After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2101: Chapter 2105: The Shredded Dress

Xu Xia took out the shirt and suit prepared for her and put them on. Leng Zirui carried another handbag into the room and placed it beside the bed.

”I’ve ordered breakfast for you. I’m sorry I can’t stay to eat it with you.”

Xu Xia was not appreciative, merely turning her face away, refusing to look at him.

Leng Zirui’s gaze fell on her lips as he bent down, holding her face, ultimately not kissing her lips. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to; rather, he feared it would upset her. He lowered his face and kissed her forehead before slowly straightening up.

”Honey, I really have to go. We... will meet later.”

At this moment, Xu Xia wished he would just leave as far as possible, utterly unable to sense the reluctance in his tone.

”Don’t try to leave. A woman ROY wants, even if she escapes to the ends of the earth, I’ll bring her back!”

Throwing down a threat, Leng Zirui’s fingers still on her face, he took one last look at her before turning around and walking out the door.

Xu Xia listened to his voice from the side, heard the sound of his footsteps fade away, heard him open the door, heard him close it... She immediately twisted her body, exerting great effort to roll off the bed onto the carpet, slowly unwrapping the ”Red Gauze” wrapping on her.

Standing up, she quickly glanced at herself and indeed saw her underwear was still on, faint traces of blood visible.

Her gaze swept across the torn dress on the carpet, and Xu Xia cursed in her heart, grabbing the paper bag and hurriedly draping the clothes inside over herself.

She walked into the living room, took her handbag, put on her shoes, and carefully walked out to the door, listening intently to ensure no one was outside before slowly opening the door.

In the hallway, there was no one. Xu Xia swiftly ran out, frantically rushing toward the elevator. Watching the elevator descend, she finally reached into her handbag for her phone, dialed Lan Zi’s number, ”Sister Lanzi, where are you?”

”We’re already on the film set, are you getting here soon?” Lan Zi’s tone sounded urgent on the other end of the phone.

Her tone was entirely oblivious.

”You guys... you guys have already left?!” Xu Xia asked cautiously.

”I’m at the film set with Xiao Gao, Xiao Jie and the others are downstairs waiting for you; just call them directly...” Lan Zi paused, ”Xiao Xia, are you alright, is something wrong?”

”No... nothing, I’m just curious why you aren’t at the hotel.”

Xu Xia gritted her teeth, trying to control her emotions.

She really didn’t want anyone to bring this matter up.

”I went to see you this morning, knocked but got no response. The staff said you were still sleeping; I couldn’t enter your room, so I left Xiao Jie downstairs waiting for you, and I came to the set first.” Lan Zi explained.

Last night, after entering the room, a hotel PR manager came to her room to discuss an advertising deal, chatting until late. Lan Zi had no idea things would turn out this way for Xu Xia. When she got up in the morning, unable to wake Xu Xia, she instructed Xiao Jie and the group to wait for her, while she proceeded to the set to prepare.

”I’m... I’m going back to the hotel to change clothes, so I might be a bit late; please wait a bit.”

After speaking, Xu Xia hung up, lowered her phone, and a tear slipped down her face, crashing onto the back of her hand.

Though this incident didn’t cross the final line, and she was typically quite open-minded, rather than traditional, the situation still caused significant harm to her.
