Mechanical Race within the city.

Controlling them.

To save Chen Ming energy and time.

Where appropriate targets couldn’t be found, they could help carry out other intact Mechanical Race from the city.

Transport them back to the landing craft, return them to the Supreme Point for centralized control.

After all, these Mechanical Races appear intact, so if Chen Ming doesn’t want to damage their armor or have an open conflict with the Mechanical Race, he has no choice but to handle it this way.

Moreover, he tried it before yesterday.

Letting controlled robots engage with those dormant Mechanical Races posed no issues.

All dormant Mechanical Races had no reaction upon being touched.

As long as there was time and enough working robots.

Chen Ming could eventually transport the entire city empty.

At the temporary base, there were still many dormant gamma cores with nothing to do.

If he wished, he could transport a batch anytime.

Of course, for safety reasons, those dispatched to transport dormant Mechanical Races only infiltrated areas where Chen Ming could ensure no active Mechanical Race was present.

Areas with active Mechanical Races were handled by those already under his control.

The city’s Mechanical Races couldn’t discern their own group from those abnormal individuals controlled by Chen Ming.

Even exposed, his Mechanical Race wouldn’t cause any issues in front of others.

It could only be said that this abandoned city no longer had any normal environment.

These Mechanical Races had even lost basic behavioral logic, having only an instinctive reaction to counterattack when under attack.

As long as Brilliant helped arrange what work each robot needed to do and intervene when necessary, there was nothing to worry about.

Rather than worrying about controlling so many Mechanical Races.

Although the Spiritual Power consumption while controlling each Mechanical Race individually was minimal.
