After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2136: Chapter 2140: The Difference Between Pearls and Plastic Beads

”Do you really not like my closeness?” Luo Ke moved closer to her, not daring to kiss her again. He just whispered softly in her ear, ”Before, you used to like it when I kissed you...”

Luo Xiaoqian shrank away and slipped out from under his shoulder.

Her wrist tightened as he grabbed her again, ”Sissi...”

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face, her gaze looking penetratingly at him, ”If you don’t want me to hate you, don’t do this kind of thing again!”

Knock, knock, knock!

The sound of knocking on the door echoed.

”Come in!”

Luo Xiaoqian anxiously said aloud, as if she had been granted amnesty.

The door was gently pushed open, and Leng Zimo appeared in their sight holding a tray. On the tray was a glass of juice, a small plate of fruit, and cookies as a midnight snack.

Leng Zimo’s gaze swept over Luo Ke’s hand clasping Luo Xiaoqian’s wrist, and his grip on the tray tightened, ”This is the midnight snack Madam requested. Since she’s not upstairs, it was brought here. I hope I didn’t interrupt you two.”

Before Luo Ke could react, Luo Xiaoqian already withdrew her hand from him, striding across, past him, and quickly went upstairs.

Leng Zimo turned sideways to make way.

Luo Ke frowned as he walked over and glanced at the food on the tray in his hand, suddenly lifting his hand to overturn the tray. Juice and fruit cookies rolled onto the floor.

”In the future, whenever Sissi and I are alone, never show up, or I won’t let you off.”

If you dare to touch my Xiao Qian, I won’t let you off either!

He thought silently to himself.

Luo Ke strode to the study room, pushed the door in, and slammed the door heavily.

...

...

Rome City.

Suburban villa.

Luo Jun sat cross-legged beside Xu Xia’s bed, blowing on the wound on her elbow.

”Godmother is amazing, taking on three people.”

”Of course, if they dare to steal from Godmother, isn’t that asking for trouble?” The little guy chatted with her for a while, and his innocent words also lifted Xu Xia’s mood significantly, letting her share some jokes with him.

”Did that big bad guy Roy help Godmother wrap these?” The little guy looked at her hand, wrapped like a mummy, ”Godmother, is he competing with Uncle Zirui?”

”Competing, competing for what?” Xu Xia didn’t react immediately.

”Competing for Godmother.” Luo Jun lifted his face, blinking his big eyes, ”I guess he must have fallen in love with Godmother.”

Love?!

Xu Xia pouted, Roy only wanted her body, how could he love her?

Of course, she wouldn’t say such things to a child.

”But I’m really curious; are Uncle Zirui and he twins? Do they really look alike?” the little guy asked again.

”Look like what? He’s nowhere near as handsome as your Uncle Zirui, far from it.” Xu Xia immediately retorted, ”I’ll tell you, if you compare him to your Uncle Zirui, it’s simply the difference between pearls and plastic beads.”

The door was knocked, and Ah Jiu and Ah Sang walked in one after the other.

”Mo Mo, time to sleep. Miss Xu is tired too and needs to rest early.”

”Okay.” Luo Jun got off the bed sensibly, ”Godmother, don’t be scared; I’m right next door, and Uncle Ah Jiu and Uncle Ah Sang’s rooms are on either side. We’ll all protect you.”

”Good boy,” Xu Xia lowered her face to kiss his forehead, ”Go sleep.”
