After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2119: Chapter 2123: Or Maybe, I Forgot

Leng Zimo met her gaze and raised the corner of his lips, ”No, I like this color. It’s as pure as lake water, just like you.”

Turning to the side, Leng Zimo glanced at the two maids who had re-entered the kitchen and immediately pointed at the plates on the table with his hand.

”Take these out too.”

Saying this, he also picked up a tray from the table and nodded politely to Luo Xiaoqian, making a gesture of invitation.

Knowing that he couldn’t speak freely with her in front of the maids, Luo Xiaoqian responded with a knowing smile and carried the juice out of the kitchen.

”Are we having a barbecue for lunch?”

”Yes, madam, sir said we’ll have a barbecue by the seaside. Mr. ROY is here too.”

”Is that so?” Luo Xiaoqian sipped the juice, responding casually.

Since she couldn’t remember what Leng Zirui did when they first met, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t feel any dislike toward him now. Because Leng Zirui was invited by Leng Zimo, she actually felt a slight fondness for him, more than she did for Luo Ke.

She took a few steps forward, pretending to drink juice, and naturally fell in step, keeping a few paces distance beside Leng Zimo.

Leng Zimo was observant by nature, especially since Luo Xiaoqian was the person he cared about the most. Her small actions naturally caught his attention. Feeling her closeness, Leng Zimo’s mood was exceptionally bright.

They arrived at the seaside, where Leng Zirui and Luo Ke had already stopped fishing. There were quite a few catches in the buckets beside them.

Luo Ke owned the island and the sea area within ten kilometers around it. Fishing boats could come here for fishing, and there were plenty of fish, making fishing particularly easy.

The bodyguards and maids had already prepared the grills and such. Upon seeing Luo Xiaoqian, Leng Zirui and Luo Ke simultaneously stood up from their chairs.

”Sissi!” Leng Zirui’s gaze swept past Leng Zimo and fell on Luo Xiaoqian not far from him, ”Your dress looks beautiful today.”

”Thank you.” Luo Xiaoqian politely thanked him.

Luo Ke’s gaze flitted over her dress and landed on her lips, looking at her apologetically, ”Sissi...”

Luo Xiaoqian ignored him and simply walked over to help the maids set the plates.

”Don’t rush.” Leng Zirui reached out and grabbed Luo Ke’s arm, speaking softly, ”Apologizing is the dumbest way. Don’t try to make a big deal out of it; it’ll only make her dislike you more. Just... go help set the plates.”

Luo Ke scoffed.

Set the plates?!

That’s something only maids do.

Leng Zirui no longer paid attention to him but instead strode to the table, assisting Leng Zimo in skewering meats and casually finding an excuse to chat with Luo Xiaoqian.

”Sissi, do you like grilled fish?”

”I don’t know, I’ve never had it.” Luo Xiaoqian placed the plate she was holding on the table, her lips curling self-mockingly, ”Or maybe I’ve forgotten.”

”It’s okay, just try it again if you’ve forgotten.” Leng Zirui said with a smile.

”Alright.” Luo Xiaoqian glanced at Leng Zimo on the other side of the table, ”I also want to know what grilled fish tastes like.”

Of course, the most important thing is—what does his grilled fish taste like?

Leng Zimo lifted his face and smiled at her.

Observing the two of them, the smile on Leng Zirui’s lips grew wider.

Alright, are they already exchanging flirtatious glances?

It seems like big brother and sister-in-law’s second chance at romance is going quite smoothly!
