After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2130: Chapter 2134: Hissing in Pain

The elevator stops on the first floor, and the door opens. Shangguan Feng raises his hand to hold the elevator door and gestures politely with one arm, indicating for Xu Xia to go first.

The two walk out of the elevator, and a young man in a suit is already approaching them.

”Sir.”

”Where are the things?” Shangguan Feng asks.

”This is Miss Xu’s handbag, the suitcase is over there.” The young man points a short distance away, where two suitcases are placed, one is Xu Xia’s, the other is Xiao Jie’s.

Shangguan Feng takes the handbag and hands it to Xu Xia, ”Let’s wait on the sofa for a moment, your bodyguard should be down soon.”

Xu Xia responds gently, quickly retrieves her phone from the bag, and dials Ah Jiu’s number. As soon as the call connects, Ah Jiu’s voice comes through.

”Miss Xu?”

”It’s me.”

”We’re almost at the police station, please wait a moment, no more than two minutes.”

”Alright, I’m in the lobby on the first floor. You’ll see me when you come in.”

Xu Xia slips the phone back into her handbag and strides with Shangguan Feng toward the nearby sofa for resting.

Bang!

She had just taken a step when a muffled sound came from the direction of the door, making the three stop in confusion and look over. They saw a staff member pushing documents fall to the ground, with the document cart tipped over and documents scattered everywhere.

Then, a man leaps over the fallen document cart.

The man is tall and lean, his sandy-colored long hair slightly disheveled, and his white shirt is loosely worn, but it doesn’t give off a sloppy feeling, instead exuding an indescribable sexy laziness.

It’s Leng Zirui.

Upon seeing him clearly, Xu Xia’s heart jolts, and she instinctively takes a step back, standing behind Shangguan Feng.

Leng Zirui strides towards the elevator, his gaze sweeps over Shangguan Feng and lands on Xu Xia behind him. His eyes immediately light up, he turns and rushes over, pushing Shangguan Feng aside. Before Xu Xia can react, she’s already tightly embraced in his arms.

”I’m sorry I’m late, I’m sorry...”

Holding Xu Xia close, Leng Zirui gently strokes her long hair, whispering softly by her ear, his voice full of tenderness.

His scent is too familiar, familiar enough to make her immediately think of the one she constantly yearned for, causing Xu Xia to lose focus for a few seconds.

But soon, she realizes he is not Leng Zirui.

So, she lifts her foot and kicks.

Xu Xia initially aims to kick his vulnerable spot, but Leng Zirui holds her too tightly. Their bodies are pressed together, and with her bare feet lifted by his embrace, her legs have limited movement, barely kicking his knee.

Unable to hurt him, her knee feels pain instead.

”Hiss!”

Xu Xia gasps sharply in pain.

Only now does she realize her knee is injured.

Feeling her body tense, and hearing her gasp, Leng Zirui promptly releases her, concernedly looking at her knee.

Her pants have several rips already, though not torn at the knee, the fabric is stained dark red with blood, evident of the injury.

Seeing this, Leng Zirui feels as if his heart is being gripped harshly by a thorn-laden hand, suffocating and overwhelming with agony.

”Damn it!”

He curses softly between clenched teeth.

”Get lost!”

Feeling his arms relax, Xu Xia immediately shoves him away.
