After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2106: Chapter 2110: I Need to Think Carefully

”Let’s go.” Leng Zirui stood up and walked toward the café’s exit.

Ah Ke snapped back to reality, ”Where to?”

”Luo Ke wants to see me. I need to make a trip to the island.” Leng Zirui slipped his hand into his pocket, fingers gripping the small sunscreen box inside, ”How are the preparations for Roselia’s funeral?”

”The cemetery is already arranged, it can proceed anytime, the date is for you to decide.” Ah Ke replied.

Leng Zirui nodded, ”I need to think it over carefully.”

He indeed had to think it over carefully. Roselia’s funeral would be attended by Luo Ke, giving him a chance to leave the island. If this was planned well, it should allow Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian to escape smoothly.

...

...

Lais Hotel, small side hall.

”What’s going on?” Lei Wenting frowned, glancing at Lei Qingqing’s visibly swollen left cheek, his tone displeased.

”It’s that crazy woman Xu Xia, she dared to hit me right in front of the guests in the lobby!” Lei Qingqing secretly gritted her teeth, ”I will definitely make sure she ends up in Ximi Street.”

”Did you use her to entertain ROY yesterday?” Lei Wenting asked.

Lei Qingqing picked up on the displeasure in his tone, ”Isn’t that allowed?”

”At times like this, we need to keep everything as low-key as possible.” Lei Wenting said.

”It’s just a minor celebrity, what’s the big deal?” Lei Qingqing dismissed.

”What do you know?” Lei Wenting furrowed his brow, ”Do you know who her boss is? Emperor View Group!”

”Emperor View?” Lei Qingqing shrugged, ”So what?”

She’d heard of Emperor View, a very influential and powerful company in Asia, but even so, would they really oppose her over a small celebrity? After all, Lei’s also owns several entertainment companies. Why would a company, even as powerful as Emperor View in Asia, oppose her?

”Do you know who owns Emperor View?” Lei Wenting’s expression darkened, ”Leng Zimo, do you know who his father is? Leng Lin!”

Lei Qingqing’s face changed.

She was familiar with the name Leng Lin, and finally understood what her godfather was concerned about.

”It’s nothing,” she laughed as she walked over, holding her godfather’s shoulder, ”It’s just a minor celebrity, they won’t cause us trouble over something so trivial. A businessman knows how to seek benefits and avoid harm, right?”

Lei Wenting snorted, ”What’s done is done, let it go. Next time you do something like this, make sure to investigate thoroughly. How can I trust Lei’s to you like this?”

”Qing Qing understands, rest assured. I’ll be more careful in the future.”

”The matter with Xu Xia ends here. Don’t let a slap provoke further issues. I don’t want any more complications now.” Lei Wenting said in a steady tone.

”I understand.” Lei Qingqing agreed reluctantly.

Lei Wenting raised an eyebrow, ”What did you say?”

Gazing at his steady expression, Lei Qingqing stood straight, ”Yes, godfather!”

Only then did Lei Wenting nod, ”Alright, ROY has been arranging Roselia’s funeral these past few days. I suspect he’s planning to use the funeral for his own ends. You should prepare too.”

Lei Qingqing left the hall with her subordinates, clenching her teeth all the way.

She got hit, but her godfather forbade her from taking revenge. She couldn’t swallow this kind of humiliation.

Xu Xia, I’ll let you live a little longer. After this is over, I’ll make sure you suffer a fate worse than death.
