After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2108: Chapter 2112: Mr. Leng’s Intention

”This is also Mr. Leng’s intention.”

Seeing Xu Xia’s hesitation, Xiao Jie added once more.

Ah Jiu understood Xu Xia’s nature and feared she wouldn’t listen, so he specifically instructed Xiao Jie that if she refused, it should be presented as Leng Zimo’s opinion.

Leng Zimo?

Xu Xia naturally interpreted ”Mr. Leng” as Leng Zimo, because she knew Leng Zirui was still in the United States, so she didn’t even consider Leng Zirui.

Could it be that they’ve already made progress on Xiao Qian’s side, and Leng Zimo and his team are preparing to leave here?

Thinking of this, a rare bright color appeared in Xu Xia’s gloomy mood.

”What about my work?!”

”I’ve already called Miss Lan Zi, asking her to return to discuss with you. Perhaps we can adjust the work plan a little.”

Xiao Jie had just finished speaking when the living room door was pushed open from outside, and Lan Zi hurried in, closed the door, and walked straight to Xiao Jie and Xu Xia.

”What’s happened?!”

”It’s like this.” Xiao Jie took the initiative to speak, and although Xu Xia hadn’t explained, having witnessed it all, Xiao Jie could guess what happened. He felt very guilty, but since the incident had occurred, he had to do his best to fix it, ensuring Xu Xia didn’t face any further issues. ”Mr. Leng hopes Miss Xu can leave Rome as soon as possible. When I called you, it was to ask you to negotiate with Miss Xu Xia regarding work matters, seeking to reschedule any ongoing work; the loss can be covered by the company.”

”This...” Lan Zi furrowed her brow, ”Since it’s President Leng’s intention, I’ll make arrangements immediately.”

Lan Zi also understood the current situation; since Leng Zimo wanted them to leave, there must be a reason. Who is Leng Zimo? He is the head of EM and Emperor View, the boss—when he says for Xu Xia to leave, Lan Zi naturally wouldn’t dare to ignore it.

The main purpose of Xu Xia’s trip to Italy was to shoot promotional photos for the new album, as well as attend two or three events. Except for the event at the Lais Hotel, the others were minor activities that could be postponed, and the promotional photos could be shot elsewhere—a modest loss for Emperor View, just some travel expenses for the crew.

Lan Zi fished out her phone from the bag, but before she could dial, a call came in. She glanced at the number and quickly answered.

”Minister Li, it’s Lan Zi. Is there something you need?”

”There’s an additional project for your team’s work.” Li Qinglin said over the phone.

Lan Zi glanced at Xu Xia with a frown, ”What project?”

”It’s about Xu Xia serving as the image ambassador for the Lais Hotel. I checked, and Xu Xia’s workload for these days isn’t high; with slight schedule adjustments, it should be manageable.” Li Qinglin explained.

”Image ambassador for Lais Hotel?” Lan Zi’s brow furrowed tighter, ”This... I’m afraid it’s not possible; President Leng just called, ordering us back to Beijing immediately.”

”President Leng?” Li Qinglin showed confusion, ”Why?”

Li Qinglin only served as the customer department minister at EM and wouldn’t be aware of Leng Zimo’s confidential matters.

”In any case... this work needs to be canceled.” Lan Zi replied.

”But the contract is already signed, and if we cancel now, EM will have to pay the other party triple the penalty fee!”

”How much?” Lan Zi asked urgently.

”Ninety million.” Li Qinglin revealed the amount.
