After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2146: Chapter 2150: Dreams Are Always the Opposite

”Thanks.”

Leng Zirui pinched the cigarette, striding across the lawn and onto the tree-lined path. He turned to glance at Xu Xia’s window, then looked away and quickened his pace.

To him, work is just work; in his professional state, he never mixes in personal feelings. No matter how big an event may occur, he won’t let it distract him from his work.

Tonight was already an exception for Leng Zirui.

Not even for his father, not even for any occurrence at home, has he ever done so.

Xu Xia is the only exception.

Upstairs, in the bedroom, Xu Xia, who was sleeping peacefully, furrowed her brow in her dreams.

She was dreaming, dreaming of Leng Zirui, who was holding her, comforting her gently, even bandaging her wound and helping her put on the bracelet. He seemed to be talking to her a lot, but she couldn’t quite remember. She only remembered hugging him tightly, there was a faint scent of smoke on him, but she didn’t find it offensive...

Whoosh!

A knife suddenly appeared before her eyes, piercing through Leng Zirui’s chest. Xu Xia looked up and saw ROY standing behind Leng Zirui, smirking at him.

”Zirui!”

Xu Xia sat up abruptly.

”Godmother, did you have a nightmare?!”

Beside her, a young voice chimed in. Luo Jun, looking concerned, took a tissue, climbed onto the bed, and wiped the sweat from Xu Xia’s forehead.

”Mo Mo.” Xu Xia calmed herself, hugged the little guy, ”Up so early?”

”It’s not early, it’s almost eight o’clock.” Luo Jun perched on her lap, helping her wipe away the cold sweat, ”Don’t be afraid, Godmother. My mom always says dreams are the opposite. If you dream about bad things, it’s sure to be good things happening. What did you dream about, Godmother?”

”I... I dreamt about your Uncle Zirui...” Xu Xia pulled the little one into her arms, inhaling the sweet milky scent on him.

”Dreamed Uncle Zirui got hurt?” the little guy guessed.

”Yeah, I dreamt he was stabbed by a bad guy.”

”I told you, dreams are the opposite. Uncle Zirui is so amazing; there’s no way he’d be stabbed by a bad guy.” The little guy patted her back like a little adult, ”Don’t worry, Godmother. Uncle Zirui is already in Rome. He’ll definitely rescue Mom with Dad and take us back to Beijing.”

Xu Xia looked at him and just shook her head self-mockingly, thinking that a grown-up like her needed comfort from a child. If that guy knew, he’d definitely laugh at her, saying even Luo Jun is better.

”Yes, definitely.” She tried to cheer herself up and raised her hand to stroke Luo Jun’s little face.

Seeing the rainbow bracelet on her left wrist, Xu Xia furrowed her brow in confusion.

Last night, she distinctly remembered holding the bracelet and ring in her hand. How did they end up on her wrist? And... the bandage, she clearly remembered tearing it off, so how was it wrapped around her wound again?

Could it be, it wasn’t a dream but reality?!

Or, did she remember it wrong?

...

”What’s wrong, Godmother?” The little guy saw her staring blankly at her hand and spoke with concern, ”Is the wound hurting bad? Should I blow on it for you?”

”It’s nothing.” Xu Xia snapped out of it and smiled reassuringly at him, ”This little wound is nothing. As long as Mo Mo is here, Godmother doesn’t feel any pain.”

”Then Godmother must be hungry, right?” Luo Jun stood up, ”I’ll go get breakfast for Godmother.”

”I’m not a patient; after I wash my face, let’s go together.” Xu Xia flipped the covers and got up.
